Prince George Lands 'Vanity Fair' Cover to Celebrate First Birthday!

Prince George and his parents, Kate Middleton and Prince William, grace the cover of Vanity Fair magazine’s August 2014 issue.

The magazine honored the young Prince on the cover for his first birthday, which falls on July 22!

Among topics covered in the article include a possible upcoming sibling for Prince George, having as normal an upbringing as possible, and going on long airplanes and appearances with his parents.

George didn’t really suffer from jet lag—he settled down very quickly,” a palace insider said of the little one’s trip to Australia and New Zealand with his parents earlier this year.

I would be so upset if I was a subscriber to this magazine and this is what came for the August issue. Especially if the above quote is the most interesting thing in the article.

Vanity Fair is an embarrassment with their celebrity, royal, rich white folk, old white folk, dead white folk and obsessions is emblematic of a time that should be long gone by now.

I would say that I am surprised by the negative comments this article has gotten but the truth is I’m not. The world is not the bright, shiny place that we all wish it could be, but complaining about a photograph of a baby on the cover of a magazine is completely asinine. Especially since the baby is happy and healthy and has not been murdered or abused. Stop whining.
