Angelina Jolie Made an Honorary Dame by Queen Elizabeth II!

Angelina Jolie can add a new achievement to her already impressive life of work – royal recognition!

The 39-year-old actress has been made an honorary dame by England’s Queen Elizabeth II for her work combating sexual violence in war zones. Angelina will not be able to use the title of “dame” before her name though as she is not a British or Commonwealth citizen.

Previous United States citizens have received honorary knighthoods include director Steven Spielberg, former President Ronald Reagen, and Microsoft founder Bill Gates.

“To receive an honor related to foreign policy means a great deal to me, as it is what I wish to dedicate my working life to,” Angelina said (via Associated Press). Working on PVSI and with survivors of rape is an honour in itself. I know that succeeding in our goals will take a lifetime, and I am dedicated to it for all of mine.”

Angelina Jolie Made an Honorary Dame
June 13, 2014
She’s not just Hollywood royalty anymore, she’s the real deal.
Angelina Jolie has been made an honorary Dame by Queen Elizabeth II.
Chosen for recognition during this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours for her philanthropic and campaigning efforts surrounding work against sexual violence and the use of rape as a weapon. Because she is a foreign citizen, Jolie cannot be addressed as Dame but receives the title on an honorary basis.
In a statement, Angelina says, “To receive an honor related to foreign policy means a great deal to me, as it is what I wish to dedicate my working life to. Working on PVS and with survivors of rape is an honor in itself. I know that succeeding in our goals will take a lifetime and I am dedicated to it for all of mine.”
She also met with Prince Charles’ wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall during a dinner on Thursday.
Ending sexual violence is a cause that’s close to the Duchess’ heart. Camilla has visited rape crisis centers across the United Kingdom where she spoke with survivors regarding their tragic experiences.
Jolie co-chaired the four-day Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict and addressed ways to raise awareness in front of representatives from more than 100 countries.

Wow, huge congratulations to Dame Angelina!
As a fan I couldn’t be more proud, and no-one is more deserving for her life-long dedication and huge heart in helping others.
Brad and the kids must be bursting with pride, as will all her family and friends.

Angelina Jolie Made an Honorary Dame by Queen Elizabeth II, Says Honor “Means a Great Deal to Me”
by Bruna Nessif Today 2:54 PM PDT

One of Hollywood’s royals has been honored by an actual royal!
Angelina Jolie has been made into an honorary Dame by Queen Elizabeth II. The A-list actress was chosen for recognition in this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours for her campaigning work against sexual violence and the use of rape as a weapon of war.
Since Jolie is a foreign citizen, she cannot be addressed as Dame, but receives the award on an honorary basis..
Angelina reportedly said, “To receive an honor related to foreign policy means a great deal to me, as it is what I wish to dedicate my working life to. Working on PVSI and with survivors of rape is an honour in itself. I know that succeeding in our goals will take a lifetime, and I am dedicated to it for all of mine.”
That wasn’t the first (or probably last) royal encounter for Angie.
Jolie met Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall after the humanitarian spoke at a summit on global sexual violence in London over the past few days.
The 39-year-old, who serves as a U.N. Special Envoy, visited Clarence House on Thursday evening where she joined British Foreign Secretary William Hague for a visit with Prince Charles’ wife. Judging by the photo, the pair seemed to be delighted to finally meet, with Angelina and Camilla each sharing a sincere smile at one another.
Ending sexual violence is a cause close to the Duchess’ heart. Camilla has visited rape crisis centers across the U.K., where she has talked with rape survivors and been touched by their experiences. Jolie co-chaired the four-day Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict, and addressed ways to raise awareness in front of representatives from more than 100 countries.
The award-winning actress continued to speak on her humanitarian efforts as a guest on Ronan Farrow’s MSNBC show Ronan Farrow Daily today, where she touched on the crisis caused by sexual violence in conflict and explained what made her get involved in the first place.
“It was meeting with victims of rape, sitting there and hearing their stories and realizing how little had been done, how little prosecutions, how little people have been held accountable for such a horrendous crime. And it is, as we were speaking before the cameras started rolling, it is connected to refugee issues—all global issues,” she said.
“I think that’s one of the important things to come out of this summit, is to say, ‘We’re not saying this is the most important. It’s important to us, it’s important to so many people but it’s also a centerpoint to all violence against women and all injustices in the world.’
“And the summit was a way for us to explore how to tackle one issue from a very focused way, to see how we can, for the first time, bring together survivors, doctors in the field, NGOs, government officials, U.N., all under the same tent, all talking about the same issues, all different countries, and making sure that we haven’t left any stone unturned, that we’re making sure we address it completely.”
The Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict took two years to organize.
On the first day of the summit, Jolie told reporters that she and Hague had discussed a woman they met in Bosnia, who was still too ashamed to tell her son she’d been raped. “This day is for her,” Jolie said. “We believe it truly is a summit like no other.”

Angelina Jolie lands damehood for campaigning work
Last updated Fri 13 Jun 2014
A-lister and Oscar-winning superstar Angelina Jolie has picked up yet another award – an honorary damehood for her campaigning work to which she dedicates her “lifetime”.
Known for her roles in Hollywood roles Tomb Raider and Maleficent, she has been a leading lady cinema for more than a decade.
But Jolie, 39, is also a committed humanitarian and was described by US secretary of state John Kerry this week as a “fierce and fearless advocate” in this field.
Jolie is receiving an honorary damehood (DCMG) for services to UK foreign policy and the campaign to end war zone sexual violence.
She said: “To receive an honour related to foreign policy means a great deal to me, as it is what I wish to dedicate my working life to.
“Working on the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative and with survivors of rape is an honour in itself.
“I know that succeeding in our goals will take a lifetime, and I am dedicated to it for all of mine”.

Angelina Jolie honored by Queen

4:33 pm, Friday, June 13, 2014
LONDON (AP) — Angelina Jolie can add royal recognition to Hollywood stardom. The Oscar-winning actress has been named an honorary dame — the female version of a knight — by Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II.
Jolie, a United Nations special envoy, received the honor on Friday for her work combating sexual violence in war zones.
Jolie, who won a supporting actress Academy Award in 2000 for “Girl, Interrupted,” has spoken of scaling back her movie roles to focus on humanitarian work. She said that “to receive an honor related to foreign policy means a great deal to me, as it is what I wish to dedicate my working life to.”
Because she is not a British or Commonwealth citizen, Jolie won’t be entitled to use the title “dame” before her name. Previous U.S recipients of honorary knighthoods include director Steven Spielberg, Microsoft founder Bill Gates and former President Ronald Reagan.
Jolie, who was in London this week to co-host an international summit on sexual violence, was one of hundreds of people recognized in the queen’s annual Birthday Honors List for services to their community or national life.

Slay Dame Jolie slay.

Which basically means that Angelina Jolie is being knighted.

Good for her. She’s one of the few hollywood celebs who works for causes out of her heart, and not because it’s a photo opportunity.

Congrats to Angie.

Catherina Zeta Jones is a DAME.

Love Angelina, don’t care much for Camilla.

@Phool.: so will there be like a ceremony or something to honor dame Jolie?

I hope we can see some of the ceremony…..would be awesome.

“The first and only American Hollywood actress to get this honorary title.”

Angelina Jolie: First Dame of Hollywood honoured by the Queen

10:30PM BST 13 Jun 2014
Angelina Jolie, the Hollywood actress, has been singled out for recognition in this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours for her campaigning work against sexual violence and the use of rape as a weapon of war.
Jolie has been made an honorary Dame for using her international recognition to make the question of violence against women not only a global issue, but one to be taken seriously at the highest level.
The actress was in London this week leading a global summit on the issue in London, alongside William Hague, the Foreign Secretary.
As a foreign citizen Jolie, the co-founder of the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative PVSI, cannot be addressed as Dame, but receives the award on an honorary basis.
She said: “To receive an honour related to foreign policy means a great deal to me, as it is what I wish to dedicate my working life to. Working on PVSI and with survivors of rape is an honour in itself. I know that succeeding in our goals will take a lifetime, and I am dedicated to it for all of mine.”
Jolie has been honoured alongside four other individuals working for British charities and NGOs in the field of sexual violence, as part of the Diplomatic Service and Overseas Birthday Honours list recognising exceptional service to Britain overseas.
Jolie has also worked as a special envoy for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees since 2001, regularly visiting refugee camps around the world.
The announcement of Jolie’s award comes at the end of a week in which Mr Hague has been extensively photographed in her company as they attended the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict, in London’s Docklands. Hundreds of officials, diplomats, activists and survivors of rape in conflict zones attended the four-day event to discuss ways to improve the prosecution of offenders and protection of victims.
Jolie yesterday urged participants to keep lobbying for action, saying: “Our work is just beginning. The test we now face is whether we can make a difference on the ground. We can and will end impunity.”
John Kerry, the US secretary of state, speaking at the summit, described Jolie as a “fierce and fearless advocate”.
He said: “We’ve all watched her play many remarkable roles, but perhaps her most lasting legacy actually comes from a role she plays in real life — and that is the role of fierce and fearless advocate.”
Mr Hague welcomed the awarding of honours to individuals such as Jolie, whom he said were carrying out “extraordinary work” overseas.
“I am particularly delighted by the awards conferred upon those working with us to eradicate rape and sexual violence in conflict, through the PVSI initiative. Each individual on this list made a real difference and achieved lasting results,” he said.
Also singled out for an honour is Daniel Day-Lewis, the star of Lincoln and There Will Be Blood, who receives an OBE in recognition of his role as one of Britain’s finest screen actors.
Day-Lewis, 57, who won the most recent of his Oscars in 2012 — becoming the first man to win three best actor Oscars — for his portrayal of US President Abraham Lincoln’s struggle to pass the bill to emancipate slaves, said: “I’m entirely amazed and utterly delighted in equal measure.”
The son of Cecil Day-Lewis, the former poet laureate, and Jill Balcon, the actress, Day-Lewis has been nominated five times for the best actor Oscar and is known for his commitment to method acting, requiring intense immersion in his character.
He is said to have lived in a tent on a deserted Texan oilfield during the making of There Will Be Blood, and to play Gerry Conlon, a man wrongly jailed as an IRA bomber in In The Name Of The Father, he spent two days in a prison cell without food or water.

Fat Tick’s fans shouldn’t worry. I’m sure that Huvane will get Aveeno to give her something. They did make her their “special” envoy after all. Their brand ambassador, even though it’s all a lie. Photoshop and Oprah lighting.

Be prepared for them to release something to PEOPLE tomorrow. LOL.

Keep going, delusional one… I, and many others, are laughing our azzes off! So you just keep on spinning it.

@sighjordan 4h

angelina jolie is the most amazing woman that has fame and she uses it so well and is so intelligently beautiful for everything she does

The Queen has been taking blood transfusions from little children for years. She’s an Ang fan alright.

WOW, now that’s fantastic news, such an Honor for Angie, see, THAT’S why we’re fans of the Jolie-Pitts, they are actually achieving something in their lives.

its a honour. Like receiving the Légion d’honneur by the French President.
A good honour.

Observer2 @ 06/13/2014 at 6:49 pm

Lame Lizard. That’s all you got?

No, Lizard, you keep spinning it delusional one. Many others? What your 6 co-horts at Fat Fvcks or your six personalities. They all go to the same place, regardless.

You got owned. Bow down! LMAO!

What a dame!

What’s laughable is how you think the title mrs Brad pitt is the ultimate title above dame hood because in your mind a woman’s worth depends on the man she has. By now you’d think you would realize that Angelina doesn’t need to be Mrs Pitt to be successful. She is strong all on her own with the last name Jolie. But we all know pitt is beaming with pride at the moment because his lady is now a DAME.

Also find it funny how one of you asked when is sir Pitt going to be made a knight. Now THAT is even funnier.

Is it going to be a ceremony for it? when?

It’s such a pleasure to be a fan of Angelina.

No one gives a damn to all the knights and dames from the queen. LOL

I bet Pitt is way more excited and happy about the honors than Jolie herself is. Just like when she was honored with the humanitarian oscar. He said he was more excited for her than she was.

I love it….Dame Angelina

#busted @ 06/13/2014 at 6:40 pm

Busted, she is hated around the world that’s why the Queen of England has made her Dame; after all she is Brads Bad Girl, Delightfully So.LOL.

4 Hopeful Outcomes of Global Meeting to End Rape in War
Jun 13, 2014 7:06pm
Actress Angelina Jolie, senior diplomats from over 100 countries, humanitarian groups and activists from all over the world gathered for the largest-ever global summit on ending sexual violence in war in London this week.
The four-day meeting closed with Secretary of State John Kerry giving the keynote address. In it he reaffirmed the U.S. commitment to the issue, telling the crowd, “You don’t have to be a woman to advance the cause of justice and advance the cause of women around the world.”
Rape as a weapon of war is considered a massive problem on a global scale, often a byproduct of the insecurity, poverty and general lawlessness in conflicts and there have been questions as to whether the issue could be boiled down to a single conference. But the organizers, like Jolie, identified four tangible goals and outcomes that can be implemented in the global fight to end these crimes against women, children and men during war.
1) Call Attention to an Underreported Global Problem: The term of “rape as a weapon of war” is not new, but an actual look at the numbers are staggering, especially considering many rapes go unreported. While hard to quantify fully, the United Nations estimates that tens of thousands of women are raped in conflict areas each year. The places range from the Democratic Republic of Congo, which has been called “the rape capital of the world” to countries in Latin America where sexual violence has been used as a weapon as part of the endemic gang warfare. By launching a summit featuring diplomats from some of the world’s most powerful countries, such as the United States, the United Kingdom and France, in addition to the Hollywood glamour of superstars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, organizers hope to shine a bright light to the world on what remains a largely hidden problem.
2) Treat Rape In Conflict as a Crime and Hold Perpetrators Responsible: Participants in the conference wanted to push back against the idea that rape is an inevitable part of conflict; one of the results of the “fog of war,” which makes it nearly impossible to hold individuals responsible. The United Nations estimates that as many as 50,000 women were raped during the Bosnian war in 1992-1995, but there have been fewer than 70 convictions. Much of the meeting was spent developing an international protocol for documenting and investigating sexual violence in conflict.
For example, the United Kingdom has dispersed a team of experts from a range of different background and skill sets to deploy in and out of conflict areas over the last year including in Libya, Syria and Mali. These teams “have been intentionally going to where stuff is happening or where they are still enduring consequences of sexual violence and conflict” to work with local humanitarian groups and law enforcement to assist in gathering evidence of crimes and also supporting the groups and governments to build better national capacity to handle the problem, a British diplomat confirmed to reporters earlier this week.
3) Get Governments to Act: Government officials from all of the countries attending the conference have agreed to take steps, including training military forces on ways to prevent sexual violence, by signing protocol statements committing to reinforcing the best practices and ideas identified in combating rape. The summit also encouraged countries to strengthen their local laws to be able prosecute perpetrators more efficiently.
“One of the most heartening aspects of this summit has been to see so many male leaders… prepared to confront the taboo surrounding sexual violence in conflict,” Angelina Jolie said at the news conference closing the meeting. “This subject is now firmly on the top table of international diplomacy – and we will work to ensure it stays there.”
4) Give a Voice to The Victims: The thousands of women and children, as well as men who are victims of these horrific crimes every year need to feel like more than just a statistic, activists say. Sexual violence can have very real and sometimes costly consequences. Women and girls who have been gang-raped often face costly medical issues that can financially cripple their families. There is also the issue of stigma and caring for children born out of rape. The United Nations has proposed that victims should receive financial reparations as well as counseling and medical help.
On Friday the U.S. State Department announced it was contributing an additional $12 million to programs specifically addressing the needs of victims of sexual violence in conflict areas and women and girls in the most vulnerable situations such as refugee camps.
“We know that survivors often need urgent assistance in order to recover and heal, whether during times of crisis or times of peace,” Secretary Kerry said in his address. ”It’s the same challenge, and it’s labor intensive and we need to support it. We need to make sure that they have that support in whatever moment of time it is and wherever they are in the world.”

congratulations to dumb Angelina Jolie, you are damned.

UK sexual violence summit ends on hopeful note

Updated: 4:01 pm, Fri Jun 13, 2014.
LONDON (AP) — A conference focusing on rape in conflict zones ended on an upbeat note Friday, with hundreds of participants from Somalia to Kosovo encouraged by an outpouring of international support.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry told participants it was time to “banish sexual violence to the dark ages and the history books.”
“We will not tolerate rape as a tactic of war and intimidation,” he said.
Activists, diplomats and rape survivors left the four-day London summit, co-hosted by actress Angelina Jolie and British Foreign Secretary William Hague, believing they had made progress in better prosecuting offenders and protecting victims — especially those in developing countries and conflict regions.
Organizers said 155 countries signed a declaration of commitment to end sexual violence in conflict and many, including the U.S. and Britain, pledged funds to support the cause.
Deeq Mohamed, a Somali delegate, said he came away encouraged by the global support, although he knew there was no easy answer to the scourge of sex crimes in war zones.
“You see all the people around the world here and you realize you’re not alone anymore,” he said. “Everybody is making their little difference, and that can make a big change.”
Jolie, a U.N. special envoy, arrived Friday with partner Brad Pitt.
“I believe that one of the outcomes of this summit is that this subject is now firmly on the top table of international diplomacy,” the actress said. “And we will work to ensure that it stays there.”
Kerry’s keynote speech Friday ended with a rousing recital of Maya Angelou’s poem “Still I Rise.” He said Angelou, who recently died, was a rape victim herself who chose to speak out and inspire others.
“We came here to send a message: We rise, we rise . Let’s get the job done,” Kerry said, prompting a standing ovation.

Someone is coming off of their spool.

Flthy Dame Jolie VVhore Panties

To be honest with you, the queen is the dumbest. LOL

“As a foreign citizen Jolie, the co-founder of the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative PVSI, cannot be addressed as Dame, but receives the award on an honorary basis.”

The Queen makes Angelina Jolie an honorary dame for campaigning against wartime rape
By Kyle Johnson, 6/13/2014
Queen Elizabeth II made Angelina Jolie an honorary dame for her international campaign against wartime rape.
While celebrating her birthday, the Queen awarded the Oscar winner the honorary title as Jolie is in London holding a summit with foreign secretary William Hague pushing to fight against war rape, reports The Guardian. Since Jolie is not a member of the Commonwealth, the title is merely honorary.
“To receive an honor related to foreign policy means a great deal to me as it is what I wish to dedicate my working life too,” Jolie said. “Working on PSVI (Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative) and with survivors of rape is an honor in itself.”
The summit, which went for four days, examined sexual violence during war and looked at finding better methods for increasing investigations and punishments for offenders, according to The Washington Post. “We refuse to believe that this is too big to defeat,” Secretary of State John F. Kerry said.
The PSVI summit was attended by hundreds of lawyers, activists, diplomats and others.
Jolie and Hague submitted a manual they would like to see implemented, which contains ways to investigate rape allegations, including what to ask during an interview and the proper way to store evidence.

