An artwork project presented by War Child UK, UN Special Envoy Angelina Jolie and fashion designer Stella McCartney.
.
The Draw Me to Safety art project was launched in London at the Global Summit To End Sexual Violence in Conflict.
.
Its aim is to use art created by children from across the UK and conflict-affected countries to promote messages about what the concept of safety means to different children today.
.
The initiative will engage 8-15 years olds in the UK and in conflict-affected countries on the issues facing children in war; asking young people to create artwork answering the question ‘What makes you feel safe?’
.
Stella McCartney will then create an exclusive fashion product inspired by children’s drawings.
.
Proceeds will go directly to War Child UK helping us to protect children in some of the most dangerous war zones in the world.
.
Some early entires created by children from War Child programmes in conflict zones were exhibited at the Global Summit where they were reviewed by Ms Jolie, Ms McCartney and Polline Okello, a survivor from Uganda who was abducted aged 12 (right).
.
This project offers children in the UK the chance to show solidarity with children in conflict-affected countries.
.
All appropriate submissions will be displayed online highlighting both the similarities and differences in the concepts of safety across the world.
.
“I hope that this campaign will encourage people to think about conflict from the perspective of children. It has been very eye opening and moving to see all the different ways in which children illustrate safety. ”
.
Angelina Jolie, UN Special Envoy
.
“This project is about young people standing with children affected by conflict. Children see the world with clarity and honesty.
.
“War Child UK and I are excited to share their insights through art that will raise awareness and encourage the world to do more to protect children from war.”

What it is to be A Woman?
====================
.

By Victor Cherubim Published On:Wednesday, June 11, 2014
.
( June 11, 2014, London, Sri Lanka Guardian) “It is not human to be a woman, but that is what we expect in war, to be called a woman. In the hierarchical structure in society, male dominance empowers life. Man is not only perceived as a symbol of patriotism, but conflict is the driver for his power. This is what it means to be a man, to be both patriotic and in conflict. Thus violence breeds man to overpower woman, in every part of the world.” So said Keedi of ABAAD, an organisation dedicated to the advancement and empowerment of women in Lebanon, at the landmark global summit to “End Sexual Violence in Conflict”.

.
This three day event, 10-12 June 2014,of world men and women leaders was co-hosted by William Hague, British Foreign Secretary and Hollywood star, Angelina Jolie, Special Envoy of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees at Excel Centre, Docklands. London.
.
The background on this summit is to translate the April 2013 G8 “Declaration on Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict”, followed by the launch of the UN General Assembly Declaration of Commitment of September 2013, backed by 150 nations, including Sri Lanka, to shatter the culture of sexual violence, increase the support for survivors and start changing the ground situation in most affected countries. Within a span of nine months real progress at grassroots international level is seen, in engaging the public to participate with over 160 events and the attendance of over 100 countries.
.
“We want to encourage men to speak out, “said William Hague, “to agree that it is only a weak or inadequate man who abuses women. It is not a sign of strength, it is the ultimate weakness and shame.”
.
“We will come after you” says Jolie
—————————————————-

At the opening, actress and campaigner, Angelina Jolie said that the conference sends out a clear message, round the world, to those who abuse women, “in answer to the grievances of girls kidnapped in Nigeria, wives stoned in Pakistan and women raped in many war zones. You see how women are treated and abused. No you can’t and we will come after you.”
.
“Politicians alone with their poor standing on social media and their narrow processes cannot shift the dial on social change. But social change cannot happen without them. Legislation matters, Governments must be involved as well as the people.”
.
She gave the impression that she will work on this, for as long as it takes. She understood her power base and was also pragmatic about it. But stated she is determined to use it to change global attitudes to gender issues in war.
.
The victims of war
—————————

In the various panel discussions at the summit, the norms of Manhood and Gender Relations were examined. The general consensus was to stop violence before it begins. Communities must undertake to study the root causes and design strategies of prevention. In most cases, changing deeply ingrained gender norms and attitudes become necessary, particularly in discussions engaging men in preventing violence against women.
.
“The world makes violent men. Violence is a learned behaviour.” The suggestion is that you can beat violence through innovation, collaboration, contribution of resources, skills training, networking and influence. The data collected and available is that children, in particular girls, make up a significant number of survivors of sexual violence in many conflicts. Adolescent girls are most vulnerable due to a combination of their gender, age, religion and discriminatory social norms that affect their lives. This has been demonstrated recently in Syria, where the threat of sexual violence has been a major contributor to displacement as families flee the conflict. Unfortunately, an additional consequence has been, we were informed, an increase in early and forced marriages and “refugee” girls trafficking among others.
.
“Men are the big mystery”
—————————————-

All over the world, men are the big mystery. Men commit sexual violence for a variety of reasons or for no apparent reason. Discriminatory social norms, like honour and shame, the restrictions on access to public space as well as public resources, community intent, the perception of religious beliefs and not religion as such, the fallacy of men being the stronger of the sexes, environment and school upbringing, all contribute to a false identity of man as the protector and guardian of women. When there is no apparent reason for sexual violence, power is the hidden motive. These manifest differently in different socio-cultural and political contexts and change3 distinctly within conflicts. Here it is well to remember, that our conflict in Sri Lanka seemed to be rather different to recent conflicts around different nations in the world. This perhaps, was in at least one salient feature of conflict, the ferocity and exuberance of anger. This may be debatable.
.
Is violence preventable?
————————————-

The underlying theme of the summit is to examine ways and means of prevention of “Sexual Violence in Conflict”. Sexual violence committed in conflict cannot be divorced from unequal power relations between men and women in peacetime. Ending sexual violence in conflict requires challenging gender inequality in peacetime. Empowering girls and women to resist violence, whether it is physical, verbal/psychological, sexual or economic, is one part of the equation, whilst to access justice and support when it does occur, is the other part of prevention.

Where is sexual violence happening in conflict zones?
===========================================
.

10 June 2014 at 17:40
.

Angelina Jolie is in London heading up a summit on the use of rape as a weapon in war. Newsbeat takes a look at where this is happening across the world and on what scale. Sexual violence is under reported because of risks to survivors and witnesses as well as the people they confide in like human rights groups and journalists.
.
Therefore it’s hard to get accurate data. WHO estimate that 150 million women and girls are raped every year in conflict zones. 73 million men and boys.
.
So where is it happening right now?
.
On what scale is this happening?
Because victims are often too afraid to come forward figures aren’t often available until after a conflict has ended and are usually based on estimates. These figures from a 2013 United Nations report give some kind of idea of the scale of the problem.
.
Rwanda 1994 – between 100,000 and 250,000 women were raped during the three months of genocide there.
.
Sierra Leone 1991-2002 – UN agencies estimate that more than 60,000 women were raped during the civil war.
.
Liberia 1989-2003 – more than 40,000 women involved in sexual violence
.
Democratic Republic of the Congo since 1998 – at least 200,000 victims.
.
Former Yugoslavia 1992-1995 – up to 60,000 victims.

Cyprus joins global event to end sexual violence in conflict
===========================================

Wednesday, 11 June, 2014

.
Cyprus made its voice heard on Wednesday in a global event, with an aim to drive change on the ground regarding sexual violence in conflict, by shattering the culture of impunity that surrounds these crimes, providing more support to survivors, and shifting the stigma of shame from victims to perpetrators.
.

Over 145 countries, 100 NGOs and members of the public are gathering at the Excel Centre London from June 10 to 13 in the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict.

The event in Cyprus was hosted by the British High Commission in Nicosia. Speaking at the event, High Commissioner Matthew Kidd said that `any community, and that includes Cyprus, that has faced conflict has faced also cases of sexual violence in conflict and knows some of the consequences that that can have, short term and then long term`.
.

`So we wanted today to do our part to reflect and echo the messages of the big summit meeting that is happening today in London, including with the presence of the Defence Minister from here, to look at what can be done to uproot sexual violence from conflict situations`, Kidd said.
.

He added that `we want to try to build up awareness of it here to try to encourage people here in Cyprus also to make their voice be heard, give their attention to it, show them too that it is time to act`.
.

In remarks projected at the event, Foreign Secretary William Hague said `sexual violence in conflict is a global issue`, adding that `it is not confined to one region, it has marked nearly every major conflict in our lifetime, and it has affected millions of women, children, and men`.

`But around the world, the appalling crime has been committed in conditions of almost complete impunity, with only a handful of successful prosecutions ever taking place. I believe that we can and must eradicate the horrors of war zone sexual violence once and for all, but to do that we need global action and local leadership`, he pointed out.
.

Hague noted that the Summit is `the biggest meeting of its kind ever held`, adding that `governments, civil society, the media, military, judiciary and the public are all taking part`.

`We are discussing practical steps that will create real change, shattering the culture of impunity that surrounds these crimes, providing more support to victims, shifting the stigma of shame from the victims to the perpetrators, and launching a new international protocol to overcome one of the greatest barriers to justice, which is the lack of evidence`, he said.
.

He added that he wanted `the world to look back at the Global Summit as the moment that global public opinion joined together with a surge of political will to end the impunity that surrounds rape and sexual violence in conflict, so that in the future, far from any judge or prosecutor or law, any man in a conflict zone will think twice before ordering or committing rape`.

Hague noted that `we must now work together with a new focus and determination to remove this terrible weapon from the world`s arsenal of cruelty`, adding that `by taking up this cause we are shouldering a responsibility that our world has avoided for too long and, having taken it up, now we must never set it down again`.

.
He also encouraged everyone to join the online conversation on #TimeToAct.

In remarks also projected at the event, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Special Envoy Angelina Jolie said sexual violence in conflict is `a crime like no other`.

`It is hard to document, let alone investigate. It is so destructive it can lay waste to entire communities. Perpetrators do not discriminate, because these crimes are not about sex, but violence, terror and control. Adults and children of both sexes have been made to suffer the horrors of sexual violence in conflicts all over the world. The thought of someone attacking and raping a child is hard to imagine, but a huge number of victims are very young girls and boys`, Jolie said.

She added that her hope was that `this Summit will be the moment the world takes practical steps to end impunity and enable survivors to receive better support`.
.

`This is no easy task because for many people sexual violence carries a corrosive after effect that lasts a lifetime – shame. The shame of being disowned by your family on top of trauma you have experienced, the stigma of being identified as a survivor of rape, the injustice of seeing the attacker flaunt the freedom they should have been denied by a judge. We must end this impunity because that is the only way that justice can be served and lives can be rebuilt`, Jolie pointed out.

Speaking at the event, Representative of the UNHCR Damtew Dessalegne referred to conflict zones and the horrors experienced by victims, noting that `in all these conflict and displacement situations, rape and sexual violence are a key component of wars their aftermath`.

He also pointed out that sexual violence is not committed for satisfaction `but as a strategic weapon of war to intimidate parties to the conflict by destroying the identity, dignity and social fabric of families and communities`.

During the event, various perspectives of the issue were presented, and personal testimonies were read out. — (KYPE)

Wartime Rape Can Be Stopped, Clinton Tells Sexual Assault Conference
=====================================================.
Filed: 6/11/14 at 6:35 AM | Updated: 6/11/14 at 7:32 AM
.

Clinton joined the conference by way of a video message Zoë Schlanger Former U.S. Secretary of State and likely 2016 presidential contender Hillary Clinton brought a message of hope to global summit on sexual violence in conflict held in London on Wednesday by way of a recorded video message broadcast to a room of hundreds of foreign ministers, human rights professionals, and United Nations staff.
.
“Rape and other forms of sexual violence are not inevitable in war, and we can end this scourge. When women’s bodies become battlefields, when children are mutilated and sold into sexual slavery, when men are dehumanized, we can not and must not sit idly by,” Clinton said. “Instead, we must act and we must unite to have the most affect of our actions, to be resolute in preventing the crimes associated with sexual violence in conflict, and addressing the needs of victims who demand justice and deserve support, not stigma.”
.
Clinton repeatedly commended her “friend and colleague” the British Foreign Secretary William Hague for co-hosting the summit with actress Angelina Jolie.
.
“William Hague has demonstrated unwavering leadership on this issue. He understands that it is ultimately about protecting individuals and promoting international security,” Clinton said.
.
The three-day event, which includes expert panels and discussions with delegates from 115 countries, comes after a two year-long collaboration between Hague and Jolie. Their efforts produced a declaration, now signed by about 150 countries, that pledged to end impunity for wartime rape. But critics worry that for all the discussion and pledge-signing, little concrete change has surfaced, even in countries that have signed the declaration.
.
Nigeria, for example, signed on to the campaign. But Sanam Naraghi, a gender and security expert and U.N. advisor, questions the worth of that signature in light of the government’s slow response to the recent Boko Haram kidnapping. “While the girls remain missing, media reports are linking some members of the Nigerian military to Boko Haram,” Naraghi writes.
.
“The engagement of certain countries with bad track records on addressing violence against women puts the very credibility of this campaign at risk.”
.
Clinton, in her video message, acknowledged that the worth of this week’s meetings depends upon whether or not international stamina on the subject continues.
.
“I know this will require persistence, determination, cooperation, innovation, and commitment. But I am confident that by working together as government leaders, civil society activists, humanitarian professionals, scholars, students, business owners, men and women young and old alike, we can and we will make a difference,” she said. “Do not lose heart. This is an historic opportunity and you are the people to help us seize it.”

