Eli Wallach Dead - Legendary Actor Dies at 98

Legendary actor Eli Wallach has died at the age of 98.

The actor’s death was confirmed by his daughter Katherine, according to the New York Times.

Eli was known for his roles in 1956′s Baby Doll, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, and was last seen in Shia LaBeouf‘s Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps in 2010.

During the same year, Eli received an Honorary Academy Award at the second annual Governors Awards, for “a lifetime’s worth of indelible screen characters.”

What a great actor he was. Strangely we just got the feeling we should watch The Holiday tonight, one of his more recent films, and a great family romantic comedy. What a career he’s had that stretches decades. Hollywood’s finest.

I find this beautiful…I don’t know what the life was that he lived, but he lived to the beautiful age of 98!! what is sad is that we don’t all get to die at this full age

His last great role for me was in The Holiday opposite Kate Winslet. He made that movie special. RIP.

@Em: Agreed…loved him in that movie..loved the movie period. May he rest in peace now.

Loved him in many roles (Godfather III and How to Steal a Million opposite Audrey Hepburn). Great actor, he will be missed!
