Got my copy already. Chris Pine gives a really good nuanced performance in this movie. His Jack Ryan is an interesting and likeable character. I hope there will be more films about Jack Ryan played by Chris Pine. Chris has not disappointed yet. He is a fine actor. This film overall is not so bad either.

I hope all is going well with Chris’s latest projects, especially with his own Mantivities film. Hopefully JJ will bring us any up to date accurate news and pictures.

I like Chris Pine; he’s a solid actor. But do not watch this film if you’re looking for a likealbe lead actress and a plausible plot.
- Would a CIA agent involve his non-spy fiance in a ridiculous and very, very high risk mission, all on a whim?
- Is Keira Knightley capable of not acting with her jaw in any film?
- Is Keira Knightley capable of acting?
- Is Keira Knightley’s american accent the weirdest thing ever?

Ridiculous plot. Good action. Excellent acting from the director/baddie, Chris, and Kevin Costner.

To be fair, I think Keira was very good in Atonement and a few other films. But I don’t think directors know how to give her the right guidance. She overacts very easily. Maybe the directors are so blown away by her beauty they just lose concentration.

#2 – Did you actually watch the film?

Jack Ryan did not involve his fiance. He was dead against it. However, Cheverin’s people picked up the fact that Cathy simply arrived in Moscow before Jack even knew she had come. Jack was trying to maintain his cover when the dinner plans were being made. It was Cathy and Tom Harper who decided that she would become involved, because her simply being there would provide the necessary distraction.

I am have to explain so many obvious things to so many…sigh…

@Oreo Chomp:

I think your Keira hate is blinding you from comprehending parts of the movie. At what part of the movie did Jack willingly allow his fiancée to go undercover on a whim? I thought Kevin Costner’s character was the one who talked her into it?

The film is mediocre. The plot boring. Definitely not buying the DVD.

Going going gone @ 06/12/2014 at 11:40 pm

What good commenters? I guess they went away after Chris’s pedestal broke. Drunk driving is not a good look.

@Sandralee:

You mean all those people who kept slagging him and his girlfriend(s) off. It does seem that they have gone and good riddance. If it was his drunk driving that sent them away (I doubt it), then it may be true that there is a silver lining to just about anything.

Anyway this thread is about Chris’s latest film on DVD being released…