.
On cb right now theyve just posted a thread about Angie’s Day 2 at the Summit and the op-ed she co-wrote with hague. And this is the comment from a poster:
.
Mari says:
June 11, 2014 at 7:49 am
I can’t get behind this 100% for various reasons……but an interesting thing I’ll say is that a substantial amount of people seem to believe that getting raped is worse than being murdered and I find that thought process horrifically wrong. I’m sure 99% of decent mothers would LOVE to be raped rather than murdered if it means they can be around to raise their children even just for one more day.”
.
SRSLY? Is this b!tch for real? She believes 99% of mothers would LOVE TO BE RAPED???? i dont care how she tries to qualify it….she says women would LOVE TO BE RAPED!!!!!!!

International law can be deployed to tackle rape in war
==========================================
.

Wednesday 11 June 2014
.
Rape – it is all too easy to say – goes hand in hand with war. Conventional wisdom notes that, for as long as wars have been fought, sexual violence has featured in them. Men with guns are hard to control. That the level of rape in conflict zones does not appear to have fallen since 1945, when the Nuremberg trials labelled it a crime against humanity, points to the stubborn depravity of man, and the difficulty of bringing perpetrators to justice.
.
Yesterday a global summit began in London with the aim of changing that narrative. The task is unquestionably a steep one. Within the last two decades alone hundreds of thousands of women have been victims of sexual violence. Foreign Secretary William Hague, a leading figure at the summit, acknowledges it is an uphill struggle: “If anything, this is getting worse.”
.
Yet in the belief that measures can be taken to limit the scourge of sexual violence, Mr Hague is not mistaken. It will, of course, never be eradicated. But recent studies paint a more nuanced picture of rape’s prevalence in times of war. Not all military forces commit such crimes. Though levels of rape are staggeringly high in the war-torn Democratic Republic of Congo, a survey of all African conflicts between 1989 and 2009 concluded that only 26 per cent of armed groups were reported to have engaged in sexual violence. So what can be done to make soldiers on the front lines think twice?
.
An International Protocol is to be launched to standardise the kind of evidence needed for a case to be brought to court. This will lead to more convictions. So too would a proposal to hold commanders legally responsible for the behaviour of their troops. The law can – and must – make it harder to get away with rape

Watch Angelina Jolie’s moving speech against sexual violence in conflict
=============================================================
.
Wednesday, Jun 11 2014, 10:15 BST
.

Angelina Jolie has delivered a powerful speech against sexual violence in conflict at the current global summit.
.
The four-day event is taking place at London’s ExCeL conference centre, and is the biggest of its kind to ever be held.
.
The Maleficent actress addressed more than 300 international government ministers during her speech. She said: “It is a myth that rape is an inevitable part of conflict. There is nothing inevitable about it. It is a weapon of war aimed at civilians.”
.
She continued: “This whole subject has been taboo for far too long. War zone rape is a crime that thrives on silence and denial.
.
“The stigma harms survivors and causes feelings of shame and worthlessness. It feeds ignorance, such as the notion that rape has anything to do with normal sexual impulses.
.
“But most of all, it allows the rapist to get away with it. They feel above the law because the law rarely touches them and society tolerates them.”
Jolie, a special envoy for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, recently joined British foreign secretary William Hague for the opening day of the event.
.
The pair have been working closely on the government initiative aimed at tackling sexual violence in war zones for the last two years.
.
Hague said that the UK will pledge a further £6 million ($10 million) to help survivors of sexual violence in conflict.
.
Jolie also teamed up with fashion designer friend Stella McCartney and War Child UK to launch a new campaign called ‘Draw Me to Safety’. The campaign aims to highlight the plight of children living in war zones.

Angelina Jolie in sit-down interview tonight with Christiane Amanpour on CNN International at 20:00.

======================================================================================
.

Wednesday, June 11, 2014
.

Angelina Jolie will be doing a sit-down interview with Christiane Amanpour tonight (Wednesday) on Amanpour on CNN International at 20:00 (South African time).
.

Yesterday Angelina Jolie and William Hague, the United Kingdom’s foreign secretary, launched a fight against wartime rape at a four day summit in London – the largest of its kind yet.
.

“This whole subject has been taboo for far too long. Warzone rape is a crime that thrives on silence and denial,” said Angelina Jolie, according to Britain’s The Independent. “Survivors suffer under a stigma which causes feelings of shame and worthlessness”.
.

“Rapists feel above the law, because the law rarely touches them and society tolerates them,” said Angelina Jolie.
.

“This evil will continue, ruing the lives of millions of people, unless we make this summit a turning point. We must send a message around the world that there is no disgrace in being a survivor of sexual violence, that the shame is with the aggressor”.
.
According to The Guardian the conference aims to draw up an international agreement on standards for documenting and investigating sexual violence in conflict zones in an attempt to ensure justice for victims.
.
Campaigners are also pressing for armies to be trained to prevent sexual violence in conflict zones and for more support for survivors.
.
Angelina Jolie said that she wanted to dedicate the conference to a rape victim she recently interviewed in Bosnia, who felt so humiliated by what had happened to her that she could not even tell her own son, reports the BBC.

“She felt that having had no justice for her particular crime, in her particular situation, and having seen the actual man who raped her on the streets free, she really felt abandoned by the world. This day is for her.”
.

Angelina Jolie: Rape in war is not inevitable, shame is on the aggressor
==========================================================
.
By Laura Smith-Spark, CNNJune 10, 2014 — Updated 1518 GMT (2318 HKT)
• .
London (CNN) — “It is a myth that rape is an inevitable part of conflict. There’s nothing inevitable about it. It is a weapon of war aimed at civilians. It has nothing to do with sex, everything to do with power.”
So said Hollywood star Angelina Jolie on Tuesday in London, as she opened the biggest summit of its kind aimed at ending the scourge of sexual violence in conflict.
.
The four-day Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict, hosted by the UK government, will bring together representatives of more than 100 countries, as well as hundreds more experts, survivors, faith leaders, and staffers from NGOs and international organizations.
.
According to the U.N. children’s agency, UNICEF, more than 150 million young girls and 73 million boys experience sexual violence every year, and children in conflict-affected countries are the most vulnerable.
Yet shockingly few perpetrators are ever prosecuted or convicted.
.
Jolie called for the international community to put priority on efforts to hold those responsible for sexual violence to account. And she said it was time to end a culture of silence and denial that helps war zone rape to thrive, and means that the rapists rarely face justice. “They feel above the law because the law rarely touches them and society tolerates them,” she said. “We must send a message around the world that there is no disgrace in being a survivor of sexual violence — that the shame is on the aggressor.”
.
‘Shatter impunity’
.————————-
The summit organizers have four main aims: ending the culture of impunity by agreeing on an international protocol for documenting and investigating sexual violence in conflict zones; taking practical steps to protect women, including by training soldiers and peacekeepers; increasing support for survivors and human rights activists; and achieving a “seismic shift” in attitudes so that the problem is recognized and tackled globally.
.
“We need to shatter that impunity and make justice the norm, not the exception, for these crimes,” Jolie said.
.
“I have met survivors from Afghanistan to Somalia and they are just like us, with one crucial difference: We live in safe countries, with doctors we can go to when we’re hurt, police we can turn to when we’re wronged and institutions that protect us.”
.
It is up to everyone to help make this summit a turning point, Jolie said, and to work across borders, governments and religious faiths to bring an end to the use of rape and sexual violence in war.
“We really can do it,” she said.
.
Speaking alongside Jolie, with whom he launched the campaign to end sexual violence in conflict two years ago, UK Foreign Secretary William Hague pledged another £6 million ($10 million) from the UK government to help support survivors.
.
“We want people around the world to understand the scale of the problem and the urgent need for action, to recognize the damage it does to international peace and security and to be mobilized and inspired to work within their societies and with us to bear down on this terrible injustice,” he said.
.
Time to act
——————
UNICEF called on those at the summit, which runs until Friday, to agree on “concrete measures” to protect children in conflict from rape and abuse. Its own figures give an idea of the scale of the problem.
.
According to UNICEF, about 40% of Congolese women are believed to have been subjected to some form of sexual violence at some point in their lives, while in the most recent conflict in South Sudan, rape has been used by both sides of the conflict during fighting.
.
During the 1994 genocide in Rwanda, an estimated 250,000 to 500,000 women survived rape, UNICEF says, while an estimated 20,000 to 50,000 women were raped during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the early 1990s.
.
In an online post, the agency recounts the “sadly typical” story of a woman in Goma in the Democratic Republic of the Congo whose daughter, born from rape, was called a witch and herself raped, at age 6, by her 14-year-old cousin.
.
Amnesty International
—————————-
Also said it was “time to deliver” on the ambitious goal of ending violence against women in conflict — and the broader but related problem of gender inequality.
.
Pope Francis
——————
The head of the Roman Catholic Church, added his voice to those calling for change.
“Let us pray for all victims of sexual violence in conflict, and those working to end this crime,” he tweeted Tuesday, using the hashtag #TimeToAct.

@Lurking Angelina probably is perspiring from all the walking and expending a great deal of energy. I know it happens to me.

Sorry people, just wanted to post as much before the Meltdown or should I say another day of Screaming in the Ocean begins.

Thanks again Phool. You are doing yeoman’s work.
.
Just saw a short segment on CNN about this summit. I wish Angelina and Hague the best. Who knows what changes will occur but at least they are trying.

Did not realize that Brad is one of the executive producers of Fury.

Love, love

@Phool.: Phool, you are on the ball my friend. Sorry I can’t be here with you today. Just peking in because I should be working right now. You are bringing us some good links and videos, I have to spend one time later to catch up on all, but thank you my dear friend. Phool, it was not the View, it was The Chew, I made a mistake saying it was The Talk. The Chew where they cook, do they served the Jolie Pitt and Perrin wine. with the meal they prepared.

Phool, I see the pervert worrying over Angie not wearing a bra, and not enough powder on her face. I would bet my life Angie without a bra and no powder on her face is a million times better looking than that Greek, tamshitt. Phool, you know this fool with the ever-changing moniker, right now it’s moniker is Lurking. I see lurking can’t tears itself away from a Angies thread just o it missed seeing Angie with all her beauty. Yes, phool tsmshitt is stalking Angie in order to carry out it’s threat to stab
Angelina 100x to kill her as it has promised to do if it meets her in the
street.

Phool, hopefully, i will see you in a few hours. Take care my friend. Ignore the errors. I’m very busy my friend.
Angies under garment but not a word aconite the rape victims, tamshitt really got it’s head all up Angie’s asses.

Thanks Jared for the Summit coverage..

I hope the World pulls together to stop this insanity.

She looked so tired yesterday and dare I say nervous? She probably didn’t sleep a wink and then she was also just in Malta prepping for a film she will likely direct. She looks more rested today and I really like her pants – I bet I’m in the minority?

Wonderful human being… God Bless u Angelina

Gold Dust Woman @ 06/11/2014 at 9:43 am

Just had my daily dose of Angelina, lol.
She looked amazing as usual, just flawless. Her skin is so dewy and fresh close up. If ever a woman should be plugging skin products it is her not the leathery one who is pumped up with fillers.

Angelina’s face is accentuated by the natural contours that age brings. Other actresses have those contours in their 30′s then mysteriously lose them in their 40′s when their face suddenly resembles a fat baby’s bottom, all round and puffy!

@L:

I don’t think saying she was nervous yesterday is a bad thing. I’m sure she was nervous. This kind of Summit has never happened before. She has a lot of responsibility riding on her/Hague’s shoulders. and you never know how the first day is going to go. Will people turn out; will it be perceived in a positive way. So yes nervous is a good word.

I love the pants. I would wear those daily. Comfortable and very chic. She looks good.

Trouble in paradise @ 06/11/2014 at 9:46 am

Why is pitty- fool all of a sudden traveling with angelina like a lost puppy dog again like he did when they first started? In china ange had 3 kids with her which is normal when she is traveling without pitty-fool so why did he have to tag along? Is it just me or does it seem like he is trying to stay close to her because maybe she’s not too happy with him? During interviews she talked about the time they worked at the same time during fury and unbroken. She said it wouldn’t happen again , not because missing pitty-fool but because she had all the kids with her for most of the time and it was difficult she says. Then she went onto say but brad was happy to film in London so that’s what he did. Read between the lines and she was upset that he would rather be onset than with his kids.

———
I knew she would change after the mastectomy and then after filming for months away from pitty-fool. Add what she said about the seperate filming with how she describes her love for pitty-fool as being about family and we got a new Angie who doesn’t really care what pitty-fool does anymore.

———
When he had ange by the tinies he wouldn’t travel as much with her but now that she is slowly but surely slipping away from him now he wants to act like super partner and super dad again.
——-
That shirt he wore with drawing of the two on it was so to get angie because he knows how important the children are to her and wearing a shirt they made for him would touch her heart. ..and also some attention as he walked through the airport knowing full well that the media would talk about it.

