Justin Timberlake Steps Out After Reportedly Sending Controversial Birthday Tweet to Madonna

Justin Timberlake takes in the sights of Paris, France as he preps for his evening concert on Thursday (August 21).

The 33-year-old entertainer is under some fire for a tweet he reportedly sent to Madonna on her birthday.

It read, “A happiest of Bdays to my mother chucking ninja, @Madonna!! Hope you have a great one, M!,” but was quickly deleted when fans started a backlash.

The word ninja is apparently sometimes used in place of a more derogatory term.

FYI: Justin is wearing a Scotch & Soda shirt.

    mick Says:

Seriously Jared? Ninja is used all the time and is not a racist word. All words starting with N are not being used in place of the actual N-word. He used it many days ago now to wish Madonna, whom he meant it as a warrior, a happy birthday. Why are you even talking about this now. I thought you were legitimate but I guess not. smh

If it dresses like a douchebag, talks like a douchebag, tweets like a racist douchebag……it is a DOUCHEBAG

    YOU are the douchebag Says:

@Meg: Timberlake is NOT racist, and everyone always tries to read something into nothing, then throw a tantrum about it. Get over it and stop being so overly sensitive, you whiny witch.

He is a great and nice guy. I saw someone posting on twitter picture with him on the street from today and saying how nice he was. People always try to bring him down by saying stupid stuff. I mean, how stupid does a person have to be to believe he is racist? It irritates me when people use term ‘racist’ without knowing what it’s really about. I love Justin.

    flm Says:

    @mick:

he also used “mother chucking” to replace another curse word. he did not mean “ninja” as warrior. i agree that justin isn’t a racist, but he was definitely using ninja in place of the n-word.

    Eli Says:

Wait, so now you can’t use the word ninja?! GMAB.
Pretty soon no word will be safe from people who love controversy.

  14. 14
    mick Says:

@flm: No he did not. That is reaching about as far as you can reach. He meant it just as the word is meant to be. No one is a Mother chucking Ninja more then Madonna. She is fierce and thats what he so obviously meant.

    Gina Says:

@mick: Ninja is a slang word in the black community. Its a substitute for the n word. So Justin was wrong for tweeting it. The n word was implied.

  19. 19
    Kay Says:

@angelia lee: I completely agree with you…IMO, JT is not racist. There is too much about him that SHOWS he is not. Some people are holding on to old news, feelings, etc. that should be kept in the past and not rehashed over and over again. SMH! No matter what he does or doesn’t do, there will always be some people who will complain or bash him. It’s a catch 22 with those types. The media is just PURPOSELY keeping this stuff going, too. As for the word Ninja, that word should not be hijacked from it’s ORIGINAL meaning to help fuel the hatred that all ready exist in this country…Please let’s move on, all ready!
