Mia Wasikowska Envisions Herself as a 30-Year-Old Pregnant College Student One Day

Mia Wasikowska looks stunning on the cover of Interview magazine‘s August 2014 issue, on newsstands July 15.

Here is what the 24-year-old Maps to the Stars actress had to share with the mag:

On going to college: “I was like, ‘Oh, I need to go to university,’ because I need the consistency of one place and people and friends and things like that. But I think home has kind of replaced that. Having an apartment now, in Sydney, has helped. But I’ll probably end up being the pregnant 30-year-old in the back of the class at university one day.”

On childhood pets: “We had almost everything other than dogs, which ended up being so much more trouble than if we just got a dog. If one of us got a rabbit, then everybody had to get a rabbit, and then it was three rabbits and three hutches. It was a disaster.”

On being shy as a child: “I think I have a reputation for being quite shy, but I don’t think I’m too shy. I was probably reserved, but I would go between being really hyperactive and then very quiet. So I don’t really know what I was like. I guess I lived in a bit of a fantasy space in my mind.”

She’s beautiful. After seeing “Stoker” she’s now my favorite actress. She was great in “The Kids Are Alright” and also “Jane Eyre”, her and Michael Fassbender together were sublime. She’s quite intelligent, too, and she seems to have some class.

Good actress but I’ve only seen her in introspective roles. Can’t imagine her as an extrovert or an action lady.

@Solid: Watch her in Only Lovers Left Alive. Her character is as extroverted (not to mention hilarious) as it gets.

Being 30, pregnant, and in college at the same time sounds really depressing lol. Anyways, Mia is a fantastic actress, it’s great to get an education and better ones self, but hopefully she’ll be so busy with movies that she won’t have time for college. She’s that good.

@Sage: I wish Mia would have my baby, but no chance of that. I think she’s the best young actor out there, by far. She’s really different in every part and she brings so much depth to every film. She is fantastic.
