Sigourney Weaver is Returning to 'Avatar' Sequels as Different Character

Sigourney Weaver is set to return for the three upcoming Avatar sequels!

Sigourney and I have a long creative history, dating back to 1985 when we made Aliens. We’re good friends who’ve always worked well together,so it just feels right that she’s coming back for the Avatar sequels,” director James Cameron shared in a statement about the 64-year-old actress.

He added, “Her character of Grace Augustine, as fans know, died in the first movie, so she’s playing a different and in many ways more challenging character in the upcoming films. We’re both looking forward to this new creative challenge, the latest chapter in our long and continuing collaboration.”

Pleeeeeeeease, NO sequels to this over-inflated drivel! Empty theaters were one thing. Empty theaters with fake box-office returns was just criminal. Let this stinker end now!

Glad Sigourney is returning. I don’t usually like cgi but with the amazing in your face honesty of this story I was mesmerized. The world usually lies and tries to cover up the truth about its gains and Avatar is the first movie to not apologise for showing situations as they truly are. Wonderful line: ‘when people are sitting on something you want’ you make them your enemy and then you are justified in taking it. Avatar should have won every award and not that dreadful Hurt Locker which used the poor Iraqi people as a backdrop – but then again propaganda has been the tool used by western governments to keep their own people in check for the last 40 or so years..and it seems to works on so many…they lap it up without ever doing their own research or reading history in any form. Yay to Jim Cameron

I think she belongs to the Avatar movies, it would have been less interesting without her.
