'American Idol' Team Responds to Michael Johns' Death
The people behind American Idol have taken to Twitter to express their condolences following the death of former contestant Michael Johns.
The singer died at the age of 35 from a blood clot in his ankle.
Fox, FremantleMedia North America, 19 Entertainment and the American Idol team released a joint statement, saying “Michael Johns was an incredible talent and we are deeply saddened by the news of his passing. He was a part of our American Idol family and he will be truly missed. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and friends during this difficult time.”
The judges of Michael‘s season – Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson – also chimed in to send out their thoughts.