#ndn @ 06/11/2014 at 8:47 am
.
“…I got 2 books of Federal and State taxation over the weekend…”LOL well I’ll leave you to your sexy read Ndn rather you than me, teasing aside, I’m happy to see you are reading/learning more than the norm at least it will give you a better grasp of what’s IN at the moment with employers.
Like I said to you earlier I love Angie’s understated casual approach to dressing, she has more important issues than worry herself sick of which designer dress to wear and how should my hair be styled today etc. etc. now if that was you know who, you know they’d be a team of stylist and Hairboys getting them preened for the occasion LOL.

Angie is such a busy woman, no wonder she can’t gain weight. 4 days summit, then father’s day, then June 23 Maleficent Japan premiere, then pre-production of Brangelina new movie, I read they will film it in August. Where does she have so much energy? She is a superwoman.

Jimmy Fallon is on the cover of People with his daughter Winny she is dressed in a suit/tie..

now let’s see if the trolls scream Jimmy is trying to turn his daughter gay or such.. They flipped out over Shiloh wearing a t-shirt. but you know the Trolls are on Angie setting only.

Rose the problem with the Troll is that no matter what name he/she/It choses to post under it still is filled with utter filth, which always exposes this he/she/It of its true nature. Trolls are a running joke like their idol Aniston is,

Rose, I bet Ticky is pulling Huvana’s hair out since yesterday for a Photo Op or ANY type of news to remain relevant, after all she has made vows she will not be forgotten or in other words she likes to Stalk the JP’s no matter at what cost. Good Morning Busted
.
Sorry to but in to your conversation I love the pants too and like the color as well. In regards to your comment of “Angie’s nervousness” I agree with you too , considering it was the first major event to be held of this kind, it had the added pressure and uncertainty how this will be perceived by the media, but first and foremost especially by the victims, their families, the organizations/Charities that are representing them. Their scrutiny would have been the make or break of this Summit , now If this wasn’t pressure then what is. Since yesterday seeing and hearing the warm reception both Angelina & MR Hague have received, its so heartwarming to see and hear especially from those who are effected in one way or form. I know they still have a long way to go, but they are being given the backup of all these people. Of course the added pressure of the” First day, First Speech” is out of the way f no wonder Angie looks a bit relaxed today.

@Phool.: Hi Phool, just noticed you left me two comments on the previous page. I only saw one before. Will talk later.

@ Susan, hi Susan, I’m so very proud of Angelina. We know this will be a long process before any change is noticed. The most important thing is, the process has started and one day being a rapist without consequences will be a thing of the past.

I see someone believes there is trouble in. Paradise, wink, wink, Tamshitt. I guess. That’s why Brad and Angelina are scouting out places
to work together again, after 10 years because they are in trouble.

Press release
.
William Hague and Angelina Jolie demand end to impunity for warzone rape
.
The Foreign Secretary William Hague and Special Envoy Angelina Jolie launch Protocol to increase prosecutions for sexual violence in conflict.
.
The overwhelming majority of perpetrators of sexual violence in conflict are not held to account for the crimes they commit. This has led to a global culture of impunity for warzone rape.
.
The new International Protocol, the first of its kind, aims to set an international standard for how to investigate and document sexual violence, as a way of increasing the number of prosecutions for these crimes worldwide and ensuring that victims are cared for.
.
Mr Hague and Ms Jolie are calling for governments to announce their support for the Protocol, and pledge to implement it in full. They want it to become a turning point in how crimes of sexual violence in conflict are investigated, and ultimately deterred.
.
William Hague said:
.
This Protocol is the first of its kind, and we hope it will play a vital role in shattering the culture of impunity for sexual violence in conflict.
.
This impunity is a major factor in why these crimes continue.
.
Up to 50,000 women were victims of sexual violence during the war in Bosnia, but only just over sixty people have been successfully prosecuted for it.
.
From Central African Republic to Sudan to Syria, untold thousands of rapes have gone entirely unpunished.
.
We know that one of the primary reasons for the lack of prosecutions for sexual violence in conflict is the difficulty of gathering evidence that can stand up in court, and the trauma and the stigma faced by survivors in the process.
.
This Protocol is designed to overcome those fundamental barriers.
.
And we are determined to ensure that prosecutors, police forces, peacekeepers and civil society on the front line in this struggle know how best to document and investigate sexual violence in conflict so that perpetrators can be successfully prosecuted.

As usual, Angie shines and what she is doing is SO IMPORTANT..  when you see POVs expressed like the one “intellectual” George Will did in his recent piece about r*ape victims in college (Will took a novel approach, arguing instead that colleges have made “victimhood a coveted status that confers privileges” and therefore “victims proliferate.” )- ugh…I wonder if he has any daughters/nieces/friends?
-

Here is good a comment from Will’s original article, which is embedded link in the daily beast link below.

Wow. More incredible T*liban rantings from the Legitimate R*pe party.  It’s not enough for George Will to be fired (as practically the whole world is calling for today). The modern West really needs to ship the entire Spanky and Our Gang “He Man Wimen Hater’s Klub” GOP over to Afghanistan, so they can finally be reunited with their ideological soul mates. They are simply not fit anymore to live in the liberal modern West. They’re simply “not the right century”.  Get lost George. Get lost, T*liban.

Just saying @ 06/11/2014 at 10:56 am

Just think about it that the new Brad&Angie movie comes together so quick. In May, at Maleficent London premier, Angie said they were thinking about working together. In New York, Angie said she had a few meetings about her next director movie that I think she was referring to this movie. In LA, she confirmed to Jerry P of ExtraTV the movie. In China, she said her next movie would be with Brad. Now they were scouting locations for the movie, just in one month. Amazing.

@Phool.: Phool, the Chew is a cooking show. It’s really good. Phool, you need to get a job where you can watch tv during the day, lol. :-). Don’t ask me the names of the panel, I know Carla, Mario Batali ?, Dr Oz’s daughter and two other men.

Phool, Ticky is over, not even her fans care about her. There are a few people on the net talking about her but you can tell is just a few because we always read the same comments everywhere, eg why is Angie so thin, why can’t she put on weight, she stole poor Brad because he don’t know his way back to her although he wants to go back, NOT. Why is Angie dressing Shi like a boy, why is Angie always wearing black, why don’t they do something with ZZ’s hair, why is Brad always dressed the
same clothing, why font Brad take a shower, (I guess they never saw tacky in those dirty jeans and stinking booths, his words), why not Angie wear a bra, she’s a home wrecker, although Ticky was seen with Vince Vaughn humping him on the hotel balcony long before brad and Angie was seen together as a couple. Phool, it never ends, trolls are psychopaths, sociopaths, stalking losers with S A D I S T tendency. I gotta go my friend.

Angelina Jolie moved to tears on second day of the ‘End Sexual Violence in Conflict’ summit and embraces campaigner whose daughter was attacked by gang
====================================
• The summit is the largest ever held on subject of sexual violence in war
• Actress welled up as she heard victims about their experiences
• Embraced campaigner Neema Namadamu
• Namadamu began campaigning when her 25-year-old daughter was attacked by a group of men metres from her own home in the Congo

.
Angelina Jolie today appeared visibly moved and close to tears at the ‘End Sexual Violence in Conflict’ summit in London, which she is co-hosting conference with Foreign Secretary William Hague. The summit is the largest ever held on subject of sexual violence in war.
.
The actress’ eyes welled up as she listened to victims of sexual assault speak about their experiences and spent time with them afterwards, discussing the issues they face and embracing one delegate.
.
Clutching fellow activist and peacemaker Neema Namadamu on this, the fourth day of the summit, the actress struggled to contain her emotions.
Neema is an advocate for change in Congo, and founder of the Maman Shujaa-the ‘Hero Women of the Congo’ who fight for the rights of women. She who was struck down with polio at age 2, and became the first disabled woman to graduate from Congo’s national university.
.
She began campaigning when her 25-year-old daughter was attacked by a group of men metres from her own home in the Congo.
Angelina, Special Envoy of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, also embraced other delegates who spoke at the event.
.
The summit has seen diplomats, officials and non-profit representatives from more than 100 countries gathered to press for the rights of victims — women, men and children alike. With the cameras of the world focused on her, Jolie said she wanted to dedicated the conference to a rape victim she and Hague recently met in Bosnia.
‘She felt that having had no justice for her particular crime, in her particular situation, and having seen the actual man who raped her on the streets free, she really felt abandoned by the world,’ Jolie said.
‘This day is for her.’
.
Angelina was also interviewed on BBC Radio 4’s Women’s Hour this morning, talking about how she came to be involved in working to end sexual violence.
‘I’ve met survivors and spent time with them. I’d heard their stories and became very emotionally involved and I thought – what can I possibly do to help,’ she said.
The programme also shared the harrowing tales of two women who suffered sexual violence during conflict.
On women described her attack during the Rwanda genocide in these words: ‘I didn’t see their faces, I don’t know them, how can you see someone who is hitting you in the eyes? How will you know someone who is inserting a gun barrel into your mouth, and then between your legs? Then he leaves, and another one enters.’
.
Another woman spoke of her attack in Minova in the Democratic Republic of Congo: ‘The man said that he wanted to rape me, that if I refused he is going to kill me. Then another five men came. They all raped me. My daughter keeps asking me about her dad. When I try to reveal who her father is, it is really hard for me.
‘I fear also telling her because a lot of men raped me… it is really hard for me to tell my daughter.
‘I just feel really depressed, when I think of it I burst into tears. I feel like I am nothing. Sometimes I even feel like dying .’
.
A rape survivor who attended the conference today, Wangu Kanja, from Kenya, who has set up her own organization to help others, said she hoped the summit will send a message that governments cannot continue to ignore the issue.
‘I’m really hoping that from this the Kenyan government will be forced to do something,” she said hours after the summit began.
.
William Hague compared sexual violence in war zones to slavery as an injustice that demands action.
‘As was said with slavery in the 18th century, now we know the facts, we cannot turn aside,’ he said.
.
Others far afield also offered support. Pope Francis, who has made combatting sex trafficking and human slavery one of his priorities, sent a tweet on Tuesday in support of the summit’s work, saying ‘Let us pray for all victims of sexual violence in conflict, and those working to end this crime.’
.
Hague and Jolie are set to launch a guidance document on best practices today to help strengthen prosecutions for rape in conflicts. Hague will also host a meeting Thursday on tackling Boko Haram, the Islamic terror group that abducted more than 300 schoolgirls and young women in Nigeria in April.
.
The pair have campaigned hard on the issue of sexual violence for two years, and on Tuesday they were welcomed with cheers from others fighting for the cause as they toured a lively fringe program featuring photo exhibitions, poetry readings, and artists performing skits.
.
Nigerian rap and soul singers sang about rape and other problems facing young Africans, while volunteers taught Swahili folk songs in workshops similar to those performed in conflict zones to help reduce trauma. An eclectic group of charity workers and computer experts brainstormed on ways to use technology to improve reporting on sexual violence

Bringing Women to the Table to Address Sexual Violence
===================================
.
By MARY ROBINSON June 11, 2014 11:53 am

.
In war zones, rape is a weapon. We cannot claim to be serious about stopping war crimes if we do nothing to prevent and punish these heinous acts – and if women are not part of the solution every step of the way.
.
Thanks to the rallying efforts of William Hague and Angelina Jolie, dozens of foreign ministers and legions of advocacy groups are gathering in London this week to grapple with a global response to sexual violence in conflict. This is an unprecedented show of ambition; governments have not given these crimes the necessary attention in the past.
.
Now the blind spot will be uncovered: women – and men, too – are at risk of sexual abuse wherever gunfire rattles and militias roam. Like other forms of violence, sexual violence shatters people, families, and livelihoods. It leaves behind a legacy of trauma, making it more likely that the next generation will continue fighting, killing, and allow sexual violence to fester.
.
A history of modern warfare reveals sexual abuse at almost every turn: according to the United Nations, up to 250,000 Rwandan women were sexually assaulted in three months of genocide in 1994. In Yugoslavia, 60,000 women were abused between 1992 and 1995. Sierra Leone and Liberia jointly witnessed up to a hundred thousand cases over the course of a decade in the 1990s.
.
These days, the Democratic Republic of Congo makes headlines with reports of rape on an alarming scale, much of which is connected to the conflict in the eastern regions. The UN reports more than 200,000 cases of rape in the country since 1998. In April this year, a detailed report by the UN human rights office in Congo provided evidence based on over 3,600 cases in the past three years – a conservative figure based on registered cases only. The oldest victim was 80 years old. The youngest was two.

