Joan Rivers' Condition Remains Serious, Says Daughter Melissa Rivers

Melissa Rivers has spoken again about her mother Joan Rivers‘ hospitalization yesterday (August 28) in New York City.

“My mother would be so touched by the tributes and prayers that we have received from around the world. Her condition remains serious but she is receiving the best treatment and care possible. We ask that you continue to keep her in your thoughts as we pray for her recovery,” Melissa said to E! News about her 81-year-old mother, who was just last night put in a medically induced coma after she stopped breathing during surgery and went into cardiac or respiratory arrest.
