Vanessa Williams Opens Up About Molestation at Age 10 By 18-Year-Old Woman

Vanessa Williams has opened up about her molestation at age 10 by an 18-year-old woman during a summer vacation to California on an episode of Oprah’s Master Class on OWN.

“One night she came into the room where my friend and I were sleeping. She told me to lie down on the floor. And she took my bottoms off and she said, ‘Be quiet,’ and she went down on me,” the 51-year-old actress said on the show. “And at 10 years old, I had no idea what it was, but I knew it felt good, and I knew I shouldn’t be saying anything, and I didn’t tell anyone.”

“It awakens your sexuality at an age where it shouldn’t be awakened,” Vanessa added. “Had that not happened in my life and had I had an opportunity to have a normal courtship with a boyfriend at 16 or whatever… there wouldn’t have been that shame that was always haunting me. It made me more sexually promiscuous and more sexually curious at a younger age than I should have been.”

    people in this country are oversexualized disgusting animals….
    next time you allow your daughter to prance around in public in her short shorts with her butt hanging out..think about what kind of predators are lurking around the corner..

    Do it afraid Vanessa, better late than never. I love this. More and more people need to come out after child abuse on many levels. Child abuse leads to all kinds of ailments that prevent us from loving and living well beyond successes. We all deserve to be loved and accepted as is. We need to drop all stigma regarding all of this, like, yesterday. Ban the stigma. Open up everyone! Abuse is not love.

    That’s a ridiculously sick thing to say. How does admitting to molestation keep you relevant? As if this will get her another hit record or part in a TV show? Grow up.

    If you see a woman over 40 with long thick hair, it’s probably fake. Shania Twain has hair extensions. Cher wears wigs. Most black women in entertainment wear hair pieces.

    Eww…why would anyone do that? Must be a weird power trip. Wish kids were allowed to just be kids and not have to be protected at all times against perverts.

    @AshleyLove: You’re so disgusting. No wonder. You’re a known Fist Brown fan. You always insult women who were mistreated. You’re trash like your fave Fist Brown.

    Amy Says:

    Good for her for speaking up. Sexual predators are scum and they come in all forms. To put your own selfish, deviant needs above the well being and rights of anyone else is unforgivable and criminal. If only kids would learn to speak up, we could lock the monsters up. The more it is talked about, the better chance kids will feel safe to tell.

    @Luna: She’s saying that physically it felt good but emotionally it messed with her. That’s another aspect of molestation that confuses children.

    How do you guys know if the 18 year old wasn’t raped herself.
    It’s so easy to point fingers and act like a victim, waahwahh pity me.
    Everyone is an innocent.

    Cal Says:

    @anotherpointofview:

    Even if the 18 yr old was raped, that is NO excuse to violate a 10 year old. Are you serious? She was the victim at 10 yrs old! The 18 year old had No right.

    Kurtsy Says:

    @GFW:
    In some cases recently brought to light, the assault were tried more like an act of terrorism. Many are not caught and free to terrorise their victims, ugh siddle – riddance to those.