.
As UN special envoy to the Great Lakes region, I travel to Congo frequently. When I address the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict in London this week, I will speak up for the women I meet in Bukavu, Goma and Kinshasa. I will remind delegates that the women of Congo are not victims first and foremost. Above all, they are leaders. They hold their communities together. They are the region’s best hope for peace.
.
Former President Jimmy Carter is my colleague within a group of independent leaders called the Elders, founded by Nelson Mandela. He has recently written a visionary book arguing that women’s discrimination is the most pervasive human rights violation in the world, perpetuated and preserved by men in ascendant positions everywhere.
.
Sexual violence highlights that very injustice in peace negotiations, historically the preserve of male elites. There is no question that women suffer hugely. So why is their experience of war not deemed equal to men’s at the negotiating table, when the blueprints for peace are being drawn?
.
Moreover, in volatile settings, like eastern Congo, where the state has broken down and a security vacuum sets in, women are the ones who lead and organize the community while the men are swept up in conflict. We have seen women leaders heal divisions in Northern Ireland and Liberia, but the lessons from these successes have not significantly changed our thinking worldwide.
.
The people of Congo are used to hollow peace agreements – “bad men forgiving bad men in front of cameras,” as the saying goes – only for the pomp and promise to fade away at the next round of gunfire. We need a different approach, one that includes the society as a whole, with a due role given to women. As Genevieve Inagosi, the Congo government’s Minister of Gender puts it: “Women do not only have the solutions. They are the solutions.”
.
Mindsets are evolving. The United Nations Security Council has passed several resolutions recognizing the need to include women in peace processes. We need to push the agenda further at every opportunity.
.
One reason I am hopeful is that, after this week’s summit, millions of silent victims, most of whom are women, will know there are actions they can take to defend their dignity. The top priorities at the meeting are to improve the documentation and investigation of crimes, and to provide better support networks for survivors.
.
The greater aspiration is that societies in conflict will know that these war crimes will not go unpunished and that transitional justice can be made available to deal with these abuses swiftly. The stigma will shift from the victims to the criminals. If rape is no longer deemed a warrior’s accepted privilege, we will be one step closer to peace.

According to Australian director David Michôd, he and Brad met together when Brad was visiting Angie in Australia, they had a long meeting about The Operators movie, they were getting along very well. That’s why later it was announced David Michôd was the writer and director for The Operators. Both Brad and Angie are great at time and schedule management.

Magnificent Maleficent
===============
.
11-Jun-2014
.
Fifty-five years ago, the character Maleficent placed a spell on the young Sleeping Beauty in the animated feature released by Disney in 1959. Now, this popular villain has taken human form, stepping out of the traditionally animated cel and onto the live-action set infused with state-of-the-art CGI in this classic story as Disney once again brings this fantastic tale to the big screen.
.
In “Maleficent,” the story focus is on the title character rather than the sleeping princess Aurora, as was the case in the original animated film.
“This movie is about a character we’ve only known as hard-hearted, and our story answers the question, ‘Why?’ I’d like audiences to feel like they’ve entered a world they’ve never seen before with ‘Maleficent,’ and I hope they come away feeling like no one is beyond redemption,” says producer Joe Roth.
.
“Maleficent” explores the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the classic “Sleeping Beauty,” and the elements of her betrayal that ultimately turn her pure heart to stone. Driven by revenge and a fierce desire to protect the moors over which she presides, Maleficent cruelly places an irrevocable curse upon the human king’s newborn infant Aurora. As she grows, Aurora is caught in the middle of the seething conflict between the forest kingdom she has grown to love and the human kingdom that holds her legacy. Maleficent realizes that Aurora may hold the key to peace in the land and is forced to take drastic actions that will change both worlds forever.
The movie is directed by Robert Stromberg.
.

Historical Perspective
————————
The character Maleficent was a Disney creation introduced in the 1959 animated movie “Sleeping Beauty,” but the story of the princess who falls under a spell of eternal sleep has been told for many years – at least four hundred years, under various titles, and maybe even longer still. The Brothers Grimm even borrowed heavily from a 1697 version of the story by Charles Perrault. Throughout its long history, the elements of the story have changed, with the only consistent one being the spinning wheel, which has caused all the princesses of this tale to fall into a deep slumber.
.
Maleficent had been portrayed as a jealous, vengeful villainess married to the king, and as a wicked fairy in the version by Perrault. The latter is the course Disney chose for the 2014 movie. Yet, it was important to Stromberg to have enough elements of the Disney animated “Sleeping Beauty” so people would not be disappointed.
.
“It was important that those people who recognize and are fans of the original classic film feel that they cannot only see it realized in a new light, but also see the genesis of some of those things they saw in the original film,” he explains. “So, it’s a new spin on Maleficent, but at the same time, we’ve woven in enough elements that people will immediately recognize to be from the original film.”
.
Writer Linda Moolverton came up with a past for the character that leads up to the moment when she curses the baby Aurora. “It’s a reinvention; it’s not just a retelling of the same story,” she says.

Visual Magic
—————
“Maleficent” began production on June 11, 2012, at England’s Pinewood Studios, where most of the filming took place. It required five months of shooting on six soundstages and thousands of yards of back lot and paddock area to complete principal photography.
.
The production used a number of extraordinary physical sets, both interior and exterior. In all, there are about 40 sets, from a 12-foot-square room to the 5,000-square-foot Great Hall. “They’re complicated sets architecturally and technically,” says production designer Gary Freeman.
.
But the “real” sets had limitations. So, a plethora of digital backgrounds – and characters – were made. Performance capture was used to create the CG versions of the pixies when they are small. (See “Tricky Pixies” in the May/June 2014 issue of CGW.) Another digital challenge was the creation of Maleficent’s wings (also detailed in that story).
.

The shape-changing Diaval was also a challenge for the VFX team. Originally just a raven in the animated film, he is transformed in the latest movie into any animal Maleficent wishes. “Those transformations made creating this character very difficult for us, especially because you see different transformations throughout the film. You want every one of those transformations to not be exactly the same, so what we tried to do is have whatever’s happening in that scene, his body motion or the body of the raven as it’s flying through the shot, help motivate some of this transformation,” says Cary Villegas, senior visual effects supervisor.
.
Villegas incorporated birdlike elements into the Diaval character when he transformed. “We tried to incorporate the feathers in some way in each of the forms that he took,” he says. “For the wolf, we took the feet of the raven and transferred them onto the wolf. But the feet of the raven are so delicate that it was quite a challenge to make those delicate structures fit into a creature as large as the wolf.”
.
The artists also had to bring all the fairy creatures that inhabited Maleficent’s fairy kingdom to life, from the pixies to the moorland fairy creatures. “We had to create every facet of those characters, like how their hair responds to gravity or to wind, and adjust every little nuance of what their skin looks like ,or the fur or the clothing that they may be wearing,” says Villegas.
.
In all, bringing the characters, architecture, and scenery from an animation to reality, albeit one augmented by CGI, was a daunting task. But a successful one at that, judging by the box-office numbers the movie is generating. It’s a perfect example of revamping a classic concept into one for a modern generation.

Remarks from the Foreign Secretary and Special Envoy Angelina Jolie at the launch of the International Protocol.
===========================================================================
.
Published 11 June 2014
.

Remarks from Foreign Secretary William Hague
———————————————————————————
Ladies and Gentleman, good afternoon and welcome to the launch of the International Protocol on the Documentation and Investigation of Sexual Violence in Conflict, something I believe will be an extremely important document in the world.
.
This Protocol is the first of its kind, and we hope it will play a vital role in shattering the culture of impunity for sexual violence in conflict.
This impunity is a major factor in why these crimes continue.
.
Up to 50,000 women were victims of sexual violence during the war in Bosnia, but only just over sixty people have been successfully prosecuted for it.
This Protocol is designed to overcome those fundamental barriers.
.
And we are determined to ensure that prosecutors, police forces, peacekeepers and civil society on the front line in this struggle know how best to document and investigate sexual violence in conflict so that perpetrators can be successfully prosecuted.
This Protocol sets out in detail how to interview survivors and witnesses, how to secure physical evidence, how to work with medics and lawyers so that survivors can be confident that the facts are on their side.
.
It shows how to protect survivors and to support them at every stage so that they don’t suffer more trauma or risk being attacked for courageously taking a stand.
It has been written to help all those who might be involved in documenting and investigating sexual violence in conflict, from community activists to heads of police to international organisations who work in conflict-affected areas.
.
It contains the distilled wisdom of more than 200 renowned experts, investigators, survivors and organisations, representing years of accumulated experience and expertise.
We want it to be a reference point, setting standards for governments, for international organisations and civil society across the world.
.
If all countries applied these standards then it will greatly strengthen prosecutions for rape in conflict and help to secure a dramatic increase in successful convictions.
That is why as the United Kingdom our focus will be on the implementation of this Protocol. We will be translating it into multiple languages, we will be disseminating it worldwide through our huge diplomatic network, and in partnership with international institutions we will be supporting those organisations and activists putting it to use where it is needed most, in places affected by conflict and instability.
.
We will ask all the governments and organisations represented at this Summit to join this effort – to consider how they can use it in their countries, in their training for police or peacekeepers, in their work with civil society and in development programmes overseas, and we will do everything we can across the world to support them.
.
Of course, the strongest evidence in the world will not bring justice if prosecutors are not prepared to prosecute, or if police allow perpetrators to walk free. The courage of survivors and activists must now be matched by the determination of governments.
.
That is why this Summit aims to galvanise the international community into action, and it’s why the United Kingdom will do its utmost to ensure the momentum that we build here is harnessed and accelerated in the future.
Ultimately, however, it is the patient and tireless efforts of people on the ground in conflict-affected states that will tip the balance against impunity. It is their investigations that will bring perpetrators to justice one by one and send the message that warzone sexual violence will not go unpunished. It is their work that will deter armed men from ordering or committing rape in future wars.
So this Protocol is for them, it is for many of you in this room, and I hope it will be a crucial support to all of you across the world.
.
Remarks from the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Special Envoy Angelina Jolie
————————————————————————————————————————————————————
I have met survivors of warzone rape around the world. And almost without exception they ask for one thing – justice: The right to be accepted, not shunned, by society.
.
The right to long-term economic and health support. And above all, the right to see their attackers held accountable in a court of law – because warzone rape is not a lesser crime, it is a crime against humanity.
.
Today, these rights are denied to millions of survivors around the world. The number of convictions for warzone sexual rape is pitifully small.
.
People who rape innocent women, men and children during conflict assume that they will simply get away with it, because they have. The few cases that are brought forward are often thrown out for lack of evidence, despite the testimonies from brave survivors.
.
This is an intolerable situation.
That is why, at the heart of this campaign, we are calling for an end to impunity:
Perpetrators have to know that even during conflict, evidence is being collected that will be used against them.
.
They have to know that when peace agreements are made, there will be no amnesty for rape and that if they commit these crimes, they will bear the stigma and punishment – no matter how long it takes.
.
We all know how hard it is to secure convictions for rape even in stable democratic countries. So we have to work even harder to make justice possible in fragile countries. And that is the purpose of this Protocol.
.
It is an essential document, and I am so grateful to the hundreds of experts and survivors who have played their part in drafting it. The Foreign Secretary and I are determined to work hard to ensure that it is implemented.
.
And we will be asking all the governments coming to the Summit tomorrow to adopt the Protocol and back it fully.
.
As a part of the next stage of our campaign, we will follow-up on how it’s implemented and what more still needs to be done.
.
I hope that by all of us working together, we can support survivors for the long but not impossible road to justice and finally, really, truly end impunity.
.
Thank you very much.

Sarah Sands: Wars are bad enough without the evil of rape
========================================
.
Updated: 12:23, 10 June 2014
.
There are many violent scenes in In the Land of Blood of Honey, Angelina Jolie’s film about Serb atrocities during the 1992-1995 Bosnian war. The moment a Red Cross vehicle is blown up is pitiless. But it is the rape scene which is particularly shocking, because it is so careless and matter of fact. The Serb soldiers do not even give the women the respect of the enemy. They barely glance at them.
.
The act of rape in war zones has been of little consequence to anyone except the women. The shame, curiously, has been borne by them and perhaps even more so by male victims who are destroyed in more complex ways. At the ExCeL Centre in Docklands this week, survivors are telling their stories, and while the catastrophe is personal the consequences are common.
.
Women who are raped are very often rejected by husbands and families. Communities are felled. The destruction of these fragile and benign social institutions can keep nations in a permanent state of revenge and conflict.
.
It is only about the women and it is all about the women. Last year, I went on a trip with Jolie and the Foreign Secretary William Hague to the Democratic Republic of Congo. To look at the impact of war from the view of women was unfamiliar and illuminating. This is the effect of Jolie as a film-maker too. As in Kathryn Bigelow’s Oscar-winning The Hurt Locker, the adrenaline of war is not taken for granted. Neither are the consequences.
.
On my return from the trip I was asked by a female television presenter if women’s issues were a distraction for the Foreign Secretary from the greater affairs at stake. It is because it is a crime predominantly against women that it has never been a priority before. World opinion officially is unconditionally against torture. Attitudes to rape are more ambivalent. As the Indian politician Babulal Gaur said recently: “Sometimes sexual assaults are right and sometimes they are wrong.” It is affecting to see a coalition of countries, including Congo, agreeing that mitigation is abhorrent.
.
Of course it may look irrelevant to send lawyers into bombed-out areas of Syria or Liberia to pursue cases against attacks on women. When civilisation has broken down, what is the point of concentrating on one example of it?
.
You have to start somewhere. Jolie said of In the Land of Blood and Honey that she saw in it some hope. The moment the Serb soldier treats a female prisoner with restraint and later tenderness represents his remaining spark of humanity. People are resilient, even, sometimes especially, the victims of war. International standards on rape will help the recovery of conflict zones. Campaign in public, legislate in prose. But for men’s sake as well as for women, let’s put war rape beyond the pale.

