Jason Biggs Apologizes Again for His Malaysia Airlines Tweet

Jason Biggs suits up while heading to the studio for an appearance on The View on Monday morning (July 21) in New York City.

The 36-year-old Orange Is the New Black actor, who was joined by wife Jenny Mollen, gave the audience another apology for his poorly timed joke about the Malaysia Airlines plane crash last week.

“There was one line, an old adage,” Jason said. “‘Never attribute to malice that which is explained by stupidity.’ I certainly meant no harm; there was no malice, but I was stupid. It was poorly timed. I’ve always tried to find the humor in situations… it’s a knee-jerk reaction for me, it’s how I cope.”

“I have nothing but sympathy for the victims and their families,” he added. “I’ve learned my lesson and would like to move on.”

He’s made insensitive comments in the past, why should people believe in his apology now? He obviously didn’t regret tweeting the original ‘joke’ as he continued to send more insulting tweets after it until it seemed like he was forced to apologize…

this is really bothersome to me … ever heard of free speech? i believe it’s in our constitution somewhere …

it was a joke … he has absolutely NOTHING to apologize for.

@eternalozzie: No problem having free speech, but its about having morals and respect.

Fans of the show need to threaten boycott of the show if he remains part of the cast… and then continue to do so for any show he is connected to.

@eternalozzie: nobody said anything about free speech you moron.. He was a jerk and people are criticizing him for it. Only those bigger jerks than him see nothing wrong with his comments..

There was no malice in his tweet. It was sarcastically somber in tone. Even in his sarcasm there was a sense of disgust about the events that just happened. Give the guy a break. He clearly approaches things with humor.