Just like skeleton honorary Oscar, it doesn’t count as an real Oscar, IMDB still lists 1 Oscar under Skeleton’s profile. Honorary awards don’t count. loons

Dame Angelina Jolie is a true lady and the Princess Diana of our time

Fiona Phillips is proud of the picture she has with Angelina Jolie and even prouder of the actress’ achievements
Deserving award: Angelina
I’m not one for doing selfies with celebs, but as a leaving gift, a lovely colleague of mine once presented me with a framed picture of Angelina Jolie and I, taken as we sat side by side chatting following an interview.
Being captured for posterity sitting beside someone so beautiful is a bit of a salutary experience. Although, thankfully, it was one of my better days, so it could have been worse.
I’ve interviewed Angelina a number of times and am always impressed by her dignity, tinged with warmth. She is a woman who knows fame is nothing at all; that being a humanitarian is everything.
I remember first meeting her in Venice, where we were both ¬backstage at a film premiere held in the awe-inspiring St Mark’s Square. She was still single then. I was over-dressed. She was in jeans and a simple top, carrying her first adopted son Maddox on her hip.
She moves in a sort of noiseless way, never wearing her celebrity mantle, unless it’s called for. Being a human being who has suffered, she shares an empathy with those who are suffering terribly.
She doesn’t court fame or attention, she uses it; it’s why, despite sharing a compassion for the oppressed, sick and dumped upon, she’s more Diana, than Diana ever was. And without the surrounding hysteria.
Bravely speaking out about her preventative double mastectomy was so that other women would be armed with the knowledge of how to best deal with a genetic ¬disposition toward breast cancer. It was also for her six children, she told Woman’s Hour on Wednesday, because having suffered the agony of losing her mother to the disease, the thought of telling them that
“I had cancer because I didn’t have the surgery” was frightening to her.
She’s been in London this week, hosting the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict. Her visceral connection with women who’ve had the horrors of savage wars taken out on them, is evident when she struggles to hold back tears as she hugs and comforts when she walks among those who’ve been brutally raped too many times to count – some mothers brutalised by boys young enough to be their sons. There is no respect. No compassion.
Angelina knows that ¬religion – a bastion of male ¬domination – is often the spur and the excuse for degrading and abusing women, for preventing them from being educated, for using them as a vehicle for violent sexual ¬satisfaction.
She has drawn the world’s ¬attention toward a crime that is unthinkable. She has made people talk about an act that
is ¬unspeakable. The shame, as she says, is on the aggressor, not the victim.
Angelina Jolie is a ¬ Hollywood star , and now an honorary Dame. But she is also much bigger than that. I’m very proud of that picture.

Like the trolls the Daily Fail will be spinning off its axis.
Angie keeps rising and the trolls keep covering themselves in the dirt.
So blinded now by filth and hate. Karma indeed.

… and what about Sir Brad? NOT!

Observer2 @ 06/13/2014 at 7:19 pm

We know it’s hard for you, hagiston. Since, Ticky never gets honors that matter. Or the word honor in anything written about her. LMAO!

Oh, wait, she’s an honorary member of the Lifetime Loser club. Lizard knows all about that club. Don’t you, Lizard?

@#36 – For the time being Jennifer will be known as Brad’s only wife, but that title will change to first wife after Brad and Angie marry, and marry they will one day. But what will never, ever change is the fact that Angie is the mother of Brad’s six children, and Angie will retain that title forever and ever, whether you like it or not.

@Liz: you mad , bro? Dame Jolie is slaying them hatahs. 🎶You can hate Dame Jolie now, but she won’t stop now 🎶 Muahahahah

Brad is a King among men.. We already know this.

of course, the loons insist skeleton has 2 Oscars in their delusional minds.

She’ll have the trifecta of movies going straight to VOD. Sounds like a sexual disease. LOL. Maybe, that’s why Tacky is keeping his distance. She’s a clear and present danger.

Do loons count every award skeleton has gotten? how about home wrecker, husband stealer., these are honorary awards for Skeleton.

@Phool.: Hi Phool, I’m I reading this right, Our girl Angie was honored by the Queen of England with the title Dame!! OMG, OMG, THE blessed One=Liz= Joe=tamshitt is going to crap on itself tonight. Lololol.

Phool, didn’t Goop lived in England for the longest time? Was she honored with the title Dame?, guess not, lol. I guess writing about colon cleanse did not make the list for Dame.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE QUEEN, Angelina, you worked your butt off and deserves every good things coming to you. Phool, did I hear Angie mentioned that Brad is her husband more than once? I guess she is Mrs Pitt and she should know… more troll meltdown coming in 3, 2, 1, good times.

And you keep pretending that Ticky will ever win an Oscar. Your hopes got dashed with the movie that it was a crime that it got made is going straight to video. Good luck with the other two “indies”.

Remarks by Secretary of State Kerry at the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict

LONDON–(ENEWSPF)–June 13, 2014.
SECRETARY KERRY: Thank you very much. William, thank you very, very much. Ladies and gentlemen, distinguished guests all, and particularly my colleagues in government, I know that we all share – I must say I’ve been listening for a little while and able to watch a few of the videos and hear a few of the comments. And before I came in here, William shared with me some of the extraordinary events of the last few days, the remarkable amount of interactivity, the incredible effort that has gone into this. And I know we all share in our respect for William Hague, and all of us are particularly grateful for his leadership on preventing sexual violence in conflict.
In his extensive travels, which he and I have talked about on many occasions, Foreign Secretary Hague has personally taken the time to make certain that he bore witness to what we’re talking about here. He has seen the ravages of this horrific crime, from Darfur to Goma to Srebrenica. He has visited hospitals full of women on gurneys, all victims of sexual assault. He has not just seen these unspeakable horrors, but he refuses to stay silent. That, my friends, is leadership, and that is what conscience demands of all of us. And we are very grateful to you, William, for that effort. Thank you. (Applause.)
I also want to thank Angelina Jolie, the UN special representative. We’ve all watched her play many remarkable roles. But perhaps her most lasting legacy actually comes from a role that she plays in real life, and that is the role of fierce and fearless advocate.
On her most recent trip with Foreign Secretary Hague to Bosnia, she went to a battery factory and met with the women of Srebrenica and a group of Bosnian army officers whom Angelina described as all that stands between a “child and violence that will scar her forever.” So I’m proud to say with their work to prevent and combat sexual violence in conflict, Angelina and William together with all of you here are standing with these children.
And we are all profoundly grateful to every one of you, to Angelina, to William, to all of you who have taken time to come here and bear witness and tell the world that we all need to be committed to this effort.
I also want to thank Special Representative Bangura. The United States is very proud to support the essential work that she is doing with governments to make their real commitment to prevent and respond to sexual violence. And her efforts, together with all of you here, I am confident, particularly as I listen to the testimonies of my colleagues, various foreign ministers and other ministers – I think William told me there are 80-plus ministers who have been here representing 123 countries who are here – so I think everybody obviously deserves gratitude for the fact that you’ve taken the time to come and do this, but obviously, as we heard from our last speaker, the key is: What do we do when we leave here? What actions are we going to be committed to?
There are a remarkable number of thoughtful and experienced leaders from many walks of life who have come here in common cause. And I want to say to all of you that it is a privilege for me to share a few thoughts with you today and to express the commitment of President Obama and the Obama Administration and the people of the United States to this effort.
Now I realize that my comments at this conference come on the final day, in the final plenary. In other words, I’m speaking at a time when just about everything has been said but not everyone has said it. So recently, a friend of mine asked me – he said, “Why now? Why this conference now?” After all, this person, this friend, had been a student of warfare, had fought in a war, and he reminded me that sexual violence against women is a conflict that is as old as conflict itself. Well, there’s a reason why marauding armies, he said, thousands of years ago coined the phrase, “rape, pillage, and plunder” – the norm of battle, the trilogy of terror that reflected the rights of conquerors.
So why now? Because thousands of years after rape was written into the lexicon of warfare, we know that it is time to write it out and to banish sexual violence to the dark ages and the history books where it belongs. That is profoundly why now is important. (Applause.) It’s time for us, in an age where we see enough of chaos and of failed and failing states, to write a new norm – one that protects women, girls, men, boys, protects them from these unspeakable crimes.
And to all who say that sexual abuse is always going to be a spoil of war, something so ingrained that it can’t be eradicated, make no mistake – we can end sexual warfare conducted against innocent people. We can establish new norms that respect women, girls, men, and boys. And we can hold those who commit these acts and those who condone them – we can hold them all accountable. We can make clear to the world that we will no longer tolerate these horrific tactics. And they are tactics. It’s a tactic of warfare, tactic of intimidation, tactic of conquering. We can say “not now, not ever.”
And how do I know that? Because we’ve done it again and again and again when we’ve chosen to. Yes, the history of warfare is littered with unspeakable horrors and atrocities. But the history of peacetime has always been marked by advances in civility and codes of conduct that addressed the worst acts of warfare, because people were willing to stand up on reflection in a moment of conscience, in a moment of understanding the difference they’ve made and say, “No, no more, never again.”
A century ago, we just came – I was in Normandy remembering the extraordinary events of June 6th just a few days ago. And all of us were reminded how in the war that preceded that – and World War II was really the inevitable conclusion of the peace that wasn’t a peace, that never put the lessons altogether to bed. But nevertheless, one of those lessons was that a century ago, tens of thousands of young, British, American, French, and Italian soldiers died agonizing deaths from poison gas and mustard gas and the shelling in the trenches of World War I that brought those horrors.
But after the armistice, when the dead were buried and the afflicted came home, people, particularly veterans, were so horrified that except for the most depraved exception that we’ve seen once or twice since, chemical and biological weapons were banned from the battlefield within a decade of that war. That speaks to possibilities.
Two decades later, the devastation and death that was caused by the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were so massive and so mind-numbing that the very scientists who had perfected the devastating power of the atom in order to kill on massive levels led the effort themselves that galvanized the free world to vow never again to use nuclear weapons, and a treaty was soon signed in order to do that, and it remains in force today.
In fact, we are still fighting with universal support of the P5+1, the United Nations, in order to deal with the potential illegality of a couple of nations. Are these norms perfect? No. Can they stop every madman, ever bad actor who dares to defy them? No. But they draw a line, a firm line, a clear line, and they tell everyone who would dare cross it that the civilized world will not tolerate that transgression, and there will be consequences for those who do. They galvanize action to enforce the rules that keep the world from descending into places no person of conscience should bear it to go.
So when people ask whether or not we can actually outlaw sexual violence and warfare, let me tell you the answer is a resounding yes. Yes, we can achieve this goal. (Applause.) And I say that because we have banned the unconscionable before and because of the extraordinary activists gathered in this room really say to all of us we should have confidence in our capacity to do this. If there’s one thing that we’ve learned over the years, it’s pretty simple; you’ve got to start somewhere.
I was a young prosecutor back in the late 1970s, early ‘80s, when a lot of people still didn’t believe that violence against women was a crime. But guess what? We chipped away at that old thinking. I remember launching as the chief prosecutor in this office, one of the ten largest counties in America – I remember launching one of the very first programs for counseling rape victims so that we guaranteed that people were not twice victimized, once by the crime itself and then by the system that didn’t respond. And we put together a priority prosecution unit that took all of these cases and put them on a fast-track for trial so that we could try any case within 90 days of arrest to trial. We not only – we ended an era of anachronisms by actually speaking out loudly and created one of the first victim/witness assistance programs in the nation.
So today, when rape and sexual violence remains a weapon of war and is used on purpose as a tactic of war, the solution is actually the very same. That’s why I’m here today. That’s why I admire so deeply what William and Angelina and others of you who have worked for two years to bring this effort together have accomplished. We have to speak out loudly and clearly against one of the most persistent and neglected injustices imaginable. And we have to fight to hold the criminals accountability and end the age of impunity. Instead of shaming the survivors, we have to punish the perpetrators. And we must support the victims afterwards as they work to try to rebuild their lives.
This conference, the largest gathering of its kind in history, is about forcing the world to stop looking away. It’s about forcing the world to recognize that sexual violence is a vile crime against humanity. It is not just an excusable, inevitable byproduct of war. And there is a real and critical role for governments to play in this fight. Twenty years ago in the United States Senate, working with Cathy Russell, who now serves as U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues and has been here at this conference this past few days, and then working with then-Senator Joe Biden – they wrote and passed the Violence Against Women Act to protect women at home. Before I became Secretary of State, I wrote and my committee in the United States Senate passed the International Violence Against Women Act. And now we need to finish the job and pass that bill once and for all, and set an example for other governments in the world to follow.
And one of the reasons I talk about this issue, this and other issues regarding women so much as Secretary of State – and I know William Hague feels the same way – is that it is important to make clear that you don’t have to be a women to advance the cause of justice and honor women and girls. (Applause.) This is a fight that demands action from every single one of us. And in this fight we have to speak openly about male survivors of rape, with whom we stand today. (Applause.) Acts of sexual violence demean our collective humanity. When hundreds of girls are kidnapped by Boko Haram in Nigeria; or a man in Uganda is raped by a rebel group and forced to flee his home; or Afghan women brave rape, acid burnings, and brutal violence in their quest for a better future – when these appalling acts are committed, it is a stain on the conscience of the world.
It is a call to action for all of us, and throughout this week you’ve heard their stories. You’ve witnessed their courage. You’ve learned their names. We’ve all learned the name of 14-year-old Hirut Assefa, so vividly captured in the film Difret, which Angelina helped produce. And there’s some of you who have already seen this film, seen the film tells of the courage of an Ethiopian girl in the face of abduction and the compassion of one lawyer. But this really is a story of conscience and of conviction that ought to inspire everybody.
This issue should be personal to all of us. It really should be. I know it’s become personal for me. As a veteran of war, as the father of two daughters, I can tell you it is very much so. But you know what? It ought to be personal for every man, woman and child on Earth, because it degrades and defiles the very idea of civilization. And the civilized world needs to come together and take a stand.
So what do we need to do? Well, number one, we need a zero-tolerance policy towards sexual violence against women and men.
Two, we need to guarantee, country for country, that we can bring the perpetrators to justice. (Applause.) I know from my experience as a former prosecutor the difference that efforts at deterrence make, proactive efforts. And I know that we have to help countries to strengthen their domestic justice systems so that they have the infrastructure and the training to investigate and prosecute sexual violence effectively. And I might add doing so would build the capacity for those governments to survive and also to fight back against a wave of radical extremism and terror which is consuming some fragile governments today.
Number three, we need to restore dignity to survivors. People can’t be raped and then be ostracized and thrown out of their village and have their lives taken, or in some cases be killed by their own family because of some perverted sense of dishonor. We have to make sure that men, women, boys and girls, the elderly and disabled alike are saved from that kind of pejorative assumption in the aftermath of something they had nothing to do with as victims. We need to give them confidence to believe that they can come out of the shadows and once again become full citizens, get back their lives.
We also need to do more to prevent and respond to all forms of gender-based violence in humanitarian emergencies. The United States is very proud to be leading the call to action on protecting women and girls in emergencies which the United Kingdom launched last year. And I want to urge all governments, UN agencies, and NGOs to sign onto the call to action communique. We need to hold ourselves accountable for assuring that gender-based violence is literally addressed in every single humanitarian response. And we need to support the local organizations that are on the ground assisting survivors to recover and to heal. (Applause.) Because – and the reason we must do so is that we need to really acknowledge a basic truth: Gender-based violence, anywhere, is a threat to peace, security, and dignity everywhere. That’s why we will not, we should not, we cannot tolerate peace agreements that actually provide amnesty for rape. (Applause.)
Out of this conference we can and I think we will make it clear that we will not tolerate rape as a tactic of war and intimidation. And we are committed to making sure that women have a seat at the table in resolving conflicts – (applause) – promoting development, building a sustainable peace. We all have learned – believe me, I see it all over the world – where women are participants, where women are respected, where women are part of that dialogue, inevitably there is greater stability, greater progress, faster. (Applause.) And one thing we have learned, no team – it’s time of the World Cup, I’ll use an analogy – no team can possibly win leaving half of the team on the bench. We have to proceed with all. (Applause.)
And we need to make sure that their perspectives inform the work of security and justice and of peacekeeping operations. Without the help and guidance of all members of society – men, women, youth – we will not be able to achieve the lasting peace and security that all people deserve and yearn for.
Now obviously, this summit is not just about shared commitments. It’s about translating those commitments into action. Each of the videos that I just saw were individual pledges of each country determined to make its own difference. It’s a call to action. This is a plea to people everywhere to stand up and make a difference, and the United States also is committed to taking our own action now. We’re launching an accountability initiative to help survivors secure justice – to build the capacity of partner governments to prosecute the sexual violence crimes in countries that are ravaged by war and violence and insecurity.
We’re expanding an initiative that I announced last year called Safe from the Start. Our investments are helping aid workers at leading humanitarian organizations prevent and respond to gender-based violence at the onset of a disaster or a conflict. And I am especially pleased to share that we have just released a new funding opportunity for NGOs. We look forward to building on our initial $10 million commitment for Safe from the Start at the UN General Assembly this September.
We know that survivors often need urgent assistance in order to recover and heal, whether during times of crisis or times of peace. It’s the same challenge, and it’s labor intensive and we need to support it. We need to make sure that they have that support in whatever moment of time it is and wherever they are in the world. That’s why we are doubling our original commitment to the Gender-Based Violence Emergency Response and Protection Initiative. Our goal is to address the immediate needs of individual survivors while working with governments and private donors to improve advocacy and to implement the laws that will stop gender-based violence in the first place.
And more than just dollars or programs, we also want to lift up those people, those individuals who have the courage to lead and to inspire. The United States Government stands with human rights defenders on the front lines – (applause) – courageous and compassionate leaders like Dr. Denis Mukwege who is here today. And Dr. Mukwege and the health workers around the world is often – they’re the first to respond to survivors of sexual violence. We’re proud to support the critical role of NGO partners like Physicians for Human Rights as they work to defeat the scourge of sexual violence in the DRC and in Kenya and other places around the world. (Applause.)
We are proud of those who are prepared sometimes at great risk to themselves to stand up against violence and the repression. One of the things that has struck me so intensely as Secretary of State in the course of this year and the bit that I have been Secretary is in my travels, I keep meeting these people and I keep hearing these extraordinary stories of people who take on governments, often and usually anonymously without any support system around them, sometimes completely anonymously and often disappearing – disappearing to a dank jail, to torture, to never return to their families. There are heroes all around the world who are fighting, and we need to stand up and stand by them.
Human rights defenders like abducted Syrian activist Razan Zeitouneh, they are especially on our minds. (Applause.) Razan has risked her life inside Syria to care for political prisoners and call attention to human rights violations, including against women. We stand in awe of her leadership and heroism. And again today, I call for her release and the release of thousands of human rights defenders around the world. (Applause.) Their voices must not be silenced – their voices must be empowered. And William, that’s what you and this conference are doing here today, standing up for these courageous men and women who are continuing to try to change our societies.
That’s why we support a standalone goal of gender equality and women’s empowerment in the post-2015 development agenda, and we will fight for that. (Applause.) Long plane flight, get you any time. (Laughter.)
That’s why I am also issuing a policy guidance cable directly from me to every single embassy and every single bureau in the United States Department of State or in the foreign efforts, every diplomat and every officer at every level, in order to further integrate gender equality and advance the status of women and girls in all aspects of our diplomatic work, including – (applause) – preventing and responding to sexual violence in peacetime and conflict. I’m proud to tell you that five of my six regional bureau chiefs, assistants, are women, and four of my six under secretaries of the Department of State are women, and 50 percent of my deputy secretaries of State – that’s one of two – are women. (Applause.)
So these are steps that the United States, I can guarantee you, will continue to prioritize. But we also have a common responsibility, and that is to make sure that the perpetrators of sexual violence in conflict do not find refuge in any country. That is why I issued detailed guidance to implement President Obama’s decision to suspend visas to human rights abusers. Our principle is clear: To make sure that those responsible for crimes against humanity and war crimes, including those involving sexual violence, are not able to enter the United States. Not now, not ever. (Applause.)
And that responsibility goes straight to the top, even to the military commanders who knew or should have known about sexual violence and failed to act. I challenge all countries everywhere to participate in a global campaign of accountability and containment. That’s the way we come out of here: with a plan of action that can work and change the world. We need to send a strong message that no matter who commits these crimes, no matter where they take place, the perpetrators will find no safe harbor anywhere. (Applause.)
My friends, I do have faith that we can really win this fight. Sometimes I know it seems daunting, but hope is always stronger than fear. And nothing should give us more hope than the example of those who have survived sexual violence and found courage in their own recovery. We just lost one of these courageous women, the extraordinary poet Maya Angelou. (Applause.)
As a young girl, Maya was raped by her mother’s boyfriend. She withdrew into herself. She refused to speak for six years. One day, a woman in a small town in Arkansas where she lived took her hand and led her to a segregated library with only 300 books. But to Maya it felt like thousands of books, and that library became her refuge, became her place of healing. And when Maya chose to speak again – it was her choice; she chose – she incorporated all that she had learned from her reading and her recovery into the art for which she became so famous and so loved.
The words of her poem “Still I Rise” celebrate this journey:

Out of the huts of history’s shame
I rise
Up from a past that’s rooted in pain
I rise
I’m a black ocean, leaping and wide
Welling and swelling I hear in the tide.
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
I rise
Into a daybreak that’s wondrously clear
I rise
Today, together with all the people here – men and women, boys and girls – who refuse to remain victims, we rise. We rise with them as they leave behind nights of terror and fear. We rise with them into the daybreak as they speak out for those who cannot speak for themselves. As Maya exhorted us, we came here to send a message: We rise, we rise, we rise. We will go out of here and do the work to end this scourge of sexual violence. Let’s get the job done. Thank you very much, and God bless. (Applause.)

