Broadway's 'Aladdin' Pays Tribute to Robin Williams (Video)

Check out the cast of Broadway’s Aladdin paying tribute to the late Robin Williams on Tuesday (August 12) in New York City.

James Monroe Iglehart, who plays the Genie, led the whole audience in a sing-along of “Friend Like Me” after the performance at the New Amsterdam Theatre. Watch the moving video below!

In case you didn’t know, Robin was the voice of the Genie in the Disney movie Aladdin, which was released in 1992.

At the 2014 Tony Awards, James took home an award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his work as the Genie for the Broadway show.

Like I said before all the movies they are showing are from the 1980′s and 1990′s ! Not today 2014! Yesteryear? And improv no wonder he took his on life being pigeonholed as a “have to do improv Robin we need you!”. Wonder what is wife the Ad designer was like with him.. The signs were there but she did not pick up on it!

Great Tribute! I watched Aladdin earlier! It was my favorite movie growing up! R.I.P. Robin!