Jolie has ‘strong record’ on refugees
============================
.

10 Jun 2014 – 1:07 PM UPDATED 10 Jun 2014 – 1:48 PM

.
.
Angelina Jolie may be one of the world’s most famous stars but she has got “credential as well as celebrity”, according to a senior director at a children’s charity. Hollywood A-lister Angelina Jolie has a “strong record” standing up for refugees and the summit on rape in war was triggered by her directorial debut.
.
The Special Envoy for the UN Commissioner for Refugees and star of action adventure film Lara Croft: Tomb Raider has a “strong track record of knowing what she’s talking about”.
.
Jolie’s interest in humanitarian affairs was piqued in 2000 when she went to Cambodia to film Tomb Raider, according to The UN Refugee Agency website.
.
She was named a Goodwill Ambassador in 2001 by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
.
In 2012, High Commissioner Antonio Guterres appointed Jolie as his Special Envoy.
.
Anita Tiessen, deputy executive director of children’s charity Unicef UK, said that while she brings her fame to the summit she also brings experience.
.
Tiessen talked about the impact of the 2011 film written and directed by Jolie called In the Land of Blood and Honey, which is set during the Bosnian war.
.
“I think Angelina herself has shown a big commitment to the issue over the last 10 years that she’s been an envoy for the issue.
.
“So, yes, she clearly brings her fame to the issue and so that attracts a lot of media. But I think she’s got a strong track record of knowing what she’s talking about, of really taking action.
.
“I was recently in a meeting and the film that she did about rape and abuse during the Bosnian conflict, I heard somebody say very, very powerfully that what that’s done is that it’s made it possible for people in Bosnia to talk about things that they’ve been keeping inside for a long, long time, so I think she’s got credential as well as celebrity,” she said.
.
Tiessen said she believes the summit is going to be “hugely significant”, and said there has been a build-up of about 18 months of work led by Foreign Secretary William Hague.
.
She also said she thinks the week “will be very, very emotionally charged”.
.
“I’ve heard children talk about how they’ve been sexually abused, or how they’ve been threatened with sexual abuse, and clearly it’s a very, very … it cuts close to the bone.”

What the trolls post is never-ending libel, slander and complete insanity from people who clearly should be in an asylum somewhere but somehow slipped through the cracks. Lying day in and day out about Brad and Angelina, threatening them and their children and wishing heinous things to happen to them?! I’m nobody here, I’ve just recently started lurking again and I lurk a bit more than I comment, but I would much rather read Phool’s news articles than the troll’s continuous insanity. Angelina ‘a pleasure to work with’
================================
.
6:03pm Wednesday 11th June 2014
.
Angelina Jolie has been praised by William Hague
.
Angelina Jolie is “a pleasure to work with”, Foreign Secretary William Hague has said.
.
Mr Hague said the Hollywood star is able to reach people that governments can not, and praised her for her “passion”.
.
He and Angelina are co-chairing the global summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict (ESVC), and have launched an international protocol which they hope will “really, truly end impunity”.
.
Speaking about the Maleficent actress, who is special envoy for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Mr Hague said: “She’s great to work with because she is very professional, very knowledgeable, full of ideas.
.
“We’re used to working together now of course because we’ve made a number of international visits together and co-founded the preventing sexual violence initiative.
“And she brings what governments can’t. I’ve always said you need a big government of the world to be involved in this, which was a missing ingredient in all the previous work by the UN and NGOs on sexual violence.”
.
He added: “But you need something much more than government, you need to be able to reach people who don’t easily listen to governments, and Angelina really brings that, as well as bringing great knowledge and passion about these issues.
.
.
“So I find her a pleasure to work with.”
.
The protocol – primarily a document outlining basic standards of best practice – offers guidance for those on the frontline who document sexual violence as an international crime.
.
It sets out how to recognise sexual violence as an international crime and how to investigate and document it. It also sets out how to protect victims, witnesses, interviews and information on sexual violence.
.
At the launch Angelina said she has met survivors of war zone rape all around the world and they all ask for one thing – “Justice”.
.
The star said war zone rape is a “crime against humanity” and said the rights of survivors – to be accepted by society, to be supported, and to see their attackers held accountable before the law – are denied to millions of people around the world.
.
“The number of convictions for warzone sexual rape is pitifully small,” she said.
Angelina said at the heart of her and Mr Hague’s campaign they are calling for an end to impunity.
.
“Perpetrators have to know that even during conflict, evidence is being collected and it will be used against them. They have to know that when peace agreements are made there will be no amnesty for rape,” she said.
.
The actress added: “We all know how hard it is to secure convictions for rape even in stable democratic countries so we have to work even harder to make justice possible in fragile countries. And that is the purpose of this protocol. It is an essential document.”
.
She said she is “so grateful” to the hundreds of experts and survivors who played their part in drafting the protocol.
Angelina said she and Mr Hague are “determined” to work to ensure that it is implemented and said they will be asking all the governments coming to the summit tomorrow to adopt the protocol.
.
The actress ended her speech by saying: “I hope that by all of us working together we can support survivors for the long, but not impossible, road to justice. And finally, really, truly end impunity.”

I am woman: Angelina Jolie
====================
.
June 2, 2014 / Filed under: Cambodia, Culture & Life, People / By: Elizabeth Hargest-Kemp
.
Angelina Jolie’s life changed forever in 2000, when Cambodia captured her heart and never let it go. The former wildchild’s love affair with the Kingdom resulted in her first child and here she discusses the family life that blossomed thereafter
.
Even Tomb Raider’s biggest fans would be hard pushed to describe Lara Croft’s big-screen debut as life changing. But for Angelina Jolie, the Cambodia-shot blockbuster not only made her the biggest name in Hollywood, it also changed her perspective on life. “It opened my eyes,” she says.

.
Before visiting the Kingdom for the first time in 2000, she was Tinseltown’s wild child – insatiable and self-destructive, unashamedly hedonistic. To interviewers, she’d confess tales of debauchery but hinted at underlying melancholy. She was a candid and exciting interviewee who once. Now, she’s a special envoy and former goodwill ambassador for the United Nations, a passionate supporter of humanitarian aid, a mother of six and, with Brad Pitt, one half of the world’s most famous couple and portmanteau.
.
She’s also a calmer presence nowadays, and at 38, still striking in appearance, with almost ethereal good looks. Today, as we sit together, she chats openly and enthusiastically about life, her career and her children.
.
Her daughter, Vivienne, has a part in her latest film, Maleficent – a Disney blockbuster in which Jolie plays an icy queen – and her eyes light up when she talks about her.
.
“She plays Princess Aurora as a young girl,” says Jolie with a smile. “She had so much fun being on the set. Vivienne [who is five] was the only child on the set who wasn’t frightened of me in the outfit and horns I wear. I guess she knows that it’s mommy and not some scary character!”

.

She lets out a small laugh before continuing, telling me about the joy of watching her children grow up.
.
“It’s so beautiful to see how they look at the world and experience so many things for the first time. Children have this incredible way of seeing things and they make you see things differently too. They just have to smile and laugh and you feel overwhelmed by their ability to enjoy things in such a pure and uncomplicated way.
.
“However, Brad and I don’t want to make a habit of having our children work on our films. We want them to study hard and have as normal a life as we can give them. We would rather they learn everything they can about the world before getting involved in our profession. When they’re older they can make that decision.”
.
Vivienne and her twin brother Knox are the youngest of six. Angelina gave birth to a daughter, Shiloh, in 2006, who joined three adopted children, Zahara (nine), Pax (ten) and Maddox (12).
.
It was Cambodia that awoke this maternal instinct. She adopted Maddox in 2002 after returning to the country, which she describes as the “most beautiful in the world”, for the third time. In early 2006, Pitt also adopted Maddox, and the pair went on to adopt Pax in Vietnam and Zahara in Ethiopia.
.
What started out as a throwaway action-adventure shoot in Cambodia became a soul-searching and fact-finding mission for the LA-born star.
After filming, she contacted the UN’s High Commissioner to request more information about humanitarian action for refugees and, in February 2001, went on her first field visit – an 18-day mission to Sierra Leone and Tanzania.
.
After her 2002 visit to Cambodia, she purchased a sprawling area of land in the northwestern province of Battambang, an area rich in wildlife but plagued by poachers, and turned it into a nature reserve. In response, King Norodom Sihamoni awarded her Cambodian citizenship in 2005.
.
Jolie has refused to observe from a distance; her humanitarian work has seen her travel to more than 30 countries. On a trip to Afghanistan, she reportedly wrote a farewell letter to Brad Pitt after being warned she was a target for attack. The UN bunker was bombed two weeks later – everyone inside was killed.
.
Jolie and Pitt have used their fame to promote charity in a number of ways. The couple decided to sell the first pictures of daughter Shiloh themselves, through the distributor Getty. People paid a reported $4.1m for the US rights, while Hello! paid a reported $3.5m for the British rights. All profits were donated to charities serving African children.
.
“We don’t allow press intrusion to interfere with the way we live,” Jolie tells me. “I’m happy to have the recognition that enables me to promote humanitarian causes and work for the United Nations for children. So I’ve never seen all the media focus as a real obstacle to what I do.
“I have a big, wonderful family and I get to travel and be creative with my films and that’s tremendously rewarding and satisfying. I’ve always loved being an actor and having the opportunity to tell stories and express emotions and make a connection with audiences.”
.
She describes motherhood as one of the “great surprises” in her life. “When I was younger I never imagined being a mother and then those maternal feelings really evolved and deepened once I began adopting and started living with Brad, which made me want to have children of our own,” she says.
.
“My children give me a sense of peace and fulfilment when I see how happy and healthy they are. I feel truly at ease when I know I’ve helped give them a safe and hopeful life. A big family can generate a lot of chaos, but it’s also a source of inner peace. At the end of the day it’s the best feeling in the world.”
.
Her film career is still going strong, with a recent move into directing winning her many plaudits – the Guardian called her debut, In the Land of Blood and Honey, “powerful and undeniably gripping” – but you sense motherhood takes precedence.
.
Does she feel she has a greater serenity since becoming a mother? “It’s changed me in so many ways and I try to treat the children the way my own mother treated me. She was so caring and giving that I don’t know if I can ever live up to her standard. My mother set a very good example for me to follow,” she says.
.
“I still get very emotional when I watch Brad play with the children and how they all admire him and love him so much… It’s such a beautiful and sexy quality in a man when he takes his responsibilities as a father very seriously and has so much love to give the children.”
.
As far as Maddox is concerned, he is a 12-year-old who seems relatively comfortable with being thrust into the A-list scene, despite his parents’ efforts to keep him and his siblings removed.
.
“We’ve always wanted our kids to be grounded, and they know everything they can about where they were born. Maddox amazes and enchants me every day and has changed our lives completely.”
.
Despite actions that seem altruistic to many, Jolie has not avoided criticism over her multiple adoptions. Yet speaking to her in person, it seems undeniable that she cares deeply about her humanitarian work and takes great pride in providing a loving home to all of her children. Currently, ‘home’ exists in two places simultaneously, with the family splitting their time between Los Angeles and Provence, France, where they own the Château Miraval, famed for its rosé wine.
.
“Europe offers a different kind of lifestyle for us,” she says. “We don’t feel as stressed over there and we’ve grown used to taking long lunches and late dinners, which we can’t really have in the US. Over in France we can live more freely and openly and do things like walking and exploring cities or small towns. We feel more relaxed.
.
“In terms of schooling it’s been more practical for us to stay in LA. The kids are happy wherever they are and we just try to make sure that nothing interferes with that.”
.
Whether it’s trying to avoid the media glare in LA, or enjoying the simpler things in Provence, many would agree that two of the most famous people on the planet are doing a pretty good job of raising their brood. A brood that began more than a decade ago with a trip to a small Southeast Asian Kingdom that has left a very big impression.

Jennifer Aniston’s Latest Film Project Is A Dud? Movie To Go Straight To Video On Demand With Limited Theater Engagement!
=========================================
.
Well, this doesn’t sound good, but if you’re all itching to see Jennifer Aniston’s latest flick, Life of Crime, you’re in luck!
The dark comedy is set to be released to a limited amount of theaters in August 29th and straight onto video on demand!
.
Seeing as how Life of Crime is an indie film and it doesn’t have a huge back up like Jen’s last movie, We’re the Millers, it makes sense for the film to go out on VOD and to a limited number of theaters.
Even the star power of Jen and Isla Fisher couldn’t help the film!
But who knows! It does have potential to be a big hit!
What do U think??
Ch-ch-check out the trailer (below)!