Awww, someone is pressed. Well, well, how delightful!

You can just fuck off now

Above post is for those who were asking for Secretary of State Kerry’s speech

How laughable are the crazies. Governments regularly bestow honorary titles to foreign dignitaries, meaning, they have earn an honor even if they are not citizens.
Cry to the ocean all you want, but AJ is much more than an actress, she has earned high honors in HW, but this is her day job. She is no shrinking flower, she goes out and does what she can, she is a voice for refugees and women.
What have you achieved today?

Observer2 @ 06/13/2014 at 7:33 pm

I know that this was probably already posted. A small video of Brad taking pictures of Angelina giving her speech. He’s so proud of her.

he was looking mighty pleased with himself lately, I bet he knew what was coming in the UK and he was so proud. Great success for AJ’s movie, a summit to attend and an honor to receive.
The mother of his children’s quite accomplished.
How wonderful!

sorry, meant children

that is so sweet. He seems so proud of her.

Royalty recognizing royalty. One Queen acknowledging another Queen. SO happy for Angelina. What a great honor and very much deserved. Hope we get to see pictures from the ceremony.

The only thing that’s pressed is the **** stuck between Observer2′s mammoth butt cheeks all day.. hoist yourself up from the ‘puter and dig out da doodoo

The DailyFail is pissed about Dame Angelina’s Honor.
Someone asked why the DailyFail hates Dame Angelina, and the answer was, because she is a woman and smart, LOL.

Gold Dust Woman @ 06/13/2014 at 7:41 pm

Just amazing news! Wow, wow, wow!!!
An honorary dame no less!
Now, I would have to check but I’m sure Bob Geldof received an honorary knighthood as he is Irish. He is routinely referred to sir Bob, however.
I may be wrong and I’m willing to be corrected but Elizabeth Taylor had the same issue but was also routinely referred to as Dame.

I’m out at the moment and can’t check on the above but I think either way, in due course Angelina will end up being called Dame by the media regardless of the rules. And she will become known by the title.
What an HONOUR!

Observer2 @ 06/13/2014 at 7:43 pm

You seem to know a lot about how all of that works. LOL.

probably does it on the regular

#Rose @ 06/13/2014 at 7:26 pm

Yes Rose my dearest you have heard it Right Angelina Jolie is to be from now on addresses as Dame Angelina Jolie and she will be honoured by non other that Queen Elizabeth. Hang on Rose Time to close the Windows I hear Screaming from the Costa Rican ocean.
Goop has been unconsciously not ever been even considered for any type of Hood let alone Dame Hood.
What Brad is Angie’s Husband , I have never heard you say that before , can you say that again, surely you’re not referring to her recent BBC interview ,where the interviewer said your Husband is here with you supporting you and she said yes he is, is that what you are asking* I ask innocently*. By the way sorry didn’t get chance to mail to you today, please forgive, I did though yesterday but you had left by that time it’s at the last two threads LOL.

#Observer2 @ 06/13/2014 at 7:26 pm

LOL, are you saying her Vaj is Weapon of mass destruction , I see now that makes sense why her fiancées prefers to spend more time with her pervert uncle terry Richardson than sleep with her.
By the way haven’t seen Squiggy do a Photo Op outside his BFF Philip Seymour Hofmann partner’s house, or was that only when the iron was hot news wise so to speak.

@Gold Dust Woman: Elizabeth Taylor was born in England.

Its not the Queen that acknowledges the honorees. Its a proposal of the British Government. The Queen in our system is a decorative figure.
Anyway, the criticism regarding this honour to jolie is overwhelming in the
commentaries boxes of the British Newspapers. quite the opposite of the Double Mastectomy.

Angelina Jolie Is Made an Honorary Dame by the Queen
By K.C. Blumm 06/13/2014 at 07:30 PM EDT

Just call her Dame Angelina!
Angelina Jolie was awarded with the honorary title by Queen Elizabeth II in London Friday, PEOPLE has confirmed.

The actress and humanitarian, 39, who co-chaired a global summit to end sexual violence in conflict in London this week, was made an honorary Dame Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George for extraordinary service to U.K. foreign policy.

The title is the female equivalent of an honorary knighthood. Jolie is among a thousand people named on the Queen’s annual Birthday Honours list, which also awarded a knighthood to Daniel Day-Lewis, a Companion of Honour order for Dame Maggie Smith and an Order of the British Empire (OBE) for Homeland star Damian Lewis.

Jolie’s honor recognizes her contribution towards the British foreign policy objective to end sexual violence in conflict – she founded the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative (PSVI) in the U.K. two years ago.

“To receive an honor related to foreign policy means a great deal to me, as it is what I wish to dedicate my working life to,” Jolie, who is a U.N. special envoy, said on learning of her award. “Working on PSVI and with survivors of rape is an honor in itself. I know that succeeding in our goals will take a lifetime, and I am dedicated to it for all of mine.”

like it or not……she earned the title…..not those dirtfug award! congrates ,Dame ,jolie.

@British: Who cares, why not take to the streets and protest.
This is really bothering you, now bow down to Dame Angelina.
Do they think Honor is going to cut into their Dole money?

Who gives a ****.. she didn’t ask for it.. it was given to her.. so people can get mad all they want.. She deserves the honor..

Angelina Jolie Awarded Damehood By UK—Supreme Beingship To Follow!

Posted by Joanne Wolf on 06/13/2014 at 7:28 PM

In a surprise move that is nearly unprecedented, Angelina Jolie has been made a Dame by British Foreign Secretary William Hague. The adoring Hague, who has worked closely with Jolie in London in an international conference about sexual violence against women, raised eyebrows in bestowing an award usually reserved for a lifetime of service.
While critics complain that the award normally follows a lower honor, such as an OBE or CBE, Ms Jolie was pleased by the recognition for her efforts in foreign policy, saying this work is “what I wish to dedicate my working life to.” Of course by this she means, after she’s through being Cleopatra and whatever else is on the table, acting-wise.
Who are we to judge this monument of womanhood, anyway? The old adage on female perfection, ‘***** in the bedroom, Lady in the living room’ will now be augmented with ‘Dame in the UK.’ Once again, Ms. Jolie has raised the bar for the rest of us.
With Brad at her side, Angelina seems to have taken London by storm with her regal appearances and prim costume changes, speaking to rooms full of dignitaries and giving stately interviews to Ronan Farrow et al.
It is the World Leader Angie, rather than the Earth Mother Angie or Red Carpet Angie, that seems to bring out the best or worst in Ms Jolie, depending on your personal frame of reference.
We may as well sit back and enjoy her. Let the Queen worry about Angie’s hi-jinx for the time being!

#Observer2 @ 06/13/2014 at 7:33 pm
Thanks O2 for that short Video of Brad taking photo’s that’ so sweet.

@British: They can criticize until the cows come home, Anglina Jolie was given the honor of Dame by the Queen of England. Stay pressed British, there is nothing you can do about it, lol.

Backlash on the skeleton

#British @ 06/13/2014 at 7:49 pm
Hey MANISTON TROLL, no matter which way you twist and turn this pretzel, Angelina Jolie has many feathers in her cap Oscar Winner, UNHCR Special Envoy to name the least and now she also will forever be known as Dame Angelina Jolie got it! Now bow down Bytch and stop moaning.

So William Hague proposed for dumb Angelina. no wonder. LOL.

Dame Momgelina!

Waving to all fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Luckily for Ticky it didn’t matter where she was born. She has the title of Biggest Dirt Bag…no honorary needed.

@Phool.: That was one time she referred to Brad as her husband. The other time was a few weeks ago she said, “My Husband Brad is ….” And FYI posted it. Don’t tell me you did not see that video my sister. Phool, I hear the roar coming from the ocean, someone is having a nervous breakdown, let’s hope it’s the blessed one, Luz, Joe tamshitt having a break from reality.. OMG, Im having a really good night.

Love her to death! congratulations proud to be you’r fan

Dame Angelina is the queen of Hollywood. there is really nobody else like her , man or woman. She is setting the bar too high for them. Lmao

What a birthday present for her.

I was LOL at the point where she got the Tourism Minister involved to get Brad over to NZ

Former political opponents get together for a good cause
10:37 AM Saturday Jun 14, 2014

Former political adversaries Judith Collins and Helen Clark have come together in London for a “great catch-up” over lunch and a worthy cause – the Angelina Jolie-led international bid to stamp out rape in military conflicts.
Justice Minister Ms Collins spoke at the final day of the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict in London this week, an initiative spearheaded by the British Government and film star Jolie, who is Special Envoy for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
Helen Clark, a former Labour prime minister now administrator of the United Nations Development Programme, was also present.”She came over and we had lunch together and it was great to catch up”, Ms Collins said last night.
“She was obviously very supportive of what we’re doing around the [New Zealand bid for a place on the] Security Council and really supportive of the interest in the work we’re doing around the conference itself in terms of trying to rid the world of sexual violence in conflicts.”
Over dinner later Ms Collins had the opportunity to chat with Jolie and her fiance Brad Pitt with whom she had a “nice little chat”.
“I initially said to him ‘you wouldn’t be interested in coming and doing a movie here would you?’
The Hollywood A-lister told her he was keen to do a motorcycle tour of New Zealand. “I, of course, alerted the Minister of Tourism – John Key. He thought it was a great idea too.”
Ms Collins tweeted pictures of herself with the couple, the first time she has used the social media network after a self-imposed ban a month ago after she used it to wrongly accuse Press Gallery reporter Katie Bradford of seeking her intervention in a personal matter.
While in the UK Ms Collins has also met a series of ministers including Home Secretary Theresa May, Attorney-General Dominic Grieve, and Minister of Justice Chris Grayling.
The agenda for talks has included issues around crime prevention, particularly around domestic and sexual violence and “Clare’s Law” or the Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme put in place in Britain after the murder of Clare Wood by her former boyfriend in 2009.

it seems that Dame Angelina Jolie wont joint the club of the + 200M ladies Club.

@Susan: Sorry, I have to practice saying Dame Angelina Jolie. good times.

Yes there will, they hold it at Buckingham Palace.

I bet next time Daniel Day Lewis will meet Angie is when he’s a Sir & She’s a Dame, I can see that big smile on his face, and he always gets giddy around Angie. I remember was it at Golden Globes or SAG’s where he was practically talking to her pregnancy boobs, and Brad was all over her marking his territory LOL.

@the numbers: Stop counting your chickens before they hatched. Come back on Monday with your prediction..

@the numbers:

again the trolls having a party way too early.. lol

#Rose @ 06/13/2014 at 8:07 pm
i haven’t seen the FYI video, but have seen the BBC interview she did yesterday where the reporter clearly said it and she clearly refered back to her the H word. I will leave it at that before eruptions start lol.
Susan is right yiu need to address Angie properly now get used to it Girl Angie is Brads Dame.

#marisol @ 06/13/2014 at 8:20 pm
Your’e Welcome, you can join in any time the more the merrier.

Its getting late , I got to sleep, bye God Bless.
PS don’t forget to close the Windows you don’t want to hear MANiston Trolls Screaming in the Ocean now do you LOL.

You really don’t get it do you? No Angelina cannot use the title “Dame” in front of her name but that is not the point. The point is that she is the first American born Actress to be honored in this way by the Queen of Great Britain. Now take your jealousy elsewhere please.

So great that Brad was taking pictures- he is SO PROUD of his sweet Angie, or should I say Dame Angie!!

@marisol: Just keep reading the fans comments, especially Phool, Passing Through, CLINIQUA, QQQQ, Susan, Wonderbust, Observer 2, Anustin, Dawne, Busted, Awhodat, are just a few of the fans with great knowledge about the Jolie Pitts…. you will learn a lot from Their fans. Take care.

hey Rose
I saw that interview. The woman said something to Angie about her Husband being there to support and Angie agreed. I like that she didn’t correct it but went with it. So it seems to be how they are going to refer to each other. I have not complaints.

groundcontrol @ 06/13/2014 at 8:35 pm

LOL! Oh these poor dears. You have so hit a nerve. Lots of nerves.
I hope they don’t all hurt themselves too badly with all this thrashing around.

CONGRATULATION Angelina, you are worthy for the recognition, you have devoted endless time trying to make it right, I am very happy that your knight Brad was standing hand in hand with you, for support, your family will very happy to hear the news. GOD BLESS THE JOLIE PITTS AND FAMILY AND AGAIN CONGRATULATION.

congrats to Angie, but I prefer queen Angelina, she is the queen, she is better than Queen Elizabeth. Angie is the best human being, same is Brad.

Dame Angelina Jolie always makes us all proud!:D
ummmm so what’s next?? Nobel Peace Prize?? Hehehe
cant stop laughing at the canonization comment from
the previous thread just to pissed off the trollolololololos!!! Hahahahahaha

Brad Pitt @ 06/13/2014 at 8:50 pm

The fact that she wrote (with the help of other writers) a letter because she had a boob job is one of the biggest jokes of the past 10 years!!

@Phool, @Busted,

On May 15 while doing an interview for Maleficent this is what Angelina Jolie says: “I feel very fortunate, there are so many mothers who don’t have the ability I do to work and then have time off or take turns with their partners. ‘I HAVE A GREAT HUSBAND IN BRAD’”. she says. You can look it up. I can’t believe you all never read that quote.

Brad Pitt @ 06/13/2014 at 9:00 pm

if we did not idolise celebrities so much and make them so wealthy, the problems of the world would be solved. sick and tired of people of privilege shouting the odds. with their money they could cure poverty overnight! what a bunch of attention seeking pieces of sh@@!

ah! let me laugh, what A JOKE!

Now I’ve heard everything. It’ll be Dame Kardashian next.

To all those Jolie fans there are hundreds of women more worthy than this attention seeker will ever be. It’s all publicity to her and nothing else. When she has given what the likes of mother Theresa gave then she might be worth it. Until then she should stick to acting. Oh wait that is what she is doing at the sumit isn’t it

L'inverse @ 06/13/2014 at 9:05 pm

This is an utter disgrace.
What on earth has Angelina or her work to do with Britain?
how pathetic giving an award to a rich piece a of trash only interested in promoting themselves! She adopted all those kids to get promotions….and then doesn’t spend any time with them.

Wonderbust @ 06/13/2014 at 9:05 pm

@the numbers:
Poor troll do you want a repeat of last week. You rejoice way too early.

Biritish men @ 06/13/2014 at 9:06 pm

the Pitt/Jolie couple have zero influence on the world ; they are from Hollywood, not the real world.

Does she not know that nowadays most British people don’t consider an honour to be as such because so many are bought from politicians by spiv businessmen. It’s considered class to turn one down.

@Phool and Busted, you can see that quote at “entertainment” go to May 15, 2014.

=#175, Why are you worried about the fans at this site. Now go to all the other gossip sites on the Internet and post the same comment you are posting here. Please leave them with your words of wisdom. Take care.

Marie-Antoinette @ 06/13/2014 at 9:07 pm

Well, as an American this just made me realize the British honor system is a complete joke.
She gave them money and BOUGHT that title!

This is beyond ridiculous!
Fvcking bad joke of a plastic woman!

@Brad Pitt:

So unoriginal Tampax. Man..

troll meltdown @ 06/13/2014 at 9:09 pm

Year 10- troll is in pain, day after day, night after night, for thousands upon thousands of days and nights. Troll is a failure- Brad still love Angie and Angie still loves Brad. And it is certain that there is more pain to come for the troll!

The truth @ 06/13/2014 at 9:10 pm

This woman thinks she’s headed for the White House – in all seriousness – hence the little seemingly casual but all so carefully planned reference to “not thinking she would be taken seriously enough to be effective as a politician” comment she made in an interview a matter of weeks ago. If she thinks she can cover up the serious skeletons she still has lurking in her closet though she will be sadly mistaken. The truth will out Angie!

This one troll is having a meltdown. Keep posting with a hundred monikers and it’s still only one of you Sybil. Ms Angelina Jolie Pitt is still Dame Angelina. Good times.

Jolie iconic @ 06/13/2014 at 9:13 pm

@Marie-Antoinette: lmao of course that has to be it. Dame Jolie works hard for other people. You should be happy that a woman on her level of fame is doing her part for the world.

OBSERVER!! @ 06/13/2014 at 9:16 pm

Passing Through @ 06/13/2014 at 9:16 pm

Congratulations to Angie on a great honor! I saw this news as I was leaving work. In the last 8 months she’s gotten the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award and been named an Honorary Dame by the British government in recognition of her humanitarian work. Kickin’ ass and takin’ names! Meanwhile…TamWRONGKo continues being WRONG about everything. Ain’t it ironic how the universe sometimes rights itself? LOL!

Stanley cup @ 06/13/2014 at 9:17 pm

She’s one truly odd critter….endlessly fawned over by a gullible public.

I am fed up with celebrities getting recognition for a few public appearances to make themselves look good

Jolie and Pitt are nothing but self-aggrandizing, attention-seekers. Tinseltown talk-the-talkers.

She’s got what she wants then, it was all about her all along. Abolish the honours list now if this is what it’s come down to, She makes me feel sick.

