Bryan Singer's Accuser Michael Egan Drops Sexual Abuse Lawsuit

Michael Egan, the man who accused X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer of sexual abuse, has dropped his lawsuit four months after making the shocking accusations.

In addition to dropping the lawsuit against Mr. Singer, he has also dropped the lawsuits that he filed against former television exec Garth Ancier and former Disney exec David Neuman, according to Variety.

Michael
accused the men of sexually abusing him when he was a minor during a trip to Hawaii. A federal judge granted the motion for voluntary dismissal on Wednesday.

Back in April, Bryan‘s lawyer announced his plans to counter-sue the accuser for making fabricated and malicious claims.

@Lara: Please….You seem naive about what goes on in Hollywood. There are alot of despicable people there who have done the same thing and worse. They probably got a fixer to threaten this guy within an inch of his life to get him to cave.

@Yeah right: Speaking of naive… you need to stop watching so much TV and reading so many tabloids, and instead live in the real world.

    Vendetta Chronicles Says:

It was painfully obvious that the charges were bogus and I knew it was a matter of time before the accuser would drop the suit. Now he’s in for a world of trouble when Singer’s lawyers get done with him.

This was such a blatant money grab trying to derail the X-Men Days Of Future Past press tour

How this guy ever got a hold of the Superman franchise only to make a boring movie I’ll never know! Those behind the scenes spots on the DVD with him fawning all over Brandon Routh kind of make me sick to my stomach.

not guilty, Egan should go to jail

    LOL Says:

If he got paid, his lawyers would make a point of letting people know..They reached a settlement. Otherwise he looks like what he is …someone desperate to extort money and blaming the actions of his past on another.

Seriously if he felt so degraded and used and abuse why would he take hush hush money? He would get more pleasure out of humiliating Singer in court.

    Belinda Says:

Did the Hollywood gay mafia around Singer threaten to break Egan’s leg?

    Lena Says:

@LOL: Do you remember how much they asked for in the original suit? 300k I think. Not much….And Herman said he feels he wins for his clients just by giving them a chance to confront their abusers? I thought it was odd when suddenly he withdrew and there was a published document showing Singer had offered some cash . And that was before the first hearing?…LOL… :) Oh well…

    Domino/Lara same person haha STU-PID!

Me thinks he was paid to go away. Fox certainly doesn’t want this scandal to interfere with X-Men: Apocalypse.
