Daniel Radcliffe Says That Sex is Much Better Sober

Daniel Radcliffe listens intently to a question while sitting down for a television interview on Wednesday (July 23) in Toronto, Canada.

The 25-year-old actor, who is busy promoting his new movie What If, celebrated his birthday that day. Happy birthday, Dan!

During a recent interview, Dan opened up about losing his virginity.

“I’m one of the few people who seem to have had a really good first time,” he told Elle. “It was with somebody I’d gotten to know well. I’m happy to say I’ve had a lot better sex since then, but it wasn’t as horrendously embarrassing as a lot of other people’s were—like my friend who got drunk and did it with a stranger under a bridge.”

He added about sex and sobriety, “For some people sex might be better drunk, but for me—and the person I’m doing it with—it’s much better sober.”

The day before, Dan stopped by the eTalk studios for another interview.

  • Oh my!!!

    Daniel too much privateinfo mister.!! You do not have to display your intimate details of your sex life.

  • Meh.

    @Oh my!!!:

    News and media outlets post about actors/actresses’ private lives, including sex lives all the time… Good for him for talking about it on his own terms, I’m sure he knows that he does not “have to”, but it’s his choice to do so.

    Also; clearly people asked the questions, so clearly some people really want to know about it, whether that’s good or bad. This article’s title clearly indicates what it’s about too, so you didn’t have to read it.

    I believe it’s ok when people and specifically celebrities talk about sex in a respectful and casual way and not sharing gross stories or too much information, but it seems like he’s talked about losing his virginity a little bit too much. OK I’m done with my banter, love you Dan!