Gorgeous JPs @ 06/13/2014 at 9:19 pm

Congrats, Angie- well-deserved!

This is the end. Can there be a more nauseatingly irritating woman in the world?
Pretty sickening narcissm.
These ‘awards’ get cheaper by the minute.

Hahhahaha @ 06/13/2014 at 9:20 pm

My word, her face is looking so gaunt – that’s what happens when you have every ounce of fat surgically removed from the cheeks and chin – nothing to bolster the face now, what will it look like in 10 years? Her lower jaw seems to protrude too far now. There is a price to pay for ‘perfection’ in youth – weird looking old people!

“Let the dogs bark, Sancho. It’s a sign that we are on track” – Miguel de Cervantes , Don Quixote.

This honor bestowed upon AJ is like salt on slugs (trolls).

hahaha this is AJ’s karma. Suck it.

I think a few of the DUHLISTERS and FREAKS are here..

Nobody here cares what you losers think.. Angie got it so deal.

@hmmm: Its one person having a meltdown. Life is good!

Love love the trolls’ meltdown. I could visualize them foaming at the mouth at this latest honor for Angelina. Hahaha. Jealousy must be eating at them. Love it.

Alright… time for her to shop for new babies.

Greetings to all my darlings. Phool, my Lady Rose, my dearest Gold Dust Woman and the unflappable, darling of all darlings FALP.
Phool, we must petition the Queen for a Knighthood for you.
You, too, have been Fierce and Fearlessly posting such wonderful and amazing articles for us fans to feed upon. What a delicious smorgasboard you lay out for us every single day. And the greedy, stupid, uncouth troll who has no table manners whatsoever drags his/her/its filthy self into our home to gorge itself at our overly generous, beautifully set table of goodies, wiping it filthy paws on our clean linen and then gawllishly complains about the meal.
Well, we, of impeccable manners and kindness, pay it no heed and allows that dog to feed on the crumbs that fall from our well stocked table because we have taken pity on it. Well it is now time to throw that beast out of our house and into the pig stye where it belongs.
I truly hope the fans will no longer deign to respond to its inane and senseless posts when it plants itself in our midsts to try an join our conversations. Fraternizing with and communicating with that disgusting fiend w/o a face but with many stupid names is not worth our time. Plus….Dame Angelina JoliePitt deserves only the best.
Let us not let that one Pig of a troll share in our rejoicing. I hope we will ignore it. Whatever it says is meaningless. Flag it, report it and keep the JoliePitt JOY in our JoliePitt house! :)
Love you, darling….and you are so very precious, I know, to all of us fans.

I’m not one for “titles” and royalty in this day and age but congratulations to Angie. Honorary Dame has a nice ring to it lol.

By the way Susan, I like to watch the games on Univison, the latino channel. The sports announcers are much more enthusiastic, makes the game more exciting even if I don’t know what they’re saying. I love to hear them say GOOOOAAAALLL lmao!

Spain got crushed, what a shocker!!

Good night all.

Hello to my very, very special and such a sweetheart, Gold Dust Woman.
Where do I begin my dear friend? I have been reading the other threads that I missed because I have not been able to come on line for a couple of days and I came upon several of your posts you so graciously shared with us JP fans.
What a truly wonderful Blessing you are to all of us Gold Dust Woman. How kind of you to remember us and regale us and share with us your amazing adventures at the Summit.
I hope you don’t mind, but I had to copy and save some of your posts to read over and over when I have some time. You were actually there on the premises witnessing all that was going on and you were able to get close enough to get a good gander at La JoliePitt. OMG!!!!. Reading your posts, and because you are such a wonderful an entertaining writer…and I was sending up a multitude of thanksgivings for you….I felt I was there seeing everything thru your eyes. And now that I have them at my beck and call I can relive your wonderful experience again and again.
The words, “Thank you so much,” just seems or seem to lack the gravitas needed to convey to you how deep my gratitude is to you Gold Dust Woman.
And what was this about maybe you and Phool meeting up in Cannes???? OMG!!! You know Rose, FALP, Passing Through, GroundControl, Lylian, Observer 2, Cliniqua, Busted, AWHODAT, Dawne, Jaye, Bea and ALL the fans too numerous to name will have to be there too. We are Family on this thread and where one goes we all must go too. :) Gotta keep the “Brood” together….as Mr. Gorgeous JoliePitt would say.
You know, GDW, I had the deepest feeling in my being that Angelina was going to get “Knighted” by the Queen and when I came home late today and checked the news and saw she had been “Knighted” I was thrilled beyond words. I think my family thought something was wrong with me because al I could say is “YES!!! YES!!! YES!!!! It HAD to happen.
GDW what an honor the Queen herself must have felt including Angelina’s name to her recognition for special Award. I love the Queen. She, too, has been and continues to be a Fierce and Formidable and Fearless leader. She was born to be Queen and I marvel at how all the circumstances rearranged to put her in the position she has held for decades now. God bless her. She is so sweet and loving and kind and wise and a true “mum.”
Well I must not wear you out and wear out my welcome in your space. You have been more than gracious and patient with me.
I leave as I came in. Thanking you for your many kindnesses to us fans. You are our eyes in Europe. Thank you gracious lady and dear friend. Blessings cover you everywhere you go.

So proud of our Dame Angelina, always knew she was royalty. May all victims of rape benefit from this summit and all the violent rapists have a light shined on them….it is the rapist’s shame.
I have read too many comments apparently made by U.S. citizens and/or soldiers saying …well, good luck with is part of the war. Tells me much about our military. Might be why our own women in the military have suffered in silence for so long… it time to end it.

Applauding your post! So well said!

Hello to my Lady Rose. What a kind hearted spirit you have Rose. You never cease to amaze me. How you can dish out the spanking the troll needs all the while caring for its mental health disseminating to its sick mind what medications would help it in its time of need and what it needs to do and should take to regain its mental health. You are a marvel. You belong to that formidable group “Doctors without borders.” Your kindness follows you every where no matter the need.
I hope us fans will start ignoring that hate-filled troll, Rose. She, he, it, is one lonely soul looking for “attention” on every JP thread. She, he, it has been repeating the same nonsense for as long as can be remembered. Nothing said to it helps it to stop its insane ranting because it does not want to stop. It is loving all the words spoken to it because those words “validate” it and gives it a reason to keep its hate going. The troll’s hate gets stronger and stronger with each conversation a JP fan has with it.
Whoever said. “Don’t Feed the Troll” gave us the answer to rid the thread of trolls.
But I understand sometimes it is hard to let something hateful the troll has said pass some of us by. I do not wish to tell any fan what to do. It is a fan’s prerogative to respond how they want to and if he/or she wishes to. I loved how BDJ would always put the troll down and in its place by making such great comments without addressing the troll directly. Saying that….I do thank the fans who do spend time correcting the Troll’s lies because many new fans come on board and do need to know the troll is lying.
What a conundrum huh? :)
Rose we are all rejoicing today right? Dame Angelina….somehow I KNEW that was coming. Angelina is a “Powerhouse” as assistant said in Australia. And Brad IS an Amazing man. How proud he must be, Rose of his “other worldly beautiful” wife. Uh oh….now I am in trouble Rose. I keep calling them husband and wife. And I know you do to sometimes so I feel I am in pretty good company with my friend Rose.
Thanks again for the juice recipe, Rose..I love how it makes me so energized every day.
We will talk again soon. Have a lovely Saturday my darling friend.

What a great honor! Hail, Dame Angelina Jolie! Brad must be bursting with pride. I am so happy for her !

You know Ticky’s gotta be pissed. She planned to drop that Dumbwater ad just as the PSVI was winding down thinking Angie couldn’t possibly have a topper. WRONG! Ticky might just as well be TamWRONGKo. LOL!
Honorary Dame vs. Oats ‘n’ weaves ‘n’ water ‘n’ stuff. TOTAL. COMEDY. FVCKING. GOLD.

Again….I’m soooo dead….MIA for most of the day….
.OMG!!!! Angie is being recognized as the honorary dame by queen Elizabeth!!!! Such an honor and well deserved I might add…Dame Angelina Jolie…I like the sound of that…
Again…the trolls are out in just gotta love it…they’re been playing a losing game 10 yrs and counting…Gosh it feels good to be on a winning team…the Jolie Pitt that is..
Congrats to Angie and William Hague for a job well done at the summit…
To see Brad there to support his woman is an example of what loving couple do…
2014 has shaped to be Angelina Jolie year…the box office hit of Maleficent….the success of the summit…an honorary dame title…and of course Unbroken to finish it off…
Thanks Phool as always for bringing us all the latest…and shout out to Rose and JP fans…
What a wonderful week for us fans…wish everyone a great weekend!!!!

Love the JoliePitts @ 06/14/2014 at 12:05 am

Hi FALP, what do you think of this amazing day my friend?
Dame Angelina…..what a beautiful sound that is. It is musical, and lyrical and poetic and hits all the right tones. Now, all we need is for Brad to be Knighted and become a “Sir.”
What a lovely couple they are, FALP and the experiences Brad and Angelina are having as a family make for a continuously beautiful love story. I see so many more beautiful, unexpected, amazingly incredible blessings lined up waiting to be bestowed upon this Loving Couple and all their children as long as this family shares this earth with us. What a unique couple they truly are.
As you can tell FALP…… in your very perceptive and uncanny analytical way…..I am extremely happy for the JoliePitt family. And I am rejoicing because even more wonderful and beautiful and loving and happy surprises await them. God bless their Love for each other as it continues to grow more deeply and sweetly as they love each other thru many, many, many lifetimes. Them and their children together.
Well FALP. No rain yet, but the weather has been awesome. Cool and balml and oh so pleasant.
I hope your rain barrels are continuing to be replenished. Mine, if I had any, would be consistently bone dry. We hear rain is expected but not a drop in so many months. But I think the cool weather is a God send because otherwise the bright, and very hot sun would have dried everything to a crisp.
All things work for Good huh FALP. And I can hear you giving me such good advice right about now, my dear friend. YOU are the Maya Angelou of these JP threads to all of us fans and we LOVE you for who you are. Never change my darling. You are truly a jewel and a blessing to all of us on these threads.
The trolls can’t understand or appreciate anything you say because you are too logical and make too much sense.
The simple truth is too profound too complex to the willingly insane. The troll has willed itself to have a twisted, confused, befuddled and completely hate filled mind. It revels in its insanity and calls to us to join it in its convoluted, upside down, mixed up boggled filthy “thinking.”
It is amazing how it can remain so twisted when so much wisdom is shared by so many on these JP threads. But I have come to the conclusion it has chosen to be insane. It loves to hate and hates to love and every good thing it sees as evil.
Its mind’s eye cannot see beauty, truth or Love. Where we see beauty and loveliness it sees ugliness and wretchedness because its eyes want only to see ugliness. What a sad, dark, wretched world it has created for itself to dwell in. I leave it to its madness in hope it will find its way out of insanity and one day be at peace.
Right now I cannot stop rejoicing over the fantastic news about Mrs. JoliePitt’s Knighthood. What do you think FALP. You know I am always all ears to read your remarks.
Well, I must go to bed. I am exhausted….that is why I can hardly speak decent English today. I beg your forgiveness, my darling Wordsmith, for my clumsy and probably confusing post……and disjointed ramblings.
Have a wonderful day and a great weekend….take care and blessings walk with you always my friend. And with our beloved JoliePitt family.

@BH: Well, we have been saying Angie was royalty all along, and now it’s official, and the trolls are going crazier by the minute, what’s not to love. I, too, bet Brad is bursting with pride, he’s always said Angie is elegant and regal, how right he was, I bet the family is giving her lots of curtsies and bows, tonight, they will have so much to proud of about their parents when they’re old enough to understand all the good Brad and Angie have done in this world.
On another note, my almost 5 year old went to see Maleficent tonight with her best friend from pre-school. I was kind of disappointed, I wanted to be the one to take her since I knew she wouldn’t be scared when I saw it, but, I’ve been really busy, and she and her friend have seen all the Disney movies together at least once. Well, to make a long story short, she came home and announced that she was now to addressed as Maleficent. She loved it, she said it was better than Frozen, which we saw about 5 times before it came out on VOD and I bought it. So, I have very strong feeling we’ll be seeing Maleficent together very soon.

Passing Through @ 06/14/2014 at 12:24 am

You know how the trolls are always ragging on Brad for dropping out of movies he was never going to do in the first place? Well, how come they’re not shittting all over Daniel Craig for dropping a movie just 5 days before it was supposed to start shooting? I was at Deadline looking for the weekend BO numbers and saw a story saying Keanu Reeves had replaced Daniel Craig in a movie and wonder HTF that could be possible. On what planet are Daniel Craig and Keanu Reeves interchangable? Whatevs…the point is – Craig bailed on an indie film and no one knows why. It was supposed to film in mid-April and was put on hold for over 2 months. I wonder how much money he cost the producers?
The scary thing here is…Keanu Reeves will be attempting to do a southern accent. I guess he figures if Matt McConaughey can suddenly learn to act and win an Oscar, then so can he…

Love the JoliePitts @ 06/14/2014 at 12:26 am

Good night to all the wonderful fans…Please forgive all my errors in my posts.
I am right now toasting Brad and Angelina with a glass of their delicious Miraval Rose wine…….no, I am not toasted….or roasted… :)
I wonder if the JoliePitts can add a Crown to their insignia on the bottle? Is there some symbol that can show “Dame” or “Knighthood” on a bottle of wine?
Have a wonderful weekend all.

*clap clap clap* Brad and Dame Angie are truly blessed…
i remember i was only 12 when i first saw Tomb Raider,
I didn’t knew her name but admired her instantly bcoz
she’s just something else and thought that she’s special…
She’s the first HW celeb I admired (actually, there are only
2 HW celebs i admire, Brad and Dame Angie lololol),
I didn’t knew that she was in a serious relationship with
Brad or that she has children or that she’s working with
the UNHCR until i started collecting magazines with her
on the cover….
And now, years later I’m so happy and proud coz
I admire a very genuine and a very beautiful woman
(i’m not even talking about her face….) Her transformation,
her career, her dedication, her strength and courage,
her family, her beauty…. everything about her is
admirable… it seems that she’s living a perfect life
that I still doubt that she really exists hahaha..
She’s the right person to look up to and I know a lot of teens
like me who totally admire her…. I even made my younger
brother and sister love the JPs… :D
And yeah, I walked in our library yesterday and saw a very
large poster with a tagline “WOMEN OF THE WORLD” of
course Dame Angie’s one of the great women along
with Mother Theresa, Oprah, Princess Diana, Sen.
Miriam Santiago, Pres. Cory Aquino, etc….btw, she’s
very pretty even wearing a UN white shirt….
and for the record, the other day I watched Maleficent
for the 6th time and now I’m so broke hahahahaha
God bless. :)

Check out the box office, Maleficent seems to be holding well. The early numbers didn’t mention Maleficent because they usually only mention the new movies and the last weeks holdovers. This is maleficent s 3rd weekend.

I meant Deadline’s prediction, not B.O.Mojo, who won’t update their weekend #’s until noon tomorrow.

Thanks Shar for the CORRECT box office figs. Lol SLAY *DAME* ANGELINA SLAY.

Those figures are from Deadline not Boxofficemojo. They don’t do estimates like this. They only report the daily numbers and a weekend total estimate on Sunday.
Regardless…the troll was of course WRONG. Dragon 2 didn’t even open as big as Maleficent, which is comical since according to the trolls it’s much higher RT score should have translated into a $215 MILLION opening weekend. BBBBBWWWWWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAA!!! Dame Angie > Buttlerfinger.

DAME ANGELINA JOLIE. How do you like it, trolls?
Hahaha, you are right, Cliniqua, the Queen of England is not a Girls’ Girl. Love the Queen.

# 250 Shar @ 06/14/2014 at 1:28 am
Just saw your correction that it’s Deadline’s numbers and not BOM. Anyway you slice it and dice it – the troll was wrong, wrong, wrong. I posted an prediction yesterday that Maleficent would only fall 45% this weekend and do about $19MIL and that’s exactly what Deadline is reporting. THe trolls just never learn…

@Shar: So Maleficent will surpass Snow White domestic gross tomorrow. Poor Charlize HaHaHa It only took two weeks.

Somewhere…Oprah is hearing this and trying to figure out how she can be next. Calling up every brit friend she thinks she has. Lolol
Somewhere. .George Clooney is calling off his engagement to Amal, reportedly he was overheard to say: “Dannmnit Brad!! Ok I give up, you win….there are no other Angelina’s in the world. It’s back to bimbos for me!” Lolol

@Passing Through:

It’s amazing how anytime one thinks Box Office, Mojo is right behind it, lol.
But yeah, that troll did the best disappearing act once the factual B.O. weekend numbers started coming out.

And for her to quote Variety, who usually quotes, and didn’t even have any info besides the top 2 newcomers, thus no Maleficent news in their report. Variety is always behind, who’s behind, who’s behind when it comes to B.O. weekend #’s. So of course her fourth rated info wasn’t going to be accurate, lol

Man, I still remember going to see Snow White when it came out…big mistake! Between Charlize annoying screams, and Kirsten’s constipated acting, i bailed half way through that train wreck of a movie. Almost all of the audiences in the packed theater ended up texting/surfing the web on their phone that no one was complaining about us using our phones. Yeah, the movie was that awful.

@Shar: Thanks you made me laugh ,Kirsten’s costipated acting hahahahahaha

Congratulations Ange!! Glad to see you getting all the recognition you deserve!!

Well, Hicky will drop the trailer for that Nutter Butter movie to PEOPLE and no one will care. Just like they didn’t care about the movie that it was a crime that it got made. Just like no one cares about Crack is Whack.

It will be accompanied by Peter B.’s comments about how Ticky made him cry and it’s a role that no one has seen her play before. Oh and something about Ticky and Tacky.

She’s blown her wad with her new ads, unless she’s going to dip into the old well of her failed stink water.

Ticky is like Tommy Boy her co-stars and directors are contractually obligated to blow smoke up her butt, until the movie comes out and they’re never heard from again. LOL.

Very very proud to be your fan as always!!

how much Paltrow, from high society, must be fuming right now!!??

“I want to come and go, I want to fill your tank. I would like to reincarnate as your tampon – said the prince to Camilla. Charles intimate telephone conversation recorded the secret service, in 1993, leaked to the tabloids. Camillagate broke. Charles became the laughing stock of the United Kingdom, and half the world. – You have no shame – he shouted to Charles a Londoner from the East End, the heir to the throne dared for the first out of the palace after Camillagate. “Pornoprince” – taunted Italian newspaper “L’Indipendente”. The British began to call tampons Charlie.”

Typical. More blatant racism and classism by your former colonial masters. Let’s honour an über rich, hot, white privileged, able bodied, woman who decides to spend her leisure time swanning around third world countries with more security than royalty looking concerned about brown people. But good grief there is no way on earth would we bestow such an honour on lesser known, lesser physically blessed women of a darker hue, who are risking their lives on the front lines to save others everyday with little or no security. Good grief no. They’re not hot and they’re not white so who cares about them. Shame on all of you for showing such embarrassing ignorance by praising this appallingly privileged women for doing something any decent human being with half a brain would do, if they had as much obscene wealth as her. Shame on you.

