Hugh Jackman Bounces Through Tony Awards 2014 Opening Number! (Video)

Hugh Jackman kneels down in excitement after finishing his opening number at the 2014 Tony Awards on Sunday evening (June 8) at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

The 45-year-old actor literally bounced his way through the entire opening segment while making his way through the backstage area of the theater and passing by the actors who would be performing during the show.

The opening number was a continuation of the video Hugh posted on Twitter last week, in which he bounced all around the Big Apple.

In a world full of poseurs – this guy does his job, goes beyond doing his job. Is a joy to behold – watch, listen to, experience. Hugh Jackman stands head and shoulders above many of his peers. Not just in physical height, but in honest to truth ethic. Love him, envy his family.

    sweet gay nan

In todays show business full of pretenders ,poserus and wannabe,
its enjoyment and liberating to see a true artist

  • Gossip is for brainless

@LJ: @jon: Poor deluded f@got.s, sorry this is true talent not que-erness. You’re too ignorant to know that in an happy era populated by normal, serene, relaxed and smart audience, there were artists such as Fred Astaire (straight) Gene Kelly (straight) Howard Keel (straight) Dean Martin (straight) Sammy Davis Junior (straight) and many many more like them, they have made history with musicals, and the showtunes was part of their professionals skills, actually none of them ended up working in gay bar dying poor and understimated because of sick cliches. People who doing or love Broadway show are not gay by default. Thanks God these great artist are born in an era less barbaric of this present. Talent isn’t a matter of sexuality a real artist must be able to do everything. so do not be surprised if people like you are alienated by society, not all are like you in the world.

I seriously can’t believe there are people who hate on Hugh Jackman. He is the most genuine, down-to-earth actor in Hollywood. Love you Hugh!

  • fangirl

I find it ironic that some of his fans don’t see it. He is gay, gay, gay. How is that for being honest and truthful to fans? He’s only staying behind the Hollywood curtain because of the sheer boatload of money from Wolverine.

He is one of the most hard-working actors I know….. Such an amazing person!

Hugh Jackman’s opening number was based on a Bobby Van number in a 1953 movie, “Small Town Girl” & the song was “Take Me To Broadway”… very appropriate for the Tony’s !!!! I’ve seen him in Boy From Oz & he is totally amazing live… nothing phases him…
