Kellan Lutz Auditioned for the Original 'Expendables,' But Was Shooting 'Twilight: New Moon' at the Time
Kellan Lutz takes a seat for an interview about his new film The Expendables 3 during an appearance on Good Morning America on Thursday (August 14) in New York City.
The 29-year-old actor opened up about how he got the role through writer and co-star Sylvester Stallone.
“I auditioned for the first Expendables back in 2009, when the first Twilight came out, and wasn’t able to do that due to the shooting of New Moon.” Kellan said. “And then the third one came out, and the girls had grown up with the Twilight franchise, and I walked into Sly‘s door and he said, ‘Would you mind taking a photo with my daughters? They’re huge fans.’ And I said, ‘Yes!’”
That same day, Kellan stopped by the SiriusXM Studios. Meanwhile, the day before, he threw out the first pitch at the Marlins baseball game in Miami, Fla.