Is this true?
Someone wrote this on another forum
“Turns out that Angelina Jolie, DBE is the first American woman period to be awarded with an honorary Dame title. Unbelievable.”

If it is true that is so impressive. Angelina is an icon.

“!Yesterday the Jolie and Foreign Secretary William Hague were invited to Clarence House for a private meeting with Camilla to discuss the campaign. So that’s the royal who was assigned to the summit. Which…I mean fine. Camilla is senior, sure. It’s an appropriate level of respect. But come on. This isn’t the high profile photo opportunity. It’s Camilla. “When Camilla met Angelina” is not the same as the headline “When Kate met Angelina”. Or “When Harry met Angelina”.”

to tampons in same rum

It’s total b/s. She only got the gong, because that ineffectual celebrity sycophant and poor excuse for a British Foreign Secretary, William Hague likes telling his posh Tory friends that he knows Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. They’re just pretty HW oddities for the British elite to stare at and laugh about over their fancy dinner parties.

It is jealousy and meltdown time for the haters and I am loving every minute of their rants. It would be so easy for them to ease their pain. Just recognize the phoney that is Ticky snd get over 10 years of delusion snd come in to the light that is Angie.

OT, OT :

ladies, this is what I was referring to yesterday:
Entertain May 15, 2014.

While being interviewed for the movie Maleficent, this is what Angie said.

“I HAVE A GREAT HUSBAND”: did Angelina Jolie reveal she’s secretly married to Brad Pitt?

Angelina Jolie has sparked speculation she’s married Brad Pitt after she referred to the Star as her “husband” in an interview…. “I feel fortunate, there are so many mothers who don’t have the ability I do to work and then have time off or to take turns with their partners. I HAVE A GREAT HUSBAND IN BRAD,” she said.

There is also a video of this interview with her calling Brad her “husband”.
FYI had posted the video around that time. Sorry I don’t remember on what thread. I can’t believe you two ladies missed that interview and the video.

@ Truthy

Oh please. Stop showing your ignorance with your utterly adolescent puerile attempt to defend the indefensible. Any one with any sense knows that there are far more deserving people who should be recipients of this kind of recognition, for not only saving the lives of those in war torn countries, but through their hard work and diligence and sometime the sacrifice of their own lives, saved western countries from more terrorist attacks, but hey you don’t give two figs about them because they ain’t Angelina Jolie, and if anyone dares to point that out, then of course they must be jealous. What a pathetically tragic conclusion.

@@be: It’s too early for this ranting. Fine, you don’t like that Angelina Jolie, you don’t have to. You don’t have to seek out her thread to vent your frustration. It’s a fact Angelina was honored with the title Dame, by the sitting Queen of England. Now stop reading about Angelina Jolie. You know you do have options, one is, go and find a Jennifer Anniston’s thread and read about her hair and her beauty regiment, Aveeno, bottle water and her not so banging body. At least they stop using the term banging body when referring to her. Remember, don’t read about Angelina Jolie it will make you crazy. Now hop along over to the other thread with JA as the heading, and have a great Day.

It’s never too early to put out unfairness and inequality. If you don’t like my opinions tough. This site is not your personal reserve. So sit down.

@@be: You are so right, and thats my opinion, and if you don’t like it tough. Now stop torturing yourself about someone you don’t know, don’t like. You are existing your time here, the fans don’t care what you have to say. And that’s my opinion. Bye !!. Don’t reply, I’m done with you for the day.

Good morning J-P fans.
@Rose, Good morning, better weather today, that was some weather system yesterday.
I hope Dame Angelina is resting, but with children it is hard to do.
I’m getting such a kick out of putting the Dame before her name, knowing it is driving tampon crazier, he ran out of names and is using yes and no now.
Life is good, Soccer is King, have a great day.

@Susan: Good morning Susan. You and me both, we are a getting a kick watching the meltdown. I’m sure Dame Angie must be exhausted. We know how hard it is to throw a house party making sure everyone is having a good time and I can just imagine how much Angie and William H Nd staff were under to make sure this summit was a success and it was. Can you imagine if it was not how Dame Angie would have been blamed. Susan, when the nutter ran out of names/monikers it called on Liz to come out. There is this one fan who was calling Liz, lizard that must have burned the Lizard to a crisp, lol. Susan, I have a feeling all the children were with them in London. We know they have their ways to go under cover.

Susan, do you remember when Diane Sawyers was interviewing Brad and she was asking him if Angelina broke up his marriage and he answered “No” And he said it was “A Good Story” and then he called Dame Angelina “A Good Egg”, he was so right about Dame Angelina. Now for the people who are not blinded by hate or jealousy, they too can can see why he fell in love with her. Dame Angelina has a heart as beautiful as her outside.

@the numbers: #151

Where you at..

Where you at now

come on out little troll.. You were partying it up last night..see what your tiny head never gets is don’t celebrate too early.. Don’t pop that cork too soon.

Maleficent has been #2 all week. And just a few hundred thousands behind TFIOS. It has beat out EOT every single day. Now how do you think it would drop that badly.

SLAY IT ANGIE.. and shove it up the trolls ass#s

What Children? oh the ones she left home alone with the nanies 8 days ago. Why you idiots think she is a regular mother? she isnt. she travels and lets 4 of her children for more then 8 days with 4 or 5 nanies. Is that being a mother. There isnt a single HW kid that knows what is to a have a normal mother.

Ticky fans are so upset they can’t even comment on her thread. They hang here gushing over Angie.

Clean up in Isle #290, troll is having a melt down. Clean up Isle #290, troll is looooosing her one brain cell. Dame Angelina Jolie Pitt is slaying and squashing the rodent in Isle #290, lolololol.

Ahhh Rosie, Rosie, Rosie, there you go again showing your ignorance. You are obviously not too bright are you. This is NOT a fan site. It’s an entertainment news website where people are encouraged to make comments – be they good, bad or indifferent- about the stories. Do you understand that now. Wait before you reply, because I know you’re a little slow and you’ll only post another comment that will make you sound even more ignorant. So take a few days to grasp this simple concept. If you want to write peans to Ms Jolie’s successes, I suggest YOU go to one of her numerous fan sites and knock yourself out, or may you could set up you own fan site, because right now honey you’re in the wrong place.

get a life. Go clean your house. Get a men to f*****CK hard beacuse you need some distraction gurl.

well said . This is not a fan site. If she want to hear just good things about Dame Jolie she better go to a fan site.

@Susan: Did you see KK on the top of the page showing her entire breasts at some concert where KW was playing. Can you imaging how tamshitt is going to react to this? She showed her entire breast, including nipples. You know nipples drives the nutter insane, lol. My bad, it’s just Dame Angie’s nipples, even when it cannot be seen, just the idea it’s there, drives the moron insane.

DAME Jolie doesnt have nipples and breasts. She has but they are fake.

@resting: That’s your problem, you are resting while living in a pigs sty. You know I clean my house every Saturday morning because you hear me talk about the reason for getting up so early. Now what’s your excuse for being up and reading fans comments when obviously you are a troll. I’m sure you are “resting” in the filth you have accumulated in that stink basement while “resting”. I understand, Tickys thread is just as boring is she is. Her fans refused to be seen over there. The stalkers prefers Dame Angelina’s thread and who can blame them.

You comment speaks volumes of the sub human you are. Your attempt to be negative towards Angie always hit millions of women that have had to make that difficult decision. because of cancer or the fear of it.

Nicole Kidman was showing off her new pair, maybe they made the dress to her old measurements, because it was covering a third of her breasts.

Dame Angelina and Brad with the kiddies will probably go on vacation, wonder how many guest you’re allowed for the ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
Prince Charles do a lot of the ceremonies now, so chances are, it will be him instead of the Queen.
I had to laugh at Lamey and Kaiser, thinking this is the first British Royal, Dame Angelina met.
An interviewer was asking her who she could not reach by phone, and was throwing out names, Prince Charles being one of the names, and she said yes, she could reach him by phone.
Hague said Dame Angelina could reach people that won’t speak to governments, Secretary of State Kerry called Fierce and Fearless, who you rather listen to.
Chat later.

Oh wow, what a great honor. What wonderful recognition for Angelina and the work she’s so committed to. Congratulations to Angelina…sorry I mean DAME Angelina. I’m sure Brad is proud as a peacock like he always is of her.

@busted: Well said Busted, #308. I was about to reply to that moron but I thought you can’t. Fix stupid.

@Susan: Wasn’t that a beautiful complement Sec Kerry gave to our girl.
Susan, re KK : what is wrong with that woman, don’t she understands she is a mother now. I saw where KW saying he likes stupid girls. I guess he found the perfect one.
Susan, The morons will never learn. We have told them time and again, stop making false predictions about Brad and Dame Angelina because they always end up with egg on their faces, eg Maleficent’s weekend prediction.
I’m convinced, lamey and Kaiser they will write anything to get them hits on their blog. It’s all about the money. They have to pay the mortgage and car notes.
Susan, I bet Brad is going to have a big celebration for both of Dame Angelina’s accomplishments this week.

oH I saw those too.. I think I was commenting on the interview she did at the Summit..

It has been a WONDERFUL WEEK hell MONTH for Angie..

@busted: We are doing the HAPPY DANCE. Busted, if Angie refers to Brad as her husband, I will too, lol. This will give the trolls agita. :-).

A big friend of mine that took a plain to LA this morning just text to me

Guess who is in my plain? Brangelina :)

The Great Dame Angelina!

So many great JP pictures these past few days…love this one so much!

Brad as a spouse and father supports Angelina Jolie at Day Three of Global Summit  #LoveIt #TimeToAct

You can read that however you want. YOUR comment is disgusting and disrespectful to ALL Women.. and if you yourself are a woman it is even more offensive.. Sometimes we have to live a reality to fully understand the pain of it.. So yes.. my wish is you understand in great detail how nasty your comments are to all women..

You want to sit behind a computer and be anonymous. Fine.. but know that what you put out will come back to you in some way. When it does.. I want you to remember your anonymous comments on a gossip site. Comments you aimed at not just Angelina but every woman that made that decision and sadly the millions that will in the future.

2 marriage wreckers meet…..

Thanks for the info.. I was thinking they would be traveling today.

People who are not ‘Girl’s girls’:
1)The Queen of England
2) The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (OSCAR).
3) The Box Office
4) Non-basic bishes, everywhere.

Wow. Congratulations Dame Jolie. So happy and proud for you. Could not have happened to a more deserving person.

Poor hen. Watch out for that karma. Maybe you should spend your time worshiping hair.

Hey guys someone mentioned Brad’s skate park he built for his kids have you guys seen this vid of the little girl who nails a half pipe then screams in joy that went viral I automatically thought of Shiloh. It’s the cutest. Then when I heard they had a half pipe I’m like..maybe that is Shiloh. Lol she’s 9 a year older than Shi.

Brangelina @ 06/14/2014 at 8:43 am

great hold for Mal. If DH and Nikki are rigth thats a spetacular hold. HTTYD2 is underprforming. People were saying that it would kill Mals`s legs but it seems it was the opposite. This summer is crazy at the B.O.

Cool! :) I think Mal is gonna prove to have the kind of legs that Frozen has.

Wouldn’t it be cool if they made Mal a Broadway musical? I could see Audra or Idina in the title role. :)

@busted: I was watching ET last night. One of their correspondence Samantha Harris just had a double Mastectomy about two weeks ago. Busted, I was riveted to her story. She documented her journey from the time she found out the devastating news until after the operation. I was crying my eyes out. Samantha has two daughters and a husband. She said she did the surgery for her family, she’s about 40 yo. The Drs told her the cancer went to her limp nodes so she is not sure if she will have to get chemotherapy. She was very strong in telling her story but she cried during most of it. It’s so sickening to hear the trolls talk so cruel about millions if women who are facing and going through cancer or may have the strong possibility of getting this disease makes my blood boils. I’m with you, I hope what the trolls wished for Dame Angie and the millions of other womens who are suffering is something they have to deal with one day and see how cruel they have been to women all over the world. Angelina and all the other womens who have never done any thing to cause this disease. These sick haters are so cruel in their hearts that they have the nerves to talks about someone not having breasts or nipples is just the lowest of the low. I’m a person who never wished evil on anyone, but I’m tempted to do so just to the haters, they have no conscience and must be psychopaths and sociopaths and are real S A D I S T in their lives.

Wonderbust @ 06/14/2014 at 9:04 am

Yas Cliniqua tell these haters. Oh and didn’t I warn the troll last night about celebrating too early. Looks like Maleficent was able to hold its own this weekend. How interesting that Dragon 2 has better reviews and the first one was very well received yet Maleficent still beat it opening weekend. This has been a horrible weak for the trolls.

Congratulations to Dame Angelina Jolie!!

Did a quick scroll through 14 pages.
Well well, just as I expected. The trolls are completely losing their collective little widdle minds – all of 2 brain cells!! The more they post their shite, the more they show how much they are losing their minds!
I love it!

Lol wonderbust, I tiptoed over to the fat female fugs first (make that last) site just to see how a so called brit gossip cesspool site was taking the news (I never go there so I had to plug it in to Google to find)…predictably a thread called Dame Angelina and another called Angelina Honoured by Queen Elizabeth is 1 & 2 over there. Bahahaha! Losing their shite is an understatement.
Just a comment to the dumb azz that is @be who was trash posting earlier about ‘yada yada..where are the unknown and unfamous working class women… blah blah blah..that the queen could have honored?’ My question to the extremely slow hater tool is: how in da fuque would you know if the Queen did or did not since they are unknown and unfamous? Not too bright. But hey..stay pressed. ROFLMAO

I don’t consider it wishing hate on anyone. I consider it wishing deep understanding.

I as a woman have had Friends and co Workers that have had cancer or a cancer scare. I myself when I was 19 had to go through testing to see if I had breast cancer. And thought I am fortunate I didn’t that fear is lasting. You think of the decisions you may have to make to save your life. The troll make vile comments about breast removal as if it is a joke. Too many women are dying of cancer. Some because they don’t know the options, and yes some because they are afraid to make that very tough decision. To remove your breast to save you life w/cancer or without is not a joke. and the thing that is worst is these dumb ignorant comments come from other women; mothers, daughters, sisters, friends.. WOMEN being so disgusting about another woman making a choice to be with her loved ones. Women with such a big family history of this disease that has and is still killing MILLIONS of women.

How does another woman not understand that or feel some compassion. It is beyond my thought process.. And as said sometimes you have to have an experience to gain understanding or compassion. Maybe that is what it will take for these women to fully get what that choice and fear is.

Agreed busted. You wonder how stupid they are…seems like they’re just inviting bad karma into their lives. You’d think they’d get a clue. Hm.

@busted: You are so right, most of us have been touched by this disease, either by family, friends, neighbors and co worker. This disease is no joke. It burns me up when I hear the low lives make a joke about this by wishing death Ect. I’ve seen the devastation this disease cause and would not wish it on my worse enemy.

Busted, you asked how cannot another woman understand and have compassion. Busted that’s what I have been saying on these threads forever. The trolls are Satan in disguise, they are psychopaths, sociopaths, people without conscience. They laugh when the fans get upset, because we have a conscience. When someone wished death on children you know this is not a human being, it’s the evil. And Jennifer Aniston’s fans are real lowlives in the form of human but with the soul of Satan.

First American Female @ 06/14/2014 at 9:48 am

Go, Angie! Fr USA Today:
Quick, can you name a female American movie star — actually, any American woman at all — declared an honorary dame by the queen? Nope, the late Elizabeth Taylor doesn’t count; she was British-born. So is Angela Lansbury, recently named a dame, the female version of a knight.

Steven Spielberg has an honorary knighthood. Bill Gates has one. So did Bob Hope, President Reagan, Edward R. Murrow and a long list of Yank generals, including Eisenhower, Patton, Marshall, Schwarzkopf and Powell.

So the fact that Oscar-winner Angelina Jolie today received one of the highest honors granted by Queen Elizabeth II and the British establishment, for her work combating sexual violence in war zones, is a very big deal indeed.

See ya wouldn't want to be ya @ 06/14/2014 at 9:50 am

@resting: it’s also not a hate site so if reading good things about Dame Jolie angers you leave and find a site with cruel people.

People can say all they want. It will not change the fact that being a DBE is a tremendous honor, not bestowed on many people in the world. In fact,
Angie is the ONLY American woman to have that. You can hardly to that. Ever.

Wonderbust @ 06/14/2014 at 9:52 am

@First American Female:
Slay Angie! What a year, and Unbroken hasn’t even been released. Not going to count my chickens but If Unbroken is a critical hit, oh my. I already know it will do huge business at the box office.

Sorry. I mean, You can hardly TOP that.

Wonderbust @ 06/14/2014 at 9:54 am

What an honor. Seriously is Tambusted on suicide watch. He was spamming the board early yesterday bringing up Angie’s past and I told his pressed ass that his rants have no effect whatsoever.

Wonderbust @ 06/14/2014 at 9:56 am

Angelina oops I mean Dame Angelina is only 39 and she already has 2 Oscars, 3 Golden Globes, 2 SAGS, Special Envoy, only American female Dame, I can see why the haters are so upset.

They should be back to LA today, I am sure they miss their children so much and tomorrow is Father’s day. No doubt Angie will do some creative things with children for Brad. Love this couple, no one else can top them.

Some of the British and Americans might be upset, its done deal. Angelina has been given the title of “Dame”.

@Wonderbust: It is a shame some people cannot cope with the success of others. Jealousy is a beast! The truth is Angie has already written her name in history. As an actress, as a humanitarian, as a leader, as an icon. There is nothing anybody can do about this. Game over!

Sorry loons, skeleton can’t be called “Dame”. She is a honorary dame. they ain’t the same, Honorary Oscar isn’t Oscar. It is hard for you dumb loons. Skeleton can have 10 more honorary oscars, still count 1 Oscar. poor loons, I know truth hurts, keeps living in your delusional world.

@Rose…. @Resting
Thanks for the early morning laught
&Buster you keep your big nose out of this .

This is the reason she leave her children with babysitters for days on end to collect awards ant silly titles …this woman is as fack as they ever.

ROSE I hope you are getting pay well for this defence … Rose you will never learn .. Don’t get into battle with anyone speaking their mind that what this site for . Know one gets on you for all the dumb things you say on a daily bases.

Hey JP fans! Isnt life in JP-land grand! LOL
So its another glorious day and just to make sure it was not all a dream, one of the first things i did on this glorious morning was to check in with the JP FANDOM………..(aka – for all the ignoramuses who delude themselves into thinking otherwise)………..and lo and behold, the truth still holds:…….DAME ANGELINA JOLIE PITT is still a Dame. LOL
S. C. H. W. E. E. E. E. E. E. E. E. T.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@ busted #335……………………..heres where your argument falls down, busted………………….your premiss is wrong, ergo………… you know what that means for your entire argument, right?
Your faulty premiss is your assumption that the trolls you mention, have the same faculties as you and i and all JP fans and all your friends and co-workers and pretty much every other decent human being in the world.
In fact, thats where many JP fans are in error, re the subhumans who come here to emote:……. we ascribe human qualities to them and respond to them merely as humans being particularly hateful towards a woman none of us knows personally.
But thats where we are wrong. The particular variety of trolls who infest our threads are not “decent human beings”. In fact i believe the jury is still out on whether or not they can be described as “human beings”.
Recall the Will Smith “Men in Black” movies…………. how after he was given the ability to ‘see’ the supposed ordinary people walking amongst us, he could identify their alien-ness………LOL
Well thats what occurs to men i when i see the gaseous projectiles they emit here.
Do you notice that they love to quote the character ‘Lisa’ from Girl Interrupted. They loooooooooooove that movie. They watch it over and over and over again until they know the dialogue by heart. Thats because they strongly identify with thecollection of mentally impaired girls at that asylum.