I loooooooooooove Angie in executive wear. She has such distinctive style for all the different roles she has the quintessential 21st Century woman:
.
RC Wear for all those premieres and photo calls for her and Brad’s movies;
Mommy Wear when she’s out with her kids (she said back in 2006 that she made the decision to eliminate jeans from her mommy-wear wardrobe as she knew she would practically live in them if she didnt make a conscious effort to create a distinct wardrobe for doing her mommy things);
Casual Chic for all those in-between activities (meetings with fellow professionals about work, etc);
Executive Wear for all her formal UN activities;
And Fieldwork Wear for her UN field work (this would be like the gear that technical and other hands-on professionals (engineers/construction workers/lab techs/etc) need for their work.

”This guy is one of Squiggy’s cousins”
“some writer guy kin to Squiggy that nobody’s ever heard of…”
In the literary circle, believe it or not, the Theroux family is well known in HW and NYC for their writing. I have a friend in the Writers Guild who immediately knew of and was impressed by the Theroux name (not necessarily by JT). Paul Theroux is JT’s Uncle who is a noted travel writer and novelist, his other two Uncles, Peter who went to Harvard was a well known journalist for the WSJ and Louis who is a published poet and novelist having been awarded the Lannan Literary Award for Fiction in 1991 and the Clifton Fadiman Medal for Fiction in , another uncle Joseph is a known novelist …JT is the least known and now known only for his association with JA. It’s always been a query why JT with such an honorable family background in the literary world IMO would become so involved with an insipid babbler…to be fair and giving the benefit of the doubt, I guess it’s possible it’s “love”…or it’s the only way he figures he can get and did get immediate “celebrity notoriety” by associating with her, his “reputation” can only go downhill every time she opens her mouth especially if his goal is to be considered an “intellectual” like members within his family, however on the other side, his ego will only getter better by being around someone not at his perceived intellectual level when he may be the most unaccomplished of his more well known writing family aka JT also has two cousins… Marcel Theroux, a writer and Louis Theroux, the actor, writer and journalist who makes BBC television programs, his Mother, Phyllis was a journalist for the NYT and Washington Post. JT’s father is a corporate attorney.
Overall JT comes from impressive familial lines but he seems seems to enjoy forms of lowbrow’ism. at its lowest and I am not inferring dumpster diving is the lowest LOL.

Question….doesn’t Angelina write her own speeches? crazy-azz haters trying to say on CB she does not. All Angie does is speak from her knowledge after speaking to the victims, research and her heart…and the girl is smart. She’s no Anuston bumbling around and getting reporters fired because they dared to ask a question about rape…the very cause of the “charity” Jen was supposedly supporting (PR).

.
Thank you Angelina for standing up for all victims of sexual violence…be it men, women and especially the children. The silence has been deafening on this issue. The suffering too long and no one should have to suffer alone or live in fear. Thank you to the brave women for sharing their stories and all the supporters.

I

@fyi:
Great answer, Angie. It should be the best and most qualified person to become president.

Ah, I see what you are getting at…it’s good to see so many people supporting the cause.

“By implying that Taiwan and China are two separate countries, in a moment of excitement, a brilliant woman (Jolie) became a stupid laughingstock,” a social media user reportedly wrote.

The “Girl Interrupted” star’s partner, Brad Pitt, was already in China’s dog house — the Oscar-nominated actor appeared in “Seven Years in Tibet” in 1997, and wound up receiving a lifetime ban from the country.

Angelina Jolie’s London Summit Wins Star-Studded Support

June 11, 2014

Angelina Jolie’s London summit to end rape in war zones has won the support of stars including Thandie Newton, Kathleen Turner, model Cara Delevingne, and even Catholic leader Pope Francis.

The Hollywood actress launched the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict in the British capital on Tuesday (10Jun14) and the event’s slogan #timetoact has sparked a social networking frenzy. The phrase has become a trending topic on Twitter.com as more and more stars post pictures of themselves holding a sign bearing the words.

Newton, Turner and Delevingne have all joined in, with the model backing Jolie in a tweet, writing, “Yes Angie! #timetoact #stoptorture”. Others who have backed the drive include Harry Potter actress Bonnie Wright, fashion designers Stella McCartney and Vivienne Westwood, singers Paloma Faith, Mollie King and Eliza Doolittle, and Pope Francis.

Where are they?

Angelina does give herself to any party or individual automatically without researching there policies.

Of course Angelina would love to see a woman President, but for all the right reasons. Media cannot pigeon hold Angelina.

Well, she has got girl’s standing at attention. And once more, no bra. Pleas, buy a bra or, have someone purchase one for you that covers your permanently hard nips. Wartime Rape Can Be Stopped, Clinton Tells Sexual Assault Conference
=====================================================.
Filed: 6/11/14

Speaking of Ticky, another actress, Kristen Wiig just got her first directorial gig of a feature film. She’s co-writing it with her Bridesmaid’s co-writer and they already of a studio on board.

Those words we will never hear about Ticky. That she’s going to actually, direct a feature film. That a studio will actually fund a movie that she’s going to direct. Three, that she’ll write the the feature film that she is going to direct that will have studio funding.

That’s like her having a child. All talk and no action.

Do we really need Angelina Jolie?
.
By Lauren Wolfe/Director — June 11, 2014
.

Everyone keeps asking me if we need Angelina Jolie. Leading up to the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict, which Jolie and UK Foreign Secretary William Hague are chairing in London this week, they want to know whether she is useful to this cause. I’ve been thinking a lot about this—whether a celebrity loaning her status and name to something like this issue is ultimately good or bad. I’ve been searching for an answer. And I think I’ve found it.
.
My pursuit begins in a damp room in mineral-rich eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, where a girl in green named Mireille sits holding a small baby in her arms. She is crying as she describes how at 16, a group of militants under the leadership of a man named Morgan—famous for mutilating women, cutting off their vaginas and marking circles around their mouths—took Mireille. They held her for eight months in the bush, where, she says, she was raped by so many men that she doesn’t know who the father is of the baby in her arms. “What will I do when he asks who his father is?” she asks. Through tears that become choking, she describes how she owns nothing more than the clothes on her back. “Who will help me now?” she sobs.
.
A psychologist treating Mireille tells me her future is dire. There is no hopeful ending to her situation. There is no miraculous money about to float out of the sky to feed and clothe herself and her son. There is no easy salve to soothe her deep, suppurating mental wounds.
.
Then, over in southern Turkey, where the wind gusts vigorously between the porous Syria-Turkey border, there is a teenaged Syrian girl who has had a complete mental collapse. I don’t meet her, but I sit in a hot, bright hospital office downstairs from where I suspect she is being treated. There, I learn these facts about her case:
.
Held in the basement of a private house in Idlib, a town in the northwest of Syria, eight shabiha (plainclothes militia) members raped and tortured her for seven or eight days in retribution for an alleged family connection to the Free Syrian Army. When she arrived across the border with two black eyes, signs of sexual assault on her were “very clear”—as were cigarette burns on her body—and she had lesions on her ******. Men, she said, had ejaculated on her and had used hot metal rods to burn her arms, legs, and thighs.
.
“She gets very agitated every time she tells her story,” a hospital administrator says. He asks whether I might be able to connect her to psychological help since there is next to none in the region. Even by Skype, he begs.
.
Then there is one story that actually keeps me up at night.
.
Inside Syria right now, in Idlib, there is a woman who has been raped while in detention. She is “free” now, but that freedom is relative, an activist who has documented her case tells me. After her release, the woman made her way home, where her husband promptly divorced her. She went to live with her father instead. He, I understand, keeps her locked inside the house. He is said to tell her occasionally, “I wish you had died.”
.

A couple years ago, I met Jolie briefly in the UK. I’d been asked to present our work documenting sexualized violence in Syria to Hague and others dedicated to this issue. She listened intently and said nothing. Since, I’ve heard her speak out multiple times for survivors who are not able to speak for themselves or able to obtain the global reach their stories so dearly need. Whether they are living a difficult life trying to raise a baby from rape, as Mireille, or they are unable to even step outside a hospital room, as the girl in southern Turkey, or they are being forbidden from living a life of recovery and freedom as the woman in Idlib, she is speaking for them by saying she supports this cause.
.
Jolie’s stratospheric visibility is making these women and girls visible.
.
For that simple fact alone, I believe we need Angelina Jolie, just as we need the investigators, the prosecutors, the philanthropists, the advocates, and the journalists. Because the attention economy for truly caring about suffering is tiny (as is the funding for efforts to help), we need Angelina Jolie. It is with her help, her devotion to the suffering of women who cannot leave their houses because of the intense stigma of rape, that we can bring attention to this issue. Now we just need governments to take on the complex problems that lead to rape in war and the needs of survivors after the fact.
.
Until they do, Angelina Jolie, we need you.
.

I was being sarcastic. I know Paul Theroux’s fairly well known in literary circles and that he’s Squiggy’s uncle not cousin. My point was – who GAFF what he thinks? Angie’s helping change lives. He’s whining about her right to do so just because she’s famous. Who is he to judge her motives when all he’s doing is sitting on hs fat ass observing from afar. She does all her humanitarian work on her own dime and has given tons of money to ALL of her causes. Why should her work, or the Gateses or Bono’s, be less valid just because some crusty ass writer sipping Bordeux and wearing wide-collared sweaters feigning intellectualism say they’re doing it to puff up their egos? So STFU and STFD Paul Theroux.

Hell, O2, less successful actresses and writers than Kristen Wiig are directing movies these days. Her own BFF, and supposedly less successful post-Friends, Courteney Cox’s movie debuted at Tribeca several months back. Ticky’s problem is her refusal to take risks ON HER OWN. She’s always got to have a bigger name to piggy back on. That’s why her production company with Producer Chick is a failure. If she could get $7MIL to produce a movie with her shittty BO track record as an actress, then she could get $7MIL to direct a movie. She just wouldn’t be able to handle the criticism that would be directly solely at her and she knows she and Huvsy couldn’t buy every critic on the planet with free Aveeno and Living Rough samples.

Y’know O2……..we will have the rest of ticky’s pathetic life to ridicule and humiliate her for her over-ambitious, impossible dream to “direct”; ditto for her over-ambitious impossible dream for OSCAR! LMFAO
.
This is because Ticky’s imagination is as barren as her womb.
.
One has to have vision/insight/a creative imagination to be a director. You have to see what others cannot see. How often do you hear actors say they couldnt believe the finished product when they saw it, as when they were shooting their scenes they didnt know what the whole would look like. Its the director’s job to see the end product when everyone else cant.
.
But why should anyone be surprised that ticky is one big fat nothing? What exactly does she do besides try desperately to keep getting acting gigs? She does nothing outside of HW. She has no passions to pursue; no causes to champion; no hobbies…………because she has no imagination. She is merely a self-absorbed twit whose only interest is making money
.
Everyone knows she plays variations of rachel her alter ego in every role. and in this last gig she had where she didnt get to cake on the make-up and put inextensions, she had to have an acting coach on set teaching her how to emote.
.

What people like Paul Theroux or anyone else that criticizes anyone for helping, using their name to garner attention to their causes, maybe, he should be questioning people like his runt of a nephew and his fiancee for sitting back and doing NOTHING. That should give him plenty to write about or does he feel like so many that his runt of a nephew and fiancee don’t contribute anything to the world and he’s embarrassed to bring that to anyone’s attention?

And why did he single out who he did? One, because using their names would garner him attention. The irony in that is eye roll inducing.

Ticky and Tacky let’s the count the many ways, you both do absolutely nothing for society. And let his runt of nephew slip back into obscurity once he and Ticky break up. As it’s coming. She’s got a pattern and it’s already started. Going weeks at a time, without seeing each other. And it’s not a one off deal. They’re spending more time a part this past year, than together. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

You never hear of her production company or how the two of them are out their optioning projects. They put that money or Ticky did when they announced their now pretty much, defunct company and it was money wasted because NOT one of them has gotten any forward movement is 6 years.

That’s why it is so comical when TamWRONG tries to claim that Ticky was anything with Plan B. If she was, she’d have a functioning production company. No the talent behind Plan B is still with Plan B. That’s Brad, Dede and Jeremy, plus the others that stayed with Plan B that also work behind the scenes. Not one person went with Ticky, except Producer Chick and she had no choice in the matter, as Brad fired her. She’s probably regretting her decision now because all she proved is that she couldn’t keep her yap shut and no one is going to want to work with that. LOL. Ticky should know.

Her passion and her hobby’s are the same thing. Going to Cabo, getting facials, going to spas. Having margaritas. Lying to the public about Aveeno/her skin, lying to the public about Living Rough/her hair.

She’s reduced herself to her skin and her hair, two things that she can’t tell the truth about if it saved her life. LOL.

