Odeya Rush is 'The Giver' of JJ's Spotlight This Week! (Exclusive)

The gorgeous Odeya Rush is all class in this exclusive new pic from the latest edition of the Just Jared Spotlight Series.

“The cast is incredible,” the 17-year-old Israeli actress shared with us about her much-anticipated film The Giver. “I’m so fortunate that this happened so early in my life and career. These great actors taught me so much. Every movie I’ve done after this one, I’ve approached it in a different way after doing this film.”

The Giver, which is based on Lois Lowry‘s beloved young adult novel of the same name, is out this weekend! It also stars Meryl Streep, Alexander Skarsgard, Katie Holmes, Cameron Monaghan, Jeff Bridges, Emma Tremblay, Taylor Swift, and Brenton Thwaites.

“The interesting part of the movie is the arch that it takes,” Odeya adds. “When Jonas (Thwaites) begins to see color, when Jonas starts to feel things, when Jonas starts to receive memories, it makes you start to appreciate these things that we have in life and how beautiful they really are.”