@Pigs: Hey Liz, Joe, tamshitt Blessed one, – can’t leave me alone, can you. Stay pressed my friend

Skeleton isn’t trending anywhere, no one cares about her honorary dame. in the real world not your delusional world, most people would be like ” wtf is dame, who cares”.

@hahaha USA Today News Paper states this is a Big Deal for the United States The first woman DAME Angelina to given the title “DAME”

YES, indeed A Great Big Deal!

@hahaha:Joe, Liz, blessed one, tamshitt, Pigs, You care, you are here talking about it. It’s Dame Angelina Jolie Pitt to you, fool. Stay pressed my friend.

I am talking about real people in real world, You loons have no idea what a real world is.

See ya wouldn't want to be ya @ 06/14/2014 at 10:24 am

kardashian > skeleton. More people care about Kardashian than skeleton.

@Wonderbust: #344
Angelina oops I mean Dame Angelina is only 39 and she already has 2 Oscars, 3 Golden Globes, 2 SAGS, Special Envoy, only American female Dame, I can see why the haters are so upset.
LOL ……..Thats what I’m talking about, Wonderbust. Oh….dont forget her other title: Life Long Babe……….Oh. Yeah.

A real world isn’t media. dumb loons, i don’t think you idiots understand it.

@hahaha: Kardashian > Straight to DVD actress

@hahaha: exactly. For example. In the Media Jennifer Aniston is a Movie Star but in the real world her latest movie is going STRAIGHT TO DVD.

Like all her billions of fans all over the world, I am terribly proud of Dame Angelina and Bradley, her Knight in Shining Armour!!! Wooooohoooo!!!

Loons always think anyone who doesn’t care about skeleton must be a fan of Aniston.

@hahaha: Stay pressed tamshitt, Liz, aka lizard, Joe, Blessed one, Yonkers, conspirator, LurkerLeslie, connotes, maltreat cat, Josephine, Jane, yuip, James, Burt, allen, franc game, Haven. Docent matter what moniker you use I still smell your stink…. hope you make up some more names today. If not you can fall back on the old ones.

The fact is Angelina Jolie received one of the highest honors granted by Queen Elizabeth 11 and the British establishment for her work combating
sexual violence in a war zone is a big deal indeed.

Good to see you care so much about Dame Angelina Jolie… or you would not be here …..

@Susieqt: #362
Say it LOUD, Susieqt. We’re all so PROUD of our history-making, record-breaking superwoman, Dame Angelina Jolie-Pitt.
Srsly tho…………….we all know that theres no such thing as a Superwoman, that is, a woman who is doing and being everything you could possible want: a highly evolved human being; loving and being loved by the love of your life; a great, loving mother; a successful career woman; a tireless worker for the common good; a fierce advocate for the down-trodden, the forgotten and the voiceless; and being publicly recognized for all your good deeds…………………… you realize that Angie is the closest thing we can get to being a Superwoman!!!!!!!!!!?????????
And yet, she’d be the first to reject that title. She said loudly and clearly in her Maleficent interviews that she DOESNT do it all, and that she COULDNT do half of what she does without Brad.

It’s strange Tickys fan is now disowning her, lol. I remember tamshitt, lizard, Liz, Joe, blessed one, Ect came here because the fans here were making fun of Ticky. … and the troll came here to stop from making fun Ticky, that’s what it said. Now the same troll is saying it’s not a fan of Ticky. We, are Brad and Angelina’s fans. We are proud to be their fans, we would never deny we are fans, that’s why we are on a Brad and Angelina’s thread.

Love the JoliePitts @ 06/14/2014 at 10:50 am

Good morning to all the wonderful Dame JoliePitt fans.
Busted, I must thank you for your excellent response to the hate-filled troll. The troll truly believes he/she can hide behind a computer spewing all its hate against Angelina on to a public forum with “impugnity” and not reap the consequences of its own vitriol.
The troll will never understand – out of its own mouth it condemns and curses itself and its idol.
And every hateful attack of the troll against the JP family is automatically transmuted into wonderful blessings for Angelina, Brad and their family.

Quick, can you name a female American movie star — actually, any American woman at all — declared an honorary dame by the queen?

We pored over the Wikipedia list of honorary knights and dames and could not find another female American on it.
Jolie was named an honorary dame commander of the Order of St Michael and St. George in the annual queen’s birthday honors list, which this year includes about 1,000 people honored for their service to the nation or their community. Only British and Commonwealth citizens can use the title Dame before their name (or Sir for a knight), so Jolie will join all the other Americans who have the honor but can’t use it.
It’s actually a respectably long list but they’re all men. Not clear why that would be but it seems Jolie deserves Royal Congratulations.

Stupid @ bap that damn dame title not getting her into the bravo show lady’s of London they do not like America over their they think we are dumb and loud.. They come over here make money and go back to that nasty country and live on the Hogg.. It shows how stupid Americans rreally are all excited over a sill good for nothing title. Fried gressy chicken asses know nothing as to how the game is play . Everyone has a story

Friday June 13, 2014 MYT 11:59:29 AM

I WATCHED two movies back-to-back recently: The Angriest Man in Brooklyn and Maleficent.
In The Angriest Man in Brooklyn, Robin Williams plays the role of Henry Altmann – an unhappy man always angry at the world and everyone in it. When he is diagnosed with brain aneurysm, he struggles to make amends with everyone he has hurt in his life.
Maleficent stars Angelina Jolie as the eponymous Disney villainess character in the re-imaginating of Walt Disney’s 1959 animated movie Sleeping Beauty. Jolie portrays the story from the perspective of the antagonist, Maleficent.
In both movies, a line stands out clearly, “I wasn’t always like this”.
It got me thinking about a few people in my life, who I felt, have been hurt previously or have lost someone dear to them, hence their bitter, angry and vengeful behaviour to life and to those surrounding them.
My mother always reminded her children to not judge someone or something, “till you have walked in their shoes”.
Although I have always kept her advice close to me, the underlying lesson from the two movies puts a fresh perspective to the line, “don’t judge a book by it’s cover”.
In my line of work, I have had my share of dealing with all types and sorts of people. From the sweetest, kindest souls; to the meanest, most horrible bullies – the latter naturally, being a pain to work or deal with. Having said that, I’ve noticed that dealing with difficult people is less challenging if I visualise a backstory behind their mean demeanor.
For example: A is a complete douchebag to women and has no friends because his wife cheated on him with his bestfriend. Or B is OCD because she was exposed to some horrible infection on her face when playing at the sandbox as a young girl.
Whenever I get irritated with someone or something, I always make up a scenario in my head about why it or they are like that. This has sustained my tolerance level and has kept my blood pressure down.
Some of the things said by the likes of people such as Ibrahim Ali and Ridhuan Tee, really get to me – so instead of getting all worked up unnecessarily, I exercise my “backstory mind game” to try and understand where they are coming from and why.
As difficult as it is for me to swallow at times, it keeps me less annoyed as I remind myself “nobody is perfect”.
When I shared this “mind game” method with friends, some scoff. Others tell me to just ignore (less psycho-babbling that way) and a few have challenged me.
“Daph, how about the gang rape of the 15-year-old Malaysian student? Or the abduction and beheading of the two-year-old near the Klang river? Does your mind-game method help?” Having two young daughters, these type of news has left me scared and bewildered. Shocked and angry.
Social scientists would have a whole list of reasons on why rape, sexual assault and murder happens and I’ve naturally applied these reasons to why these monsters are what they are.
But I must admit, the challenge has stumped me and I question; “Have they always been like this?”
Henry Altmann became a complete jerk after losing his son and Maleficent sought revenge for Stefan because she was heartbroken by his betrayal.
I know that people aren’t born to be unkind or mean or to be criminals and haters. Somewhere, along the way, something sparked or a series of events have made us the way we are.
I live by this mantra that when you forgive, you heal. And when you let go, you grow.
It is probably hard to apply and accept my “mind-game” method to every situation, but it does give one time to ponder and realise that things normally happen due to a result of injustice, oppression or societal failure.
The idealistic streak in me hopes for a happy ending for all and that everyone will play a collective responsibility to remove social and economic disparities.
The realistic side of me knows this will be a feat that will take time and lots of effort from a large group of emphatic people.
The positive me knows this is possible. God-willing.

How the world treats women
Pam Frampton Published on June 13, 2014
“Southern trees bear strange fruit,
Blood on the leaves and blood at the root.”
— From “Strange Fruit,” written by Abel Meeropol

“Strange Fruit,” the haunting and disturbing song immortalized by Billie Holiday in 1939, was written in response to the lynching of African Americans. But the bitter crop takes many forms and continues to grow, fertilized by hatred and ignorance, and infiltrating many parts of the world. And all too often the victims are girls and women, killed or maimed by sexual violence.
Last month, the strange fruit swaying in the breeze were two teenage cousins in India, innocent schoolgirls aged 14 and 15. From families of humble means, they were attacked when they went into a field to relieve themselves, since their homes did not have toilets. Gang-raped and strangled, they were strung from a mango tree, their bodies stock still, heads bowed, dusty feet pointed downward.
“Black bodies swinging in the southern breeze
Strange fruit hanging from the poplar trees.”
First their lives were cut down, then their bodies cut down, but only after villagers had gathered beneath the tree for hours in protest, refusing to leave until suspects were taken into custody. Five men have been arrested, two of them police constables.
When women took to the streets to call for a crackdown on the vicious attacks and killings of women and girls, they were blasted by police water cannons. India’s not the only place where women are sometimes treated like garbage, like something disposable or less than human, with no right to personal security or, in some cases, free will.
In Pakistan last month, a 25-year-old woman was stoned to death by an angry mob using bricks — her family members among them — for the heinous crime of having chosen to marry without her relatives’ approval. In the alleys of Karachi, Pakistan’s largest city, you can buy a bottle of sulphuric acid for as little as 28 cents. It is a favourite weapon of jilted and jealous lovers.
“Scent of magnolias sweet and fresh
Then the sudden smell of burning flesh.”
Recently, The Associated Press reported on a British surgeon, Dr. Asim Shahmalak, who has “spent £50,000 of his own savings to try and reconstruct the faces of six Pakistani women disfigured by acid, often for doing nothing more than spurning a man’s advances.”
Last week in Nigeria, 20 schoolgirls were abducted at gunpoint, joining the nearly 300 taken in April. They are being used as pawns by an extremist group that decries the corrupting influence of Western society. The girls have been denied education, forced to convert to Islam, sometimes forced to marry and I shudder to think of what else.
In Egypt last weekend, celebrations to mark the inauguration of a new president included bloody sexual attacks on a mother and her teenage daughter in a public square. The Associated Press (AP) reported details of a statement from Egypt’s chief prosecutor’s office, describing the brutality:
“The attackers … first formed a circle around the two, stripped off the mother of her clothes and assaulted her. Later, the mother fell on a bowl of hot water used by a tea maker at the square, sustaining burns on 25 per cent of her body.
“It said the attackers later turned their attention to the daughter but could not do the same to her because police intervened. … Security officials on Monday identified as the teenage daughter a naked female in a video posted on social media networks with parts of her body bloodied, surrounded by a mob of men as a policeman struggled to extract her from the crowd.”
So many women, treated as subhuman sex objects, things to be snatched up and passed from hand to hand, humiliated, tortured, raped, discarded. In our own country, the federal government has refused to hold an inquiry into the roughly 1,200 aboriginal women who have been murdered or gone missing in the past 30 years.
Of course, it’s not only women who are victims of crime or sexual attacks. In this province we grapple still with the fallout of the sexual abuse of boys at Mount Cashel Orphanage. So this is not meant to suggest that boys and men aren’t targets, too.
But it is women who are systematically treated as second-class citizens in many cultures; as beings who are burdens, wastes of money and schooling; as creatures to be given to men like chattel or workhorses in arranged marriages. And, in an increasingly horrendous trend, it is women who are often the victims of rape during wartime.
In an AP report this week, British Foreign Secretary William Hague called rape in war zones “one of the ‘great mass crimes’ of the last two centuries,” as he opened an international summit to address the issue with UN Special Envoy and actor Angelina Jolie.
More than 100 countries are expected to be represented at the London conference, which will focus on the investigation and prosecution of violence against girls and women.
To have the eyes of the world focused on the issue surely is a positive step. But when you hear elected officials in India dismiss the severity of the crimes by saying, “Boys will be boys,” and that rape happens “by accident,” it’s hard not to despair that things will never change; that the bitter harvest of girls and women will continue unabated.
On Wednesday, a 45-year-old woman was found hanging from a tree by her sari in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. She had been gang-raped and murdered.
On Thursday, in the same state, it was a 19-year-old girl, hanging by her scarf from a eucalyptus tree.
“Here is fruit for the crows to pluck
For the rain to gather, for the wind to suck.”

Angelina Jolie, warzone rape, and the celebrity effect

Updated 8:17 PM, Jun 14, 2014

MANILA, Philippines – Does the presence of a celebrity help drive people’s attention toward or away from a worthy cause? Participants of the #TimeToAct Google Hangout hosted by Rappler CEO Maria Ressa weighed in on this issue.
Most of them are fresh from the Global Summit against Sexual Violence in Conflict in London, co-hosted by British Foreign Minister William Hague and Hollywood star Angelina Jolie, who is also the the Special Envoy for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
Jolie’s husband, actor Brad Pitt, also graced the event to show support for his wife’s cause.
As part of the global effort to stop the use of rape as a tool of war, an international protocol was launched during the summit aiming to provide the best practice in the documentation of sexual violence.
In such a large conference that brought together stakeholders from over 100 countries, did the event need the participation of a celebrity such as Angelina Jolie?
For British Ambassador to the Philippines Asif Ahmad, Jolie was an effective co-host because she walked her talk. (READ: Jolie and Hague mobilize global action vs rape in war)
“Our experience has been positive for one important reason: this is not a part the actress is playing. This is something she is committed to and believes in herself,” Ahmad said.
“The second reason is, in this day and age, just the voice from an ambassador, a minister isn’t enough. You need to find someone who is willing to stand up and speak. Just as in this Hangout, we are all our own little celebrities in our own way. But we don’t have to be celebrities to speak up,” he added.
The Philippines’ Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process, Secretary Teresita Deles, agreed with the British Ambassador. “Why she was so effective is because you know she was not just reading lines and that there was passion there and she really thought out these messages,” Deles said.
Deles said Jolie’s presence help draw in crowds that would not normally have paid attention.
“I think more than anything, it was this presence here that made this summit get projected beyond the conference venue. We thought it was very big. But it’s not in the center of London. You have to travel quite a bit to get here. It would still fall through the cracks. People would not know how big it was. It’s her who brought the message that this was big. Because if Angelina Jolie moves and talks, it will be times a million compared to if it were any of us in this panel,” Deles added.
‘Faces and names’
It’s all about putting “faces and names,” said Miriam Coronel-Ferrer, government chief negotiator in talks with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front.
“Angelina was a face and a name and so all the other [participants] were also trying to find their names upfront so this thing about sexual violence can be recognized,” Ferrer said.
One of the booths in the summit contained the names of women who were victims of gender-based violence. Ferrer said she herself found her name there.
“My name was actually there, as well as the names of other women who were victimized, arrested. The booth is putting a name to all the faces, victims and [shows a] new world for everyone. Angelina is one such face,” Ferrer said.
Putting faces to the names of victims and survivors is an important part of the reconciliation process in conflict and post-conflict areas, Deles said.

On learning of her award Brigid Inder said:
It is humbling to receive this honour. It highlights the need for prevention and greater accountability for gender-based crimes, both in armed conflict situations and everyday life. As a supporter of PSVI she has made a significant contribution to the development of the International Protocol for the investigation and documentation of sexual violence in conflict, as well as promoting the role of women in preventing conflict and the equal and full participation of women in all efforts to create and maintain peace and security.
On learning of her award Madeleine Rees said:
This is a complete surprise! I am honoured. It is recognition that all of us who work on human rights and combating discrimination are making a contribution, not just to peace but to real security. I see it as an endorsement and encouragement to never give up!

Since the launch of PSVI, Rob has provided key support to address the specific needs of children who are a majority of victims of sexual violence in conflict as well as raising the profile of the issue internationally.
On receiving news of his award Rob Williams said:
It is fantastic to have such recognition of the work that War Child does to keep children safe even in the middle of conflict. I see this as a major tribute to the staff, volunteers, artists, supporters and donors who have built an organisation we can be proud of”.
International Criminal Lawyer. Love the JoliePitts @ 06/14/2014 at 11:07 am

Good morning to my Lady Rose! I can tell you are having a Lovely day my friend.
I am still celebrating the wonderful news of the Summit and the glorious “Coronation” may I use that word and “Crowning” of the beauteous Angelina JoliePitt as “Dame Angelina JoliePitt”
Rose, the Pitt family must be beside themselves with joy and thanksgiving. How must our Bradley feel about his “better other worldly half”…..I think Brad could see this day coming. He has said all along that Angelina is a “Force!” “a General.” And an awesome mother and he has been right in his assessment of her.
How proud she must be of him and so thankful to him for all his support and being right there by her side to rejoice with her. I know he was with her at Clarence House even though we see no pictures of him there. And what an honor for the JoliePitt children.
This whole week has been simply amazing and mind blowing. What a tour de force the Summit is and was….it truly was a Summit like no other.
Brad and Angelina standing there with world Statesmen….so appropriate, so right, and so in keeping with the work Angelina has been doing for so many, many years.
Now the next phase begins.
I pray for a mantle of wisdom and much Love and respect for each other to rest on the shoulders of both Brad and Angelina as they continue to help so many people together in so many wonderful ways.
Rose I have this happy picture in my head of Brad’s head being very close to Angelina’s head as she worked on her speeches. She once said he loves to be the first to read what she writes and I cannot help but believe he is her Rock in so many wonderful ways.
Have a wonderful day my friend. I will not be on board long….as you probably won’t too. So much to do. So little time. Blessings to you my friend.

Dame Angelina Jolie to ‘dedicate her working life to humanitarian work’
Sat 14 Jun 2014
• .
Angelina Jolie has received an honorary damehood for services to UK foreign policy and her recent campaign to end war zone sexual violence.
The Oscar-winning actress has been working with the United Nations for over a decade, participating in nearly 50 field missions around the world.

Jolie said she was honoured and humbled by the commendation.
To receive an honour related to foreign policy means a great deal to me, as it is what I wish to dedicate my working life to.
The actress has previously said she became interested in humanitarian affairs in 2000 when she went to Cambodia to film “Tomb Raider” and experienced the aftermath of a humanitarian crisis.
She became an UNHRC Goodwill Ambassador in 2001, working with the UN Refugee Agency in Syria, Iraq, Somalia, Sudan, Sierra Leone and many other countries.

