horrible family who are going to take his money and run.

  • Wow

Something is seriously wrong with that daughter. I get following his wishes and all, but to pull the plug on father’s day? What an awful human being.

Likewise voicing mark in Battleotp is a shining moment none to forget, such magical memories of this man. rip.

May he rest in peace.. it’s sad that his last few years were spent having to deal with his wife & children fighting over who in the end would get his money. It’s horrible that people who claim to love you can be so greedy.

How awful that commenters call her horrible after she has fought valiantly to see her father for so long. It’s Casey Kasem’s wife that is horrible, keeping his children from him as his health failed in his last years, and even shipping him out of state to hide him from them.

I’m glad that the children were able to be with him at the end. According to the judge in the case, he was in terrible shape, and it’s no surprise he had so little time left. If they decided to pull the plug, it had to be in his best interest. He was probably suffering for some time, and the wretched wife was keeping him alive because that’s the only way to hold onto his money.

@Wow: FWIW Casey had been taken off life support days earlier. His daughter didn’t pull the plug on Father’s Day.

Grew up listening to top 40 countdown. He brought joy to lots of us. RIP Casey. :)

Didn’t this guy murder somebody? Or was that a different Casey?

  • Marie

FYI to those that want to hate on his daughter, she did not pull the plug. When a person is as ill as Casey, eating and drinking cause more harm and discomfort. They stopped feeding and hydration and his passing on Father’s Day is merely a coincidence.

My father, after 7 years in a nursing home, passed away on my birthday, after being moved to hospice care within 3 days. Even though the staff believed he gave non-verbal consent they still needed my permission to make the transition. It’s like saying I pulled the plug on my father on my birthday.

His wife Jean was the one who wanted to keep him alive at all codts and againdt Casey’s wishes. Whether it was out of love or because she didn’t want to see his money.go away, Jean was the one who showed bizarre behavior and acted inappropriately.

RIP Casey. I listened to his countdown every Sunday with a big bowl of cereal and the comics. Hard to believe he and Dick Clark are now gone. There’s no one to fill their shoes.

@Wow: She didn’t pull the plug on Father’s Day, he died on Father’s Day. There is a clear concise difference.

  • Freedom

@troll: that was Casey Anthony. She killed her daughter.

  • Juslurked

RIP Casey. I never forget your voice on top 40.

  • ladyb

Gina, if he died on Father’s Day, then the plug was pulled or life support was turned off on Father’s Day…….Anyway, I read the judge’s ruling and I don’t have a problem, this was his wishes…he should have died a while ago but his wife was the one keeping him alive. It’s just a coincidence a final ruling was made Friday/Saturday. Father’s day is a made-up money grubbing holiday just like Valentine’s Day anyway. I also don’t have a problem with his wife – she must have loved him and wanted to keep him alive but it went against his wishes.

@Marie: Marie, I’m sorry for your loss.

@ladyb: No sillyrabbit, it took a couple of days for him to die, it wasn’t right away.
