'Guardians of the Galaxy' End Credits Scene Details Revealed!

The highly anticipated Marvel film Guardians of the Galaxy is officially in theaters and that means we now know what the end credits scene consists of!

The scene was previously not attached to versions of the film that were shown at press screenings and premieres.

SPOILER ALERT – DO NOT CONTINUE IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!!!

As the credits end, we are brought back to Knowhere, the headquarters of The Collector (Benicio Del Toro), who looks to be disheveled and is sitting amongst the ruins of his destroyed building. He is drinking a bright green cocktail and the dog in the spacesuit that was held captive in his collection (whose name is Cosmo) is now licking his face.

A voice is heard saying, “What do you let him lick you like that for?” and the camera then turns to reveal the voice is coming from Howard The Duck.

In case you didn’t know, the character is a fan favorite of Marvel comic book fans and he received one of the worst reviewed movies of all time back in 1986. In the end credits scene, he is seen sitting in a broken display cage drinking an identical cocktail as The Collector.

“Gross,” Howard says while taking a long slurp of the drink. The screen then fades to black and a title card with “Howard the Duck, created by Steve Gerber and Val Mayerick” comes on the screen.