Paul Theroux? LOL! He got pizzed once when his car broke down in Africa and some humanitarian NGO staffers wouldn’t bail him out and give him a lift. In reality they weren’t allowed to do it. But he’s a prima donna of the worst order and started his rants about the uselessness of all this aid inn foreign countries when they couldn’t give HIM aid. ROTFLMAO.
.
If I can find the article where the writer calls him out on this incident and his completely uninformed opinions about the issue – hence making him ignorant and I personally think it’s just pique which he uses as his shtick as a selling tool for his articles.
.
He also got kicked out of the Peace Corps for unethical violations and other crap like politicizing Peace Corps activities. That’s another interesting story and another completely self serving basis for his rant against those who actually do their jobs and volunteer work without the garbage he brought to his attempts in the field. People like him can’t do this kind of humanitarian work and when tasked with it as a responsibility they fail miserably by placing their own needs and agendas before the good of the people they are there to serve.

Wow… just wow… just when I thought the TOWN PUMP couldn’t sink any lower, she finds yet another way to surprise me. How disgusting and classless this woman can be to show her erect nipples at a conference on sexual violence. What kind of game is this demented creature playing, FFS? Does she really get off at the thought of rape and sexual abuse, or is she really using this opportunity to remind every one of her fraudulent mastectomy sob story? Either way, and even more importantly, is there anything sacred to this shameless woman? I don’t think there is.

Shut up. See, I knew you were Lifetime Loser. Obsessed with Angelina’s breasts. Or should we call you Liz. When are you going to bring Joe Blow back. And when are you going to start thumping your bible, Blessed One?

And fvck you. Plain and simple. Fvck you.

This is why this conference is so important. Not that a mental defect like you gives a damn about anything but your obsession with a woman that has done NOTHING to you.

Now, take your mentally challenged butt back to Fat Fvcks R Us where you’ve found your special friends.

No wonder Whiny Whamo deserted you. Even he couldn’t take the mental reject that you are.

#229 Wonderbust @Wonderbust:

Like seriously WTF is ticky doing in LA that’s so important that she can’t even bother to visit tacky for one day unless she’s working in NYC. What’s the hens excuse for their long separation? Deja vu.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

She’s got nothing of import going on in L.A. that prevents her from visiting her runt in NYC. Other than facials, spa days, etc. Hell, she couldn’t even be bothered to fly in for a night when she was in Boston for Living Rough. You know pimping her hair care line for her fake hair?

As you said, she’ll only venture to be in NYC if it benefits her pocket book. Gone are the days when she says she just loves NYC. Nope. He does, her, not so much.

But, when it became apparent to the both of them that she was doing absolutely nothing for his career, like they both thought she would, he knew it was up to him to get his butt a job. And when he did, he took one where it filmed in NYC. Not L.A. Granted, beggars can’t be choosers and since he’s been a beggar going on three years. Maybe, he does a little pride. And let’s face it, like the other men before him, he likes being away from her nag. So, he can hang with his dubious friends like Richards and she can hang with hers, Handjob. Who by the by is now saying she left her show on E! because she got tired of all of the HW drama that she had to deal with on her show. Yeah, not because E! got tired of the drama she created herself. Of course, like her friend, Ticky it’s not her fault. Maybe, 2%, but, the rest is HW’s fault. The HW that she couldn’t wait to get a foot hold in. Yep, that HW. LOL.

So the ugly black lesbian landwhale brought out her sockpuppet to try and derail the thread with childish taunts. LOL, well there’s nothing any loontard can say to deflect from the fact that only a sexual deviant would walk around with completely obvious erect nipples at a summit on sexual violence.

Speaking of parents, no wonder Jon was desperate to get help for this disgusting psycho vvhore. Only a severely disturbed mental case glorifies rape at a conference on sexual violence.

So what is this sick creature trying to achieve? Is this her way to raise awareness to anyone but herself? It’s clear to me she gets off on things that are considered taboo or forbidden. After the ghetto landwhale gets tired of telling lies through her sockpuppet, maybe she can address those questions, hmmm?

Hola I went to watch maleficent for the 3rd time this time in 3D,maybe on saturday i will go to see it in 4dx , thanks to her fans for keep us inform on the summit My admiration for Angelina goes beyond being a movie star, she is a super human that really cares and if we now in days we have heroes with super powers in the movies, she is the wonder woman of our days……..no words can describe her she is beyond and more, for me she the numero uno as an actress no one can compare to her she has no equal none nadie!

For anyone logging on to the Google home page, there is an interesting depiction of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. A green and canary yellow football rolls into the foreground, with the letters in the Google logo depicted with hands and feet bobbling about in joy. The background depicts a cartoon version of Rio.

I see the loons are not talking about the fact that Twatgelina ripped off Katharine Hepburn’s look. And I bet they’ll be claiming from now on that it was the Ho who invented the look, just as they did with the high slit dresses after Leg-gate!!! LOL.

Observer2 @ 06/12/2014 at 1:58 am

@Ⱦamsin:

Shut up. You’re still pissed off about Flop of Tomorrow. You can’t justify why you call it a hit while calling Maleficent a bomb.

You can’t make your round circle fit into a square peg. Let’s see Maleficent has only made over 100M more than Tommy boy’s movie domestically. And Tommy boy’s movie is sputtering. Tommy Boy got beat by two females and one of them a tween.

You can’t explain how Tommy boy’s movie is a hit WW only doing 146M dollars WW on a 178M dollar budget while Maleficent has done 336M on a 170M dollar budget. And yet, you say that Maleficent is a bomb. WB is going to have to write off Flop of Tomorrow. Why do you think that they really moved back the Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum movie. They didn’t want to have 3 flops in one quarter. First Sandler, then Tommy Boy.

You want to explain your fuzzy math on that? Or how you’re so brilliant in deducing how Maleficent hasn’t made any money in China when it hasn’t even opened in China, Einstein. That brilliance is just mind blowing that a movie that hasn’t even opened yet, in a market hasn’t made any money. You could do wonders for Wall Street. LMAO!

Why don’t you start it off with how Angelina doesn’t have tan lines as your proof of all.

Still waiting for Blessed One, which you outed yourself as being by answering as TamWRONG while thinking you were answering as Blessed One. Though, you admitted in one of your rants that you do post under many alters. Oh and just like you forgot yourself and admitted what we’ve been telling you, that Angelina is an A-Lister.

Please, forget yourself again, you mental defect.

Who hates you more? You and your parents?

And why are you so obsessed with Angelina’s breasts?

Come back as Lifetime Loser, Liz, Anna, Dance, Joe Blow or Blessed One. Or do us a favor and get Whiny Whamo over here. You can’t as Whiny Whamo deserted your butt like everyone else has. Good, job, sparky. That’s why you’re such a mocking good time.

If loons weren’t as morally bankrupt as their idols, they would stop and question the reason why their idol has the nerve to lecture people on sexual violence when she’s said things like this:

- “I need someone physically stronger than me…. I am always on top. It’s
really unfortunate. I am begging for the man that can put me on the
bottom. Or the woman. Anybody that can take me down.”

- “I wish I could find people who just would fight me and break through to me and hold me down and scream their life into my face”

- “Anything that feels good couldn’t possibly be bad.”

Wow… some nice karma they have coming!

Observer2 @ 06/12/2014 at 2:08 am

@Ⱦamsin:

Jeebus, Twick, all you care about are Angelina’s breasts and the pants she’s wearing. You’re a bit shallow. Shouldn’t you be posting on Ticky threads or Paltrow threads or the Kardashian threads.

Funny, you’d think that Angelina did invent the slit since everyone and their grandmother tried and failed to copy Angelina afterwards. You too, I’d guess. How’d that work out for you? Since you can’t decide if you’re a man or a woman.

So now that it’s clear that a psychopath is attending a summit on sexual violence despite supporting it at the same time, here’s the proof of how she’s glamorized and sensualized the same acts she claims to be disgusted by.

http://s3.amazonaws.com/data.tumblr.com/tumblr_kzit0rcth01qz9qooo1_1280.jpg

I’m so glad that evidence like this exists on the Internet, because now more people will realize the vile games this woman is playing, and how she’s exploiting sexual violence victims for self gain, just as she’s done in the past with refugees, children and cancer patients.

Talk about karma!

@Ⱦamsin:

This is for you, Twick:

Now we just need governments to take on the complex problems that lead to rape in war and the needs of survivors after the fact.
.
Until they do, Angelina Jolie, we need you.
.

You sound so ridiculous with your karma talk. Again, quit talking about something that you have no idea how it works. You better get your butt on a plane to London and hand out your proof, you mental defect.

You’d get even a bigger eye roll than you do in life, you Twick.

Start off by Angelina not having tan lines and how her movie isn’t making money in China, though it hasn’t opened in China yet. You shouldn’t let people not hear your golden nuggets of brilliance. LMAO!

Tell them how you believe she works for the CiA and is a gun runner and drug smuggler.

Those are your big things right? She doesn’t have tan lines, her movie hasn’t made money in China even though it hasn’t opened there yet, she works for the CiA, etc.

Oh, wait, why don’t you say that’s not really Angelina, the cIA has pasted her face on someone else’s body. That’s another great one from you Fat Fvckers.

You continue to be a mocking good time, Twick.

Angie is beautiful and amazing as always. I’m looking forward to the rest of the summit. Brad must be so proud of his sweet Angie! It’s cool to see some of the Fury stuff coming out- looks excellent- so much to look forward to!!
Marisol- good job! We’ve only been to Maleficent twice, but do want to go again ☺

Good laugh…Colbert was hilarious tonight, using a great Frankenstein metaphor to describe Eric C getting primaried/tea partied:
“No one saw it coming, least of all Eric Cantor who helped create the tea party, by stitching together dead ideas and filling it with rage, giving it a jolt of power and letting it loose on the countryside, terrified of fire and science! I mean who, who could even imagine that it would come back to kill its creator!!”

I think it is really good intention from them, but it is very hard to implement. Just as Christine Amanpour said, even in American army, There are many reported cases of female soldiers being raped by male soldiers. Most of them didn’t get justice. Even in America, a country with strong laws, it can’t stop rape within its army. What can you expect from other countries, those third world countries?

Watch 2 Clips From Sundance-Winning Angelina Jolie-Exec Produced Ethiopian Drama ‘Difret’
================================================================================
.
by Tambay A. Obenson June 11, 2014 5:53 PM
.

No trailer yet, but here are 2 clips from the Sundance Film Festival award winning feature film from Ethiopian filmmaker Zeresenay Berhane Mehari’s, titled “Difret” (his feature directorial debut)
.
Soon after its Sundance premiere (where it picked up the Audience Award: World Cinema Dramatic), Angelina Jolie attached her name to the project in an executive producer capacity, which should dramatically help raise the film’s profile, and maybe even assures that it’ll get some kind of a distribution deal here in the USA (it hasn’t yet that we know of).
.
A project we first alerted you to during the summer of 2012, writer/director Zeresenay Mehari’s “Difret” is a feature length scripted film based on the true story of the legal-precedent-setting court case that outlawed the practice of abduction for marriage in Ethiopia – also referred to as “Telefa.”
.
It tells the story of a 14-year old girl named Aberash Bekele who was accused of murder after killing the 29-year old man who raped, beat, and abducted her in an attempt to marry her. Aberash was charged with murder and kept in prison without bail until a female lawyer named Meaza Ashenafi heard about the case and decided to represent Aberash. With immense odds against them, the 2 women fought a harrowing drawn-out legal battle over a two-year period that would eventually change the lives of Ethiopian women forever.
.
It was last summer (2013) when the filmmakers raised close to $30,000 via Kickstarter to complete post-production on the film, which was shot in Ethiopia last year on 35mm film (a rarity these days, especially when it comes to indie filmmaking), thanks to support from a production package from Panavison Cameras, Pipeline Production, the Ministry of Culture Ethiopia, and others, including a previous successful Kickstarter campaign that raised almost $40,000 of the film’s mid-6-figure budget.
.
“It is inspiring to see such an important story so beautifully illustrated with such creative talent. It draws out the richness of Ethiopian culture and shows how important legal advances can be made while respecting local culture,” said Angelina Jolie in a statement, adding, “It is a story that gives hope for Ethiopia’s future, and for other countries where countless girls grow up without the protection of laws that shield them and their bodies, and shows how the courage of brave individuals can awaken the conscience of a society.”
.
The film stars Meron Getnet and Tizita Hagere. By the way, it’s worth noting that Jolie’s adopted daughter Zahara is Ethiopian. She and hubby Brad Pitt have also given millions of dollars to help fight HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis in the country. Watch the 2 clips below:

It’s wonderful that Angie is continuing to shed so much light on this issue. Doing nothing/giving up because a problem seems too big or impossible is not in her nature, and the world is better place for it. We need more people like her. Speaking of the military, this man is participating in the summit:

http://www.theguardian.com/world/video/2013/jun/13/australia-army-chief-women-video

I meant to add re: the video from Australia’s army chief who will be at the summit, I appreciate his his strong, clear language. You could say it is just words, but it is far better than silence, which gives tacit endorsement to those who abuse others and makes things even worse.

Sorry but W. Hague and Jolie not only look cute together but work well together.

@Another Fan2: @bap: this right here is a sign the the summit is a success. Brad Pitt is there to get whatever credit he can possibly muster from angie and her cause. Very typical of him. When angie is not doing good he doesn’t know her name but when the world is in awe of her (mastectomy for example) there he is to photo-op her and her everything. And then of course you have angie posing the way she is like she’s that bihtc.