The actress was promoted to the rank of UN Special Envoy to High Commissioner for Refugees António Guterres in 2012.
In this role, she is focusing on large-scale crises which result in huge numbers of civilians being forced to flee their home, the UNHCR said. Jolie became the first person to take on such a position within the organization. Speaking about her fight to end sexual violence in conflict she said:
I know that succeeding in our goals will take a lifetime, and I am dedicated to it for all of mine.
The actress, along with her partner Brad Pitt, has donated over $5 million to the UN Refugee Agency since she became involved in 2001.

Hey Girl Hey!

Holler Poodles!

I want to give a great big shout out to all the folks at Roy’s Hideway for such an awesome Memorial Day Weekend. If you haven’t checked it out before, you must!! The people are so nice and the pool and clubhouse are lots of fun! They have rv sites, tent sites, bunk houses and a great kitchen open on the weekends. Tell them Mary Edith Pitts sent you and they’ll charge you an extra $5.00. LOL
Squirrel! I don’t know if I’ve ever written a movie review but I’ve just seen two movies that moved me in vastly different ways. I guess I need to start a gay rating system. How about something like this? HeY is a 1 and HeYYYYY is a 5 and the best. Holllerrrr!

“The Normal Heart” by Larry Kramer and directed by Ryan Murphy is an unflinching look at the beginning of the AIDS crisis in all of its horror, tragedy and outrage. Mark Ruffalo and Matt Bomer give heart breaking award winning performances that left me literally weeping. I encourage everyone to see this movie–especially our young gay people because it is our history. It reminds me of the quote “Those who ignore history are destined to repeat it.”

Mary Edith Pitts gives it a HeYYYYY!

Last night I saw Maleficent with Angelina Jolie and was blown away in the most surprising way. Because of the poor critical reviews I had read on Flixster, I decided I would probably wait to see it but my friend insisted. I don’t want to spoil it for you but you MUST see this movie. Think Wicked! Told from a different point of view, it is exceptional in every way! It reminds me not to judge someone based on what I’ve read or heard from others.

Angelina’s performance is subtle at times and can blow you away with just a look. The costumes are sumptuous as are the sets, lighting and makeup. Oh, did I mention makeup? Having worked in film I have to say this was exquisite. The prosthetics are imperceptible. But when all is said and done, the story is what will get you. It is told beautifully and will hopefully challenge you in a different way!
Mary Edith Pitts gives it a HeYYYYY!
Let me know what you think about these and if there are other movies that are a must see!

Love and lashes, Mary Edith Pitts

Plenty of wisdom found in the movies for Father’s Day
By Katherine Monk, Postmedia News June 13, 2014

On the small screen, they are oracles in top-leather La-Z-Boys: wise men who offer tidbits of life advice in act three of every episode. But on the big screen, it’s a whole different ball game.
Father figures in film are often absent or abusive, forcing the hero onto a life path of desperate choices in a bid to survive the “real world.” These are the patriarchs who offer up tough love and target practice, then head to the peeler bar to give Junior a lesson in ladies and lovemaking.
Everyone finds their own way of making a connection with their kids, but in the interest of making this Father’s Day more than a celebration of a new barbecue and a tie, here’s a handy list of Daddy Do’s and Don’ts as illustrated by Hollywood.
DO teach your kids how cast a fly. Though most people don’t remember the words or plot of A River Runs Through It, we know the reverend father (Tom Skerritt) formed a meaningful bond with his two sons (Brad Pitt, Craig Sheffer) by teaching them the finer points of fly fishing. Fishing was a metaphor for life: You had to know when to let go, and when to reel it in.
DON’T wait until you’re in the midst of a light sabre battle at the bottom of the central air shaft in Cloud City to tell your kid you’re his father, as we saw in the original Star Wars trilogy. Also, it’s not great daddy etiquette to cut off body parts of your own progeny when they refuse to follow you to the dark side.
DO give your kid a little something special to remember you by, such as a magic crystal that can make an ice castle and offer life lessons from you in hologram form, as we saw in Superman.
DON’T tell your kid to ‘take a knee’ every time there’s trouble. It looks as stupid as it sounds. More importantly, don’t be cajoled into kick-starting junior’s career by bankrolling a bad movie from M. Night Shyamalan.
DO protect your child and speak to him or her with respect so they will respect themselves – even when others do not, as we saw Will Smith do with such compassion in The Pursuit of Happyness.
DO teach your daughter about the stars and the mystery of the universe. It can be a way of building an unbreakable bond – and give her the strength to follow her own convictions, just like Jodie Foster in Contact.
DON’T force your family into spending the winter at an isolated mountain resort so you can finish your novel and earn money as a caretaker. All work and no play made Jack Nicholson a very bad dad in The Shining.
DO share your hobbies, passions and your freakish inventions with your progeny. It will bring you closer as you reveal your true self to your kids, flaws and all. You could even take a Sunday drive in a flying car named Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
DO ask your daughter’s fiancé hard questions about their future and how they will sustain a family. Dads like Steve Martin, Spencer Tracy and Robert De Niro know better than anyone that men can be no good.
DON’T have a problem with your daughter’s fiancé because of his ethnic or racial background. You can only guess who is coming to dinner, and even if he turns out to be a Focker, he could also be the man who makes her a mother.
DO teach your kids about the family business. It will give them a sense of place and identity in the world – and potentially a criminal record, if your last name is Corleone.

just a thought @ 06/14/2014 at 11:13 am

@Pigs: LOL one of the British reality stars boasted on that show that the Jolie Pitts had recently rented a home near where they lived. So shut up with this bs that they would not like Angelina. They would love for her to acknowledge them.

SCOOP: Young MALEFICENT Designs Featured In Concept Art

By anthonyEstark – 6/13/2014

Concept illustrator Luca Nemolato (X-Men: Days of Future Past) has posted very early designs on what young Maleficent could have looked like, as well as concept are of one of the fantastical creatures.

@Love the JoliePitts: Hi ltjp, how are you my friend. I was just about to turn off my I pad when saw your moniker. Love, oh my friend, what a wonderful day to be a Jolie Pitts fan. We are so very proud of Dame Angelina and all she has accomplished in her short life. Words cannot explain how proud of her and Brad I am. love, we have to expect to see the worse in humanity from Tickys fans…. the reason Ticky has not moved into a better place in her life is because she has surrounded herself with negative friends, and she is negative, and her fans are the worse on the Internet. Love there has been articles about Tickys fans. Articles have mentioned that of all fans on the Internet her fans are the most evil, and viscous of all fans, that’s very scary. Love, I have to run my friend. I may catch you later. Love check page #12, comment 282. I know you will like it.

So i was slumming over at Cb and of course, kaiser and whoever had to wake up from their usual saturday slumber to post a thread about Angie’s Dame honor.
Almost all the posters have great comments but i saw this:
Nene says: (post #29)
I really believe in life some people are just luckier than others.
They might not be the best in their chosen careers.
They might not be the most generous of heart.
They might even be physically flawed or otherwise.
And they might not even be the smartest.
But whatever they lay their hands on turns to gold.
I know it isn’t fair of mother nature but that’s just human nature.
A.Jolie is one of the lucky ones.

My warmest congratulations A.J!
Now is this a classic case of passive-aggressive or WHAT! Jealousy comes in many forms and this backhanded compliment seems to me to be the waving of the white flag of surrender from a wannabe former hater. LOL
Its like this poor chick has finally given up, recognizing the futility of hoping that the outpouring of jealousy in anger and hatred will have the desired effect of “destroying” Angie because Brad loves Angie and Angie loves Brad (lets not delude ourselves; thats where it all hinges)
It irks me no end, however, that folks like this look at the public results of someone’s achievements and believe that its all because theyre “lucky”. They know not one d@mn about the private h3ll a person goes thru in their life……….they just see the end results and think its all about luck.
Its the same way that many people look at a successful small-business operation (I’m not talking about hedge fund managers and other paper chasers) and think…..d@mn that guy’s so rich hes so lucky; completely ignoring all the years of toil and failures and bills etc that litter the history of the business before it finally began making a profit.

I Forgot to mentioning prior to posting, Please do not in any way or form feel morally obliged to read ANY of MY articles, please skip and scroll past to other posts , yes again this note is especially for the mentally challenged Aniston’s R.etards.

Clinton Says Roles Improving; Mass Assaults in Egypt
Saturday, June 14, 2014
Prospects and the appreciation for women’s roles are improving everywhere from Liberia to Japan, says Hillary Clinton. Yet, during celebrations for Egypt’s new president, Tahrir Square was the site of a series of sexual assaults.
Women around the globe continue to face a double standard when being judged as leaders, Hillary Rodham Clinton says, but their prospects and the appreciation for their roles are improving everywhere from Liberia to Japan. In an interview June 9 with USA TODAY about her new book, “Hard Choices,” Clinton said a woman running for president in 2016 (whether her or someone else) would encounter a different and friendlier political landscape than she did in 2008.
More News to Cheer This Week:
Actress Angelina Jolie and British Foreign Secretary William Hague opened a conference on June 10 in London that focused on combating sexual violence in war zones, The New York Times reported. “We must send a message around the world that there is no disgrace in being a survivor of sexual violence, that the shame is on the aggressor,” Jolie said.
Seven couples sued North Dakota for its same-sex marriage ban, making it the latest state to have its marriage prohibition challenged in court, the Washington Post reported June 6. The couples hope the ban is declared unconstitutional and overturned. “North Dakota has targeted a minority of individuals for discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation,” the complaint reads.
Jill Abramson, former executive editor at The New York Times, will teach narrative nonfiction at Harvard University in fall 2014, The New York Times reported June 12. The paper’s publisher Arthur O. Sulzberger Jr. abruptly fired Abramson last month, shocking the media world and prompting investigation into the actual reason for her dismissal.
Congregants at a prominent New York City church made history by selecting their first female leader, The New York Daily News reported June 12. The Rev. Amy Butler was elected to lead Riverside Church, becoming the first woman to serve as senior minister in the 84-year history of the nondenominational congregation.
The Vera Institute of Justice has developed a tool making it easier to identify human trafficking survivors, a report released June 11 found. The tool is a 30-topic questionnaire that asks potential survivors to provide evidence of human trafficking. The study found that out of 180 participants, 53 percent were found to be trafficking survivors.
India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged politicians to work together to protect women, The Guardian reported June 11. Modi’s comments were made in response to the gang rape and lynching of two female teens last month. “We are playing with the dignity of women.
Respect for women, their security–it should be the priority for all 1.2 billion people,” he said. The female teens, aged 14 and 12, were kidnapped, raped and lynched on May 27.
Women’s Health Research at Yale will fund studies on vital women’s health issues such as debilitating and lethal diseases, Yale News reported June 9. The pilot project will fund studies on women’s health and gender specific medicine.
Lego will add a female astronomer, paleontologist and chemist in a limited edition box set, the company announced June 3. Called “Research Institute,” the mini figure set was designed by Ellen Kooijman, a geochemist at the Swedish Museum of Natural History.
The United Nations and its partner Pampers, the diapers company, vaccinated 100 million women and their newborns in 25 countries to prevent maternal and neonatal tetanus, a U.N. press release reported June 5. Tetanus claims the lives of 58,000 of infants each year.
Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi paid a visit early June 11 to one of the Tahrir Square victims of mass sexual assault, Al Ahram reported. During celebrations held by supporters of El-Sisi over the past week for his victory in the presidential elections and up until his inauguration, Tahrir Square was the site of a series of mass sexual harassment and assault incidents. In a video report aired June 10 on national TV, El-Sisi was shown apologizing to the victim, as well as to all Egyptian women subjected to sexual abuse. He also vowed to implement tougher measures against the crime.
Shortly afterwards, a statement from Egypt’s presidency declared the intended formation of a committee comprised of government officials as well as Muslim and Christian spiritual leaders to devise a strategy to combat the growing phenomenon of sexual harassment.
Last week, Egypt introduced new punishments for sexual harassment in an effort to crack down on the worsening problem, BBC News reported June 5. In a decree issued by outgoing interim President Adly Mansour, sexual harassment is now a crime punishable by up to five years in jail. Until now, Egypt had not had a law defining sexual harassment.

Giovanni Ribisi Joins the Cast of ‘Selma’
By Benjamin Mazzara, 6/13/2014
Giovanni Ribisi, known for his roles in several Seth MacFarlane productions including Ted, Fathers, and the recent A Million Ways to Die in the West, has been cast in Paramount’s Martin Luther King Jr. biopic Selma as Presidential adviser Lee C. White.
As noted by We Got This Covered, White was an “adviser to John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Ribisi’s White will advise Tom Wilkinson’s Lyndon B. Johnson, as well as a cast that includes David Oyelowo as Martin Luther King Jr., musician Common as civil rights leader James Bevel, as well as Tim Roth, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Carmen Ejogo. The film will be directed by Ava DuVernay, and produced by Brad Pitt’s Plan B and Oprah Winfrey, according to Variety.

Lisa Power says the likes of Rihanna are setting a bad example for young girls and gives thanks for Bindi Irwin
June 14, 2014 8:00PM
IT is always interesting to see fairytales and fables brought to life. Angelina Jolie is killing it in Maleficent and Ariel is a firm favourite in Disney’s The Little Mermaid.
Then along comes poor old Rihanna, who seems to have decided to give The Emperor’s New Clothes a spin. There she was, in all her naked glory, parading for her legion of fans at the Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards.
The deluded fashionistas may have thought the gown — and I use the term lightly — was an avant garde triumph but my kids were appalled.
“Why isn’t she wearing any underwear?’’ asked Miss Eight, studying the G-string back view. “I don’t wear underwear all the time but that is only under long pants. I can see her bosoms.
“Isn’t she cold?’’

Mr Nine had just one word for the ‘‘outfit’’: “Ludicrous’’.
Reader Ange wrote to describe the naked star’s handful of sparkles as “diabolical’’ and having a negative impact on the minds of young fans.

“I find it SO disturbing that this is the image Rihanna — an idol and role model of millions of young girls — thinks is appropriate to wear,’’ she wrote.
And Ange is right.
The images paraded on television, music videos and in magazines for our young girls are getting increasingly worse.
Miley Cyrus is straddling wrecking balls naked, Blurred Line’s Robin Thicke is surrounded by gyrating unclad models while crooning about violent sex and the cast of shows like Geordie Shore are fixated on drinking themselves into a coma and scoring one-night stands. Real classy.
They are all shocking role models for our impressionable daughters. And the trickle down effect was noticed by Miss Eight last week as we caught a train on Saturday night to take in the lights at Vivid.
Everywhere we looked, young half-clad girls were tottering about in heavy make-up, stripper heels and bottom-skimming skirts. Several were clearly drunk.
Being young and naive, my daughter just felt sorry for them, noticing none had remembered to bring a coat, despite the winter chill. “And their feet must hurt. Maybe they didn’t know they had to walk a long way,’’ she said kindly.
The whole sorry state of skid-row teen icons makes me sad: Justin Bieber and Miley all built huge fan bases on their clean-cut images.
Which leaves the lovely Bindi Irwin, towering head and shoulders above the pack. Young, beautiful, poised, articulate and concerned about making the world a better place, Bindi is turning into a fine role model for our young girls.
She strides a red carpet looking stylish and age appropriate, speaks lovingly of her family and stands up for herself against the likes of Hillary Clinton.
Luckily, animal-loving Miss Eight adores Bindi, having visited her zoo, read one of her books and watched all her shows.
So Bindi, no pressure but I have all my hopes for a generation of young female fans pinned on you.
And as for Rihanna, if she reads her fables she may find out what brought the vain Emperor undone: The harsh truth straight from the mouths of babes.

@Phool.: Good morning my friend. Sorry I cannot be ith you at this time, I have to run. I left you something at page 12, 282. I believe you said you have never seen that comment from Angie.

My Congratulations to Angie and hi to JP fans who keep the JP fan base alive. You’re all doing fantastic job. I may not post as often as I used to but I have not stopped tracking Angie and her work and her incredible successes. I watched the whole summit and I am very impressed on what she has accomplished, she continues to evolve and inspire many across the world. The trolls may be licking their wounds and banging their heads, they too know Angie is quite a remarkable woman and there is no one like her, ticky can’t hold a candle to Angie. She deserved this award and many more to come. This is just the beginning and they better get used to it. No one can stop Angie. They couldn’t do it 10yrs ago and they can’t stop her now — ten long years of bitterness and wishing her ill can’t be good for their health. Congrats Dame Angie Jolie-Pitts!! We are all Proud of you.

They are leaving for LA. Brad really likes the beige color outfit.

Yea, ff stinky cesspool is a Brit site. However, those crazy freaks are not us.

Go Angie!!! A hug congrats!!!!!!!

I see the hens especially Tampon is having a hissy fit. LMAO!!!!!!!! Suck it. At 39, she has accomplished so much and received all the important awards.

Can’t say that to some old barren MANiston who at 45 still coat tailing the JP. Had her Huvsy PR dude buy her all the superficial awards.

FromEuropeWithLove @ 06/14/2014 at 12:02 pm

Congrats are in order, Dame Angelina!
So so proud of you. This is such an enormous honour.
If her mummy could see this! I am sure Angelina thinks of her.
I like Brad, but my favorite is Daniel Day-Lewis.
Congrats to both of them. They are fantastic. I still hope to see them together in a movie. Maybe in Atlas? That would be a film to end all films.
Have a good time fans, enjoy, be happy!

No wonder she’s smiling! Angelina Jolie makes a stylish arrival at Heathrow airport with Brad Pitt… after being made an honorary Dame by the Queen
Published: 15:55, 14 June 2014 | Updated: 16:01, 14 June 2014

She is the Queen of Tinsletown and has just been made an honorary dame.
But Angelina Jolie kept a low-key look for her first outing after the news as she was spotted arriving at Heathrow airport with Brad Pitt and several of their children.
The 39-year-old actress was kitted out in an all-black ensemble as she made her would out of the car and carried some of her belongings into the London airport on Saturday morning.
The Maleficent star wore a black waterfall cardigan over black trousers and she added height with black heels.
She accessorised with a large black handbag while her fiance Brad was seen in a beige ensemble.
The couple seemed to be joined by their eldest son, Maddox, who wore a backwards baseball cap by urban brand, The Hundreds.
It is thought that the Foreign Secretary William Hague nominated Angelina to receive the surprise accolade as part of the Queen’s birthday honours.
The suggestion is plausible as the pair have been working closely together at a summit on rape in London over the past week.
But eyebrows were raised at the headline-grabbing damehood, which seals two years of growing friendship between the A-list actress and Mr Hague.
As an American citizen, it is highly unusual that Miss Jolie has received an honour from Britain. Foreigners are occasionally awarded them – there was an honorary knighthood for Bob Geldof, who is Irish, after Live Aid.
The honour to Miss Jolie, a UN Special Envoy, recognises her ‘extraordinary’ work to stamp out rape as a weapon in war zones, culminating in a landmark international summit in London to tackle the menace.
Mr Hague said she thoroughly deserved the award because she had ‘made a real difference and achieved lasting results’, referring to the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative the pair launched in 2012.
Miss Jolie said: ‘To receive an honour related to foreign policy means a great deal to me, as it is what I wish to dedicate my working life to.’
She becomes an honorary Dame Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George.
It is awarded to those who ‘render extraordinary or important non-military service in a foreign country’.
It can also be conferred for important or loyal service in relation to foreign and Commonwealth affairs.

