Kendall & Kylie Jenner's Ghostwriter Maya Sloan: 'People Are Trying to Take This Away From the Girls'

The 18-year-old model and her sister Kylie, 16, recently opened up about Maya Sloan, who helped pen their young adult novel, “Rebels: City of Indra.”

“We just wanted to do something different – not something everyone would have expected from us, like a fashion, high school kind of story,” Kendall told the L.A. Times.

Kylie added, “Maya wanted to understand our lingo. She’s super smart and just kind of adapted to us – remembering what we said and the way we talked.”

Maya said of the sisters, “People are trying to take this away from the girls. But most art is collaborative. It was never, like, ‘Maya – go off and write 10 chapters and send them back to us.’”
