Josh Duhamel Joins the Fight to Save Arturo the Depressed Polar Bear

Josh Duhamel checks his cell phone real quick as he heads back to his car on Wednesday (July 16) in Brentwood, Calif.

The 41-year-old actor is just one of the latest people to try and raise awareness for Arturo the Polar Bear, who is being called depressed because he is trapped in a hot climate all day.

There is an online petition right now to try and get Arturo located to a cooler climate in Canada. Currently, there are tons of videos circulating online of Arturo looking forlorn pacing back and forth in his enclosed area in temperatures that are too hot for a Polar Bear.

Josh retweeted a link here all about Arturo. Please sign the online petition!

@swiftie: And there are animals that need help too, moron. The people of Argentina should have handled this, but they only think about their soccer team.

@“swiftie”: Don’t be stupid, this has been a problem since way before the World Cup. We only think about our soccer team for a month, if we’re not disqualified before, every four years. This issue’s been on the news various times and alot of people have protested. There was another polar bear that used to be in Bs. As. (this one’s in Mendoza) whom I saw the first and last time I went to the zoo there. He was in the same poor conditions. I was saddened, as well as everyone else who witnessed and promised not to go back. Anyways, with 35-40% annual inflation, the possibility of defaulting and crime rate going up, sorry the bear isn’t the first thing on our minds. Don’t talk about a country and it’s citizens if you know nothing about them, it makes you look ignorant.

@swiftie: yes, sad as that may be, in 50 years time, there will still be millions of starving kids all over the world, while there are no polar bears – or many other species. Twit.

@swiftie: The thing is, there is little we can do for the starving children, but a petition or two actually can save an individual animal’s life.