FILM REVIEW: Angelina Jolie bewitches in Maleficent
By East Grinstead Courier | Posted: June 11, 2014

If you hadn’t worked it out from the Princess And The Frog, Frozen, and Brave, then you will certainly learn it from Maleficent – the all-powerful Disney brand is now well and truly on a new path. Gone are the days of helpless princesses and two-dimensional villains who are ugly because they are evil and evil because they are ugly.
So when the “ugly duckling” of the fairies, Maleficent (Angelina Jolie), comes literally flying onto the screen we are presented with a new type of protagonist – a fairy with brown, bird-like wings and surly horns that are at odds with her trusting spirit and strong moral compass.
Which raises the question that has been on everyone’s lips from the first moment they saw Jolie mutter the iconic “well, well, well” in the trailer: what will Disney come up with to turn the good Maleficent bad?
The answer is, of course, man – specifically a human boy called Stephan (Sharlto Copley), Maleficent’s childhood love who eventually commits the ultimate betrayal against her so that he can become king.
Maleficent takes revenge by cursing his baby daughter Aurora in front of the entire court in a scene that (gleefully) is almost a word-for-word reproduction of the 1959 original.
But, from here, the story differs and as the film unravels we see how it might be Aurora herself who unites, rather than divides, the two kingdoms.
There are plenty of insightful references and re-imaginings to excite fans of the original here, as with the thorned forest, Lana del Rey’s Once Upon a Dream theme song and Maleficent’s anthropomorphic sidekick Diaval (Sam Riley), who becomes her wings after she loses her own.
Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville, as the three well-meaning but useless fairies tasked with bringing up the young Aurora, are the most obvious vehicles for light-relief.
But the film’s biggest thrill (and its biggest mistake for not making enough of it) is Maleficent’s biting wit.
Jolie is staggering and steals the film as you would expect in the titular role with her ice-cool delivery, word-perfect accent and seemingly made-for-the-role looks.
Her metamorphosis into the character we all we love to hate and her battle against her slowly melting feelings towards Aurora result in the film’s best comic moments.
The are some issues with pacing, but ultimately the film triumphs as it throws out the old themes of romantic love, heroism and honour, and replaces them with the perils of vanity and hatred and the value of tolerance and unselfish love.

Queen Elizabeth Makes Angelina Jolie a Dame
The Maleficent star can add one more feather to her cap
Angelina Jolie can already be called an Oscar-winning actress, an activist and a mother of six. Now, we can also call her a dame.
The U.K.’s Queen Elizabeth II has made the Maleficent star an honorary dame in recognition of her work raising global awareness of violence against women.
Jolie co-founded the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative (PVSI) along with U.K. Foreign Secretary William Hague in 2012, which aims to increase internationally prosecutions for sexual violence and support countries in preventing and responding to the global issue.
“To receive an honor related to foreign policy means a great deal to me, as it is what I wish to dedicate my working life to,” Jolie said in a statement, ABC reports. “Working on PVSI and with survivors of rape is an honor in itself. I know that succeeding in our goals will take a lifetime, and I am dedicated to it for all of mine.”

ARISE DAME ANGIE – Angelina Jolie has been made a ‘Dame’ by the Queen!

just saying @ 06/14/2014 at 12:07 pm

I really hate the papz left out some kids in pics. I see Maddox no Zahara, but I know Zahara was with them too.

Yesterday Jared had his Current Famewhores like, Kim Kardashan trying to show her Laserd Pubes from her Bikini shot, today he had her up there showing her Breasts in a see though top, Gerald Butler on his daily Photo Ops, Porgies new hired piece has got her daily Photo Op 2nd day running now there was a need to see her in her itsy bitsy mini Crop top, yet still hasn’t had time to put up Angie being honoured her DAMEHOOD for her Humanitarian work. I’m so disappointed in Jared.
PS people should go out ant Watch Maleficent Again, in honor of Angie getting her Damehood.

This comment is on huffnpuss:
This site is really amazing (THATS SARCASM, HUFFNPUSS, I KNOW YOU PROLLY WONT RECOGNISE IT)………………this morning, almost every major newspaper in the world is carrying the news of Angie’s unprecedented honor of being the FIRST AMERICAN WOMAN to be awarded the title of Dame (OBE). And yet, the highlight that huffnpuss chooses for their front page is to say she made their irrelevant ‘worst dressed’ list for an outfit she wore SEVERAL DAYS AGO????????!!!!!!!!LMFAO. Stay pressed, jealous beetches.

AWHODAT!, loons welcome to the real world. no one out side your loons care about your idol’s dumbhood.

@Phool.: We’re all disappointed in Jared, it’s a wonder I haven’t been banned after some of the emails I’ve sent him about letting the trolls say the most disgusting things about the JP children. And exactly WHY does George’s new piece have her picture up, she’s not a celebrity, and George is not with her, as usual, so why put up a picture of a 37 year old attorney dressed like a high school girl. And can anyone tell me what this woman did before becoming an attorney just 4 short years ago. I’m totally disgusted with Jared, he’s such a wuss.

Good Afternoon Love The JoliePitts
God it’s been a while we haven’t spoken, how are you my dear, I hope the water conditions have improved in your parts. Cyber hugs back to you, I have to apologies just didn’t realise you were on I just was posting away, when I do that I tend to have a very blinkered view LOL. In other words can only concentrate on one thing at a time can’t post and reply at the same time. We have loads to talk I will be covering all aspects since last time we have touched base so you have been warned, I have just come across your post from the previous pages in the midst of Troll meltdown LOL. So Love, I will be replying back to that too ok. So will come back later. In other words you need to give me time to write up as I don’t want to do a half assed reply to you.

“…………………almost every major newspaper in the world is carrying the news of Angie’s unprecedented honor of being the FIRST AMERICAN WOMAN to be awarded the title of Dame (OBE)…………”
Read it and weep, fatfvcker. That is, of course, if you can find a well-adjusted human being to help you with the comprehension of it. You could try asking your nurse when she comes in to give you your next dose. Smooches!

William Bradley&The Jolie @ 06/14/2014 at 12:45 pm

Hello Fans. Just wanted to pop in and congratulate the one and only DAME Angelina Jolie. A worthy honor for a most worthy woman. So heartened to see the success of the conference and hope its goals will start to be implemented.

And can you just imagine how proud her husband and her family must be.

And from now on, The Dame Jolie. Slaying Basics, and killing Trolls everywhere.

Loons think the media is the real world? ROTFLMAO.

I can’t stand a man is shorter than his woman, Nicole Kidman and her midget husband are barf to see. He looks like her little brother/sister.

Why are you so freakin’ pressed over this? ROTFLMAO!

It’s delightful.

Hagistons, Whoreniston’s trying to school anyone on the real world. Priceless!

People call you idiots loons for a reason.

#lucy @ 06/14/2014 at 12:41 pm
Hi Lucy,
I first wanted to add that I read your post way back where you mentioned your five year old wants to be called by Maleficent, give her high five from me she’s a girl after my own heart LOL.
Now talking about Famewhore, Jared is a Two Faced F*ucker who is too busy kissing every Z-Lister that’s on the planet that no one has ever heard of Jared hasn’t got time to see what is happening to his site. I might add that whoever is in charge of putting up new threads is a Jenhen for sure, as they are posting every last JP thread up instead of new threads, now what does that tell you, someone is either incompetent in their job, or they are doing it on purpose to Pizz JP Fans off, I will go for the lateral in this case.
Don’t get me going on Georges new piece, she is a proper famewhore, she’s milking her two minute of fame alright you can see how much time she is spending in her grooming & wardrobe before she leaves her flat, human rights lawyer my eye, I guess George really has met his match in this one.

Correction. No one outside of Female Freaks world. All of you b$tches live in an alternate world. Now, come back to earth stupid.

People call you losers for a reason. Do you have an L tattooed on your forehead like Ticky?

It’s her emblem, yours as well. You wear it well.

Sketeton made this week’s worst dressed list, she looked over 50 years old at Ronan Farrow’s interview. She looked like a skeleton granny.

She made the worse dressed list and she is still Dame Angelina Jolie Pitt. Suck on that *****.

But you know the loons would insist Skeleton was the best dressed and looked young. well well loons’ delusion.

Media Wh@re MANiston @ 06/14/2014 at 1:07 pm

What people? You jealous FF freaks. You MANiston idol cares about nothing except her hair extension, yoga, boring Mehico trip and the superficial awards she paid for. One of your delusional MANiston fans still photoshopped her face over Angie because she still wants MANiston and Brad together. You FF freaks are certainly not living in the real world for sure.

For those who wondered where is Geyer, Angie’s manager. Here he is, with Nicole in Shanghai today.

“If I’m the emblem for ‘ the lonely girl” so be it. (Elle mag, 2009)
And so said, so done. And all the lonely pathetic fatfvckers in the world……..all seven of them…………gather in one virtual cesspool and spend heir days telling each other that they constitute the “real world”

just saying @ 06/14/2014 at 1:16 pm

I think Geyer is not Angie’s manager any more, he was no show at Maleficent premieres.

“I remember being 7 and asking my mom if I was as pretty as [my best friend] Monique,” she recalls. “And my mom looked at me and said, ‘Oh, honey, you’re so funny.”
A face that not even a mom could love.
“So, she doesn’t lie to me . . . She answered the question by not answering”
So cringeworthy………………..that moment when you learn that your mom would rather not answer her little seven year old daughter when she asks: “Am i pretty, mommy?’ Jeebus!
Is it any wonder that she spent her ENTIRE LIFE either doing surgery to ‘fix’ the big fat greek ugliness which she hates so much and then flaunting her banged up body all over cabo every freakin year in the futile effort to get rid of the 38-year-old b!tchslap from her mother that she is ugly. Inside and out.

B!tch is fuuked up. Just like the pathetic collection of pathological psychopaths that defend her online.

And those that see Angelina in person, say she’s the most beautiful woman that they’ve ever seen.

But, you losers at Fat Fvcks R us, know that already, don’t you?

So, you’ve come up with that it’s all due to plastic surgery because even you can’t believe that she’s so beautiful.

If it walks like a loser, quacks like a loser, than it must be a loser.

Hello, loser. Bow down to Dame Angelina Jolie!

Media Wh@re MANiston @ 06/14/2014 at 1:25 pm

This proofs you are living in a superficial world, not the real world. Because all you care about is how a person look, not what she has accomplished. Come back to earth idiot.

7 Years in Tibet director also attended Shanghai International Film Festival, I guess the ban for him and Brad has been lifted.

Observer2 @ 06/14/2014 at 1:34 pm

No, she didn’t. She got an personal invite to promote her blockbuster movie.

She didn’t need a film festival to make Maleficent a success. But, Nicole needs all the help she can get for her movie that bombed in Cannes, The Princess Grace, movie.

How many aliases, TamSick are you going to post under? LMAO!

You gave yourself away by mentioning Natalie Portman.

D’y see, fans. The pressed b!tches are really secretly in awe of Dame Angie and sincerely believe she is SuperWoman. How else to explain the fact that they expect Angie to carry out her duties in London as the CO-CHAIR of the Summit to end rape as a weapon of war and AT THE SAME TIME to attend the Shanghai film festival happening all the way over on the other side of the world!!!!!!
D@mn you SuperWoman Dame Angelina Jolie-Pitt. Youre slacking off! LMFAO

And as usual Skeleton was begging to be invited to ShangHai film festival at her press tour in ShangHai. She is always begging for jobs ( remember clinteastood, pedro almodovar), now is begging for appearance at film festivals.

Observer2 @ 06/14/2014 at 1:46 pm

Notice how we called you on your shallow a$$, you stopped talking about it. Notice when AWHODAT brought over Ticky’s own comments about how much of a loser she thinks she is and her own mother thinks she is, hell, a reporter told her to her face she was a loser.

Don’t you think, TamSick that both you and Lameston where the L well?

She didn’t beg Clint for anything and she, Brad and Pedro are good friends. Remember when he said this?

Asked who in the Hollywood community he sees when he’s in LA, Pedro answered, “My almost biological family here are Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas. Also, Carla Gugino who treats me like a mother, always giving me advice on diet. They’re like my American family. When they are in LA, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt treat me very well.”

LOL Skeleton was begging pedro almodovar give her a role, pedro almodovar promised he would, still he hasn’t given her a role yet. He would prefer to work with Penelope Cruz again and again, but no role for Skeleton. keeps begging skeleton

Observer2 @ 06/14/2014 at 1:49 pm

It’s not in the title or the name, it is all in the honor of being grouped with these wonderful people and especially these women. The shallow nitwits focus on such inane statements as…”she cannot use the title” is utterly stupid…that is as outdated as using the title “Mrs.” ROTFLOL.
Since 1903 only 10 Humanitarians have been honored by the Queen, three now four with AJ were women. Any individual, man or woman, of knowledge, integrity, humanity and the spirit of good will towards others would be honored to be associated with these women…and now AJ is officially acknowledged of equal greatness at an early age of 39 with the best of the internationally recognized women since the 1900‘s …this is a great accomplishment for any individual.
Mother Theresa 1983, India
Helen Suzman 1989 Anti-apartheid activist, South Africa111111
Graça Machel, 1997, widow of Nelson Mandela and the First Lady of Mozambique from 1975 to 1986 and the First Lady of South Africa from 1998 to 1999, an international advocate for women’s and children’s rights.

Let all insipids and haters wallow and suffocate in that thought…it is not a pretty sight to see dumb-assess try to make folly with such serious issues…your mind-sets are the reason there is war, murder, injustice, evil, abuse and harm to innocents in this world…no matter how you try to twist it, there is no laughter in what pain, emotional damage and physical abuse that is inflicted in real life to these people. If you believe in “karma”…if there is “justice”…believe you will get yours eventually…visualize and hear in your nightmares…babies crying while they starve because their Mothers are taken away, women screaming in pain while their lips are cut off, scared children told to hack off a farmers head or their brothers and sisters will be killed in front of them…this is the reality of people like Joseph Kony and Boko Haram…I have seen his Kony’s work in Ugandan clinics…and if you educate yourself by traveling or doing volunteer work in these countries or just READ the news…you would be slapped so hard with reality you’d be crying in anguish how stupid and selfish you are to hate on someone trying to help by bringing awareness to such atrocities.
Bottom-line: regardless of what you “think” anyone’s motives are for successfully bringing public awareness on a massively highly organized global scale with such remarkable individuals of world power involving 123 countries to an important issue involving anothers pain, you are doing NOTHING, contributing senseless input and selfishly and ignorantly living in a vacuous dank endless pit and should be identified as lower useless life forms incapable of valuing and worthy of making any credible input.

Dame Jolie. Dame Jolie. Dame Jolie.

That’s gotta hurt for the trolls! Stay pressed losers! Angie’s winning!

Now go sit in the corner with your voodoo dolls and cry!

Domestic plus foreign box offices are already over $350 million.

Father’s Day 2014: Celebrity Dads from Brad Pitt To David Beckham Share their Thoughts on Fatherhood

It’s a fact that Dad’s are often taken for granted. From fixing the car, the open all hours bank of dad, to providing a personalised taxi service, it’s a given that your dad will bail you out. And let’s not forget who forks out for your big day.

It’s our Dads we turn to when life gets hard, and while he’s out working the 9 to 5, it’s often mums who get all the credit for bringing up the kids.

But in an age of equality, men are playing a greater role in bringing up the children. And that applies to celebrity dads too.

Despite their often macho image, a new born son or daughter is enough to melt the hearts of a street wise rapper, a Hollywood heart throb, the President of the USA and even the toughest reality TV judge.

As we prepare to celebrate the all important man in our lives – our Dads – on Father’s Day, we take a look at what the celebrities from Brad Pitt to David Beckham, really feel about being a father.

“Fatherhood is the best thing I ever did. It changes your perspective. You can write a book, you can make a movie, you can paint a painting, but having kids is really the most extraordinary thing I have taken on.” – Brad Pitt

“[Fatherhood] is everything…. The hardest job in the world, the most rewarding job in the world…. We put in long days. And to go home and have dinner with your kids, and have to discipline one of them who’s out of line, and still have the energy for that is…. I can’t explain the fulfillment of that, but it is everything. It’s chaos at times, but there’s such joy in the house. I look and there’s our boy from Vietnam and our daughter from Ethiopia, and our girl was born in Namibia, and our son is from Cambodia, and they’re brothers and sisters, man. They’re brothers and sisters and it’s a sight for elation. We have the capability to give a child a home, and let me tell you it’s selfish, too, because the reward has been extraordinary.” – Brad Pitt

@first and last post: clap, clap, clap, clap all Angelina fans are so smart! very well said!

@Wonderbust: But will Maleficent hit that magical $600 MILLION it needs to “break even”. according to Brooks Barnes and the FF freaks. If, or rather when, Maleficent hits $600 million, watch the FF freaks raise the number to $800 million to “break even”. LMAO

Maleficent was a children’s film thoese kids who went to see it did not go there to see jolie they don’t even know who she is. They went to see the newest and only disney film out . so spare us with the nonsense. Lets see how she does in her next adult film here the audience actually know who she is

They’re seriously delusional and it’s sad. None of her films before Malificent were any good for her to even be acknowledged in the film industry so she must be sucking her way to the top. How impressive! Angelina has climbed the ladder up so high, so fast…

Now you see why the jealousy just doesn’t/can’t end. The Jolie is unstoppable.

Dame Angelina Jolie….. that’s nice to hear as it sounds sooooo good!!!
I don’t care if she cannot use the title before her name for the reason that she is NOT a British or Commonwealth citizen as long as she’s recognized as HONORARY DAME by the actual royal herself, Queen Elizabeth II. (I remember, AJ was given the honorary citizenship of Sarajevo few years ago and she was awarded Cambodian citizenship as well by their King himself).
I heard about this yesterday re honor of Damehood bestowed on AJ. I was very surprised BUT felt very proud for the woman I admire the most.
Titles or no titles, as I understand, AJ is not the kind of person who dwell on this. She never asked for it. She never bought it. It’s given to her because she earned it. Just like awards, she’s just very grateful & inspired BUT never her reasons to do what she has to do or what she likes to do. Remember, she is NOT known as a self-absorbed person BUT a woman who possesses the value of HUMILITY & GRACE.
As her fan, love to call her Dame Angelina Jolie anytime I like. She deserves it. Deal with it.

haters are angry so overladen with jealousy LOL Shame Shame!! don’t know who has the time or cares to read such nonsense.

Angelina Jolie will always be the greatest role model, an admirable Lady.

The 39-year-old actress has been made an honorary dame by England’s Queen Elizabeth II for her work combating sexual violence in war zones. Angelina will not be able to use the title of “dame” before her name though as she is not a British or Commonwealth citizen.

Angie accepted such with grace . England will soon give Angie a citizenship award . So thrilled to be an Angie Fan since forever.

give ‘em credit. Brad and Angelina, I admire your good works and the help you give to those, so much in need. How about a thanks, going out to them. Keep it up and kudos.

Not just any “dame” (or knight). That’s Dame *Commander* of the Order of St. Michael & St. George, bud…

Now I have to create a new title for Shi. Maybe “Dama Commandante Numero Uno de la Revolucion y Knox y Vivi”??
