Chloe Moretz strikes a pose while walking the red carpet at the 2014 MuchMusic Video Awards on Sunday evening (June 15) at MuchMusic HQ in Toronto, Canada.

Jena Malone has become MISS NEVADA!!!!!!!!!!!

Jena Malone is apparently unaware that the term “Indian Giver” is highly, highly offensive. And I never said anything about her voice, okay?!

I love Chloe!

@Biglot: I don’t think that Jena deliberately wants to upset native Americans, but she just uses it as an expression, maybe she’s a little bit ignorant. What do you think of her live voice?

@Biglot: I’m Native American and am fully aware of the terms “Indian giver” and “sitting Indian style”. I remember that term was used a lot when I was growing up in elementary school/middle school during the 1990s (even the teachers said it, in ref to the sitting position) and I’m assuming that Jena grew up saying it, thinking nothing of it, and still does. That definitely makes her ignorant, but I don’t think she’s trying to offend anyone. I’m glad now that schools say “criss cross apple sauce”, and hopefully one day everyone will stop using both terms entirely. It even says on Wikipedia “writer and editor Philip Herbst says that although the phrase is often used innocently by children, it may be interpreted as offensive”. As I said, I believe Jena grew up not thinking much of the term. Her and I are the same age so those chances are good.

@J: @J: I agree with you and i’m gonna meet her for real cause she’s my idol. I will ask her why she used that term.
