Tom Hiddleston Being Courted for the 'Ben-Hur' Remake!

Tom Hiddleston is reportedly being courted to play the title role in the upcoming remake of the classic movie Ben-Hur.

The original film was released in 1959 and starred Charlton Heston as a Jewish prince who is betrayed and sent into slavery by a Roman friend. He later regains his freedom and comes back for revenge. The movie won 11 Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Actor in a Leading Role.

While Tom is rumored to be the first choice for the project, he has other projects possibly being lined up that could prevent him from taking the role, according to Deadline.