@Fu: Au contraire. Yes, the summit is a definite success, but Brad Pitt, whose woman rightfully shines for all of her commendable convictions and efforts, getting credit where credit is due, was simply adding to the equation, showing he is in solidarity with his wonderful partner. Angie, in turn, is giving credit to Brad for the tremendous support that allows her to pursue her goals; he probably even critiques her speeches and is a valuable sounding board.

Good morning to the great Jolie Pitt fans, I can tell this will be another stress filled day for the trolls. They have started already and the day is new. I love when Angie and Brad are seen together it send the braid dead crazy stalker into a complete meltdown. Oh well, that the power of the Jolie and Pitt. The trolls can’t stand them but they are turkeys they don’t know not to click onto a link that clearly stated Angelina Jolie or Brad Pitt. While the Jolie Pitt staplers are here checking out Brad and Angelina link, Tickys link has not seen a hit in one week, lolololol.

Btw, what are the troll tamshitt, Joe, Liz, hahahaha, Blessed One, LurkerLeslie going to do today, Angie is wearing Black, how are they going to get a hard on when they cannot see her nibbles. The meltdown is going to be epic today. Help us Jesus.

-
Now Angie is on the stage and is giving speach

@Another Fan2: the A team? More like the awkward team. I haven’t seen her stand that far apart from him since 2005. Hands in the pocket walking away from him in many shots. It is obviously angie didn’t ask him to be there. Why is he posing with angelina and William hague? He looks out of place and uninvited.

@Another Fan2: he looks unwanted by Angelina’s body language. Hands in pocket and walking away from him, not wanting to acknowledge his current existence. How odd. Did he crash the event? Looks like it.

Another Fan2 @ 06/12/2014 at 5:48 am

@Fu: Aren’t you ashamed of yourself stalking people you obviously hate. Why not use your time and energy on someone you admire. Dont you admire Ticky? Well Fu HO over there and congratulate her over her new hair do and ask her what happened o tacky, why are they not living in the same state or seen together for months. Are you not proud of your girl Ticky and her bought gigolo? Now Fu, Fvck You!

@Rose: aren’t you ashamed of yourself stalking celebrities you don’t even know? Wait don’t answer that you’re too busy being a hypocrite. Fyi, I’m not here 24/7 like you are rose so please look in the mirror before accusing people of things when you have no idea what I do unity my life but we all know what you do with yours because you’re here ALL THE TIME. Now please ignore me, yeah right.

Thank you everyone for the links.
It’s great to see Brad there to support his woman. In 9+ years Brad a few times travel with Angelina in some of her humanitarian trips.

@Ⱦamsin: what does ones race have to do with anything? You dedicate your life to jolie. Now that is a laugh riot.

Flocking loser.

@truth: is her man hague because that’s who she’s smiling at. Nice try looking for anything to make it look like she is happy he is there. This is not a red carpet where she is faking the funk, doll. She gives pitt nothing but the side eye and it’s a bit of a stank side eye. Like a gtfo side eye.

@Ⱦamsin: yeah you just got banned from Female first for implying that pitt was suggesting a rape in that photo.

——
Oh you didn’t know that is pitt in the photo, did you. Oop. Loser.

Good morning Phool, how are you my dear sister and friend. Omg, Phool, what a beautiful sight to see Brad by his girl Angie. You know he’s so proud of her. I guess we have to prepare today or the meltdown. You know when they are seen together it’s just too much for the trolls to bare. They will be coming up with ever excuse in the book to attack Brad, Angelina and their fans today. Oh well, same shitt different day from the trolls. Beautiful day for the fans.

Good morning to the early birds, Susan, Dawne, Busted, Anustin, NDN, Yolly, NAN, Jaye, Premalee, Jen the Hag, Love the Jolie Pitts, FYI, and all the early birds not
listed.

Hi, were the moron, Go figure, Briseis, Wonderbust, loco, Valis 202, Shi
Baby, Bizzy bee, Be a, Ne’er, awhodat, Vicki from Texas, A Lurker, Lucy, juju, Observer 2, Just me, CLINIQUA, Passing Through, Kim, Maya, QQQQ, Avon 2, who, LMAO, JP Fan, everyone have a beautiful day.

ANGELINA JOLIE, IM SO PROUD TO BE YOUR FAN.

When does this summit ends? Anyone knows when they will leave to LA?

@esther: This is a four day summer. It started on Tuesday. Now who knows when they will be going to LA.

I am going to get hammered for saying this, Did Angelina anytime get on stage with Brad in New Orleans? Did Brad invite her on stage to thank her for her support?

@bap: of course not. Angelina is on another level than Pitt. He is there because he wants attention. He doesn’t acknowledge the FACT (except for one time on entertainment tonight) that angelina funded MIR. Yes. He let her take the blame for selling shiloh’s photo (that he also covered) but then took the money for the shoot and started Mir. That was angie and shiloh’ money. And then he goes on to beg for money from everyone else too while he’s at it. That’s the real pitt for ya.

so it will end tomorrow. Thank you.

When I read comments from people around the net, stating that this summit is a waste of time, that it will not change rape as a weapon of war, I think that such an attitude is too pessimistic The arc of the moral universe is long but it bends towards justice and the human spirit yearns for kindness. I really believe that.
.
Prior to the adoption of the Geneva conventions and protocols, torture and mistreatment of POWs of international conflicts as well as the use of Chemical Weapons were common. In fact, I’d wager many thought at that time, that the convention/protocol against torture or to stop the use of the Chemical weapons would be totally pointless. As pointless as trying to stop sexual abuse in war.
.
Yet, now, many decades later, mistreatment of POWs and the use of Chemical weapons are far less widespread. The Protocols and conventions have given us, the people, a standard by which we can hold our leaders accountable. Perhaps neither the torture/mistreatment of POWs or the use of Chemical Weapons will be entirely eradicated in our life times, but the reduction in its prevalence is a very good start as far as I’m concerned.
.
If we can reduce the prevalence of Chemical Weapons and for Torture/mistreatment of POWs, we can do this for sexual abuse during war, using the same tools.

@truth: Hi Fu, I see you are having a very bad day. I’m going to make your day better so you can leave this thread and get some rest. First you are right, Brad and Angie don’t live together… they don’t have children…. they NEVER HAD SEX….they don’t like each other… Angie hates Brad. Brad hates Angie…. they are never happy when they are together…. they are not doing a movie together this summer… Are you happy now?

You are right, the fans are wrong!! Now, will you take your funky ass off this thread and go over to Tickys thread and sing her praise. Leave a comment about how beautiful she is when her photos are airbrushed. See how beautiful her new hair is when she takes out the weave…see how awesome Ticky’s five nose job are. Talk about how her chin is makes a beautiful runway as a plane. See you have lots of things to talk about over at Tickys thread. Now, Fu and Fvck off you moron.
runway.

@Fu:
.
I don’t ask you to be ashamed about stalking celebrities. I would however ask you to be ashamed that you take such evident pleasure, such glee, in hoping that Brad and Angelina are miserable together – without giving any regard to the happiness of their 6 children.
.

@bap: Bap, you know you can’t go for more than two days without saying something negative about Brad. Stay pressed Bap if makes you feel better. You know the answer to the question you are asking. Btw, you know you are disrespecting Angelina when you continue to take swipes at the man she loves and the father of all six of her children. See Bap, that’s why I always tell you, you are a troll pretending to be a fan of Angelina. Anyway, have. Great day.

Brad dis say she way smart on how she sold the pictures, but since he is the father he must a say so on selling of the pictures.

All newspapers and magazines state Angelina sold the pictures nothing about BRAD and his image.

Blanche DuBois @ 06/12/2014 at 6:48 am

@Rose: okay weirdo. That’s not me I haven’t been here under any other names on this thread other than fu and now this one. Ya see I have something people call (let me go slow for you) a. J.O.B. (I know you have no idea what that is because your life revolves around brange and justjared. lol) and I ain’t got time for this ALL THE TIME. I am an occasional lurker/ poster. Bow bicth

@Rose: #315, was for Fu.

Blanche DuBois @ 06/12/2014 at 6:51 am

@bap: yeah but did he say he was apart of it? He half assed his way through that whole entire thing and angelina fans should have said no right there. No more support for him. Lol he is all about safe guarding his own image for $$$$ and always has been angie says stuff because she feels it and she loves her family. That’s real and genuine I think. She doesn’t care if talking about pitt will ruin her career because she loved him. Ya know?

@Blanche DuBois: #319, Well go to work moron and stop talking nonsense.

Blanche DuBois @ 06/12/2014 at 6:53 am

@Rose: oh so wow you’re Liylian. Lol there you are trying to call me out for being a different user (wasn’t and still isn’t true) but you’re rose and Lylian and who knows who else? LoL omg that’s funny. Idiot.

@snny:

So Glad that Brad is there to support Angie and this cause.

@bap.

Brad is not on the stage with Angie; they are posing by an inside billboard. Seriously you need to stop. You don’t like Brad fine. But this is an important event and I for one love that he is there today to stand with and by her. I would have found it very strange if he had not come out.

they have always supported each other. This is nothing new.

Blanche DuBois @ 06/12/2014 at 6:56 am

@Rose: I’m off for the day , bicth. Thought you would figure that out but guess you’re hard headed. Lol

Look Rose I understand Brad loves Angelina, he loves his image also.

I understand that he realized that he was unhappy in his marriage, but did leave quickly he waited, why because he worried about public backfire Jennifer was very popular at the time.

He only decide he me Angelina, the girl with at bad image and beautiful.

The blame did shift to Angelina not Brad so much, how could he resist a woman so beautiful.

Married women most of time blame the other woman, Jennifer went Angelina not Brad. The Golden boy of Hollywood.

love and peace @ 06/12/2014 at 7:05 am

“I need someone physically stronger than me….

Saint A.Jolie

Does anyone know if that site JPS is off or down. I tried to get it but couldn’t. I know most of the fan sites have better pictures.

@bap: You are making no sense. Stay pressed Bap. I’m done with you today.

Mr. Hague wife is there also.

Rose I am not pressed.

Dented Head Jolie @ 06/12/2014 at 7:13 am

Looks like Ang fell off of the Summit and hit every rock on the way down.

Wonderbust @ 06/12/2014 at 7:19 am

@love and peace:
Hey TamBusted why don’t you book a trip to London and go get a sign with these words and protest in front of the summit, if not Sit down no one cares about your rants.

@DENTED HEAD JOLIE AT LEASE SHE TAKE A STAND FOR CAUSES GLOBALLY AND NOT FEAR OF HER IMAGE.

@bap: Wow, were you there in Brad and Jennifer’s house to know so much about what was going on? Were you there in Brad’s mind to know what he was thinking and when? How do you do it, what’s your secret?! With fans like you, Angelina doesn’t need enemies and this site doesn’t need trolls, since you do the job for them so well.

@love and peace:

Head back over to IUC.. which idiot are you over there?.. LOL.. you freaks are so obsessed with this woman and sex. I guess you are not getting any. That is why that site is so DEAD.. a bunch of OLD DRIED UP BIT@hes that spend all day talking about a woman they are either in love with or wish they were.

Good morning J-P fans.
@Rose, Brad is supporting his partner as usual, because he is not shouting from the roof tops, it seems to be bothering someone.
Angie showed her feelings for Brad and they’re called Shiloh, Knox and Viv, and Brad showed his by adopting Maddox, Zahara and Pax.
It is so funny reporters are now acting surprise that Angie is intelligent, they tried to label her as this wild and kooky person, and put her in a box, but with the Internet every thing is instant.
This is a woman that had everything thrown at her and never flinch, and as always continues to work helping others.
Handjob contract was until Dec, but E want her out in Aug, and she going around talking about she is leaving.
Sherri Shepherd, sure is not talking now, too much baby drama.

Harold de Boer @ 06/12/2014 at 9:05 am

Why hasn’t it crossed anyone’s mind that Angelina has for years (10 years) trying to become the next Diana?
She even has said it herself. http://www.entertainmentwise.c...
She isnt genuine at all, and God knows just doing this to emulate Diana because she loves to be hailed as the new Diana.

But she is making one mistake which shows how dumb she really is: while Diana worked AGAINST the establishment, because she knew they created wars, the same wars where these women get raped, Jolie is working WITH and FOR the establishment.

You need to understand that being an UN ambassador is nothing more than a publiciity stunt for celebs. And even if Jolie was genuine than she isn’t very smart: facts show that the UN is corrupt and does noting more than talk talk talk! Anyone with a bit understanding of how wars are created and why rape is used will understand that working for the UN is the last thing you should do if you really want to make the world a better place!

Jen tha hag @ 06/13/2014 at 12:21 am

LOL! Why in the world would Angelina want to be Diana. Talk about dumb as a box of rocks. Angelina on the other hand is obviously quite intelligent and industrious. THAT is something you could never say about Diana.
.
Perhaps this is a bit unfair but I got the impression that Diana’s behavior, including much of her humanitarian activity, was done to pizz off the Royals or show them up.
