Selena Gomez puts on a brave face for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in a video she posted to her Instagram on Saturday afternoon (August 16).

The 22-year-old entertainer was nominated by her best friend Taylor Swift and Ryan Seacrest.

“Accepted!!!! @ryanseacrest @taylorswift my whole team is donating!” Selena captioned the video along with a heart emoji.

Earlier this week, Lily Collins, Lucy Hale and Lily Aldridge also took the challenge.

    While it’s great what they are doing the ice bucket challenge started in NZ/Aus to raise awareness for cancer not ALS. The feeling of cold water and ice rushing over you is to feel what a chemo patient has to go to everytime they do chemotherapy treatments. So it’s honorable but doesn’t make sense to the cause.
