Elle Fanning Talks Playing Princess Aurora: 'She Has More Strength' in 'Maleficent'

Elle Fanning keeps it light and cool in an eyelet top while out to breakfast at Paty’s with her parents in Toluca Lake, Calif., on Friday morning (June 6).

The 16-year-old actress recently spoke with Reuters about taking on the iconic Princess Aurora role for Maleficent.

“In the animated (version), she has all those characteristics of a princess; she is very delicate and frolics around in the forest. In ours she does that, but she has more strength to her, there is a little bit more depth,” she shared.

Elle added, “In live action, you can really show those emotions. She feels sadness and betrayal.”

Oh shut up already the movie sucked balls and was falsely advertized. It’s Disney’s Battlefield Earth – it’s that bad. Yet they sooo desperately want us to sallow their crap and like it. We are sick and tired of CGI soulless garbage! This was FANFICTION not an actually movie – really bad fanfiction.

Aroura is not only not strong she’s absolutely demented. This entire movie had people literally laughing hysterically at the ‘serious’ parts. It was revolting.

She looks beautiful wearing that outfit. I like her role in Super 8 better than Maleficent though. Can’t wait to see more of her films in the future.

@darius: Glad to hear somebody has some common sense! Maleficent was horrible it only got praised because most critics get paid to sell. The only reason it was a box office hit was because there was mostly kids and teenage mothers that went to go see it, which is how i got dragged into seeing it. Kids are having kids now a days so of course it was going to be their first choice.
