Prince Carl Philip of Sweden and Sofia Hellqvist are engaged to be married!

“Sofia has today said yes to the question to spend the rest of her life together with me. Today is a very happy day for Sofia and I,” the 35-year-old royal said in a statement. The royal couple also debuted a brand new royal engagement portrait today. Pictured inside!

The press release continued that the date has not been decided, but will take place sometime next summer.

The King of Sweden gave consent to his son before asking the Swedish government for approval of the marriage.

Sofia, 29, a former model, has been with the Prince since 2010.
