Ben McKenzie Looks Pensive as He Investigates a Murder for 'Gotham'

Ben McKenzie stands pondering the situation after a murder has been committed for a scene for Gotham on Tuesday (July 22) in New York City.

The 35-year-old actor was joined on set for the big murder investigation scene by his co-star Donal Logue. The next day, Ben continued filming while running with a gun!

Ben recently compared Gotham to a “Greek tragedy. The fate comes in the first act. The series is about the interesting journey and how the city falls into disrepair and total anarchy,” he said (via Deadline). We can’t wait for the series to premiere on Fox!

It’s always cool to get looks bts and see what goes into filming. Bonus to get quoted context on the series from Ben McKenzie even if it’s only an excerpt.

I can think of a few of my college profs who would be happy to see a ref like Ben McKenzie makes. I guess he paid attention in class! I’m ready and waiting to see Ben bring his “A” game to Gotham.

Most definitely looking forward to watching Ben on a weekly basis again. He should rock this role. I think he has some things in common with his character, like a good moral compass and working the brains with the brawn. Good, thoughtful quote to go with the pics.

I like Ben McK’s “Greek tragedy” comparison from Deadline. He made some other insightful comments reported from this week’s TCA and I loved watching the video of him interviewing the show’s exec producers. Fun stuff. He’s got a very good head on his shoulders. Selling me on any role he plays is easy! Yes, I’m counting down to Sept. 22.

Always good to have a look behind the cameras to see what’s involved and better yet, getting some intelligent comments. Looking forward to watching Ben at work and again and also to see what’s what from Comic-Con.
