'Normal Heart' WINS Emmy for Best TV Movie

The Normal Heart was the big winner in the Outstanding Television Movie category at the 2014 Emmy Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Monday (August 25) in Los Angeles.

The movie was nominated for nine awards at the show tonight, including acting honors for Mark Ruffalo, Julia Roberts, Jim Parsons, Joe Mantello, Alfred Molina, and Matt Bomer. Unfortunately none of the actors won in their categories.

Director and producer Ryan Murphy accepted the award on behalf of the cast and crew.

Matt Bomer delivered the best performance on TV. Sad, Hollywood politics at its worst.
