Miley Cyrus' Homeless VMAs 2014 Date Jesse Helt Turns Himself In to Oregon Jail

Jesse Helt, the once homeless man who accompanied Miley Cyrus to the 2014 MTV VMAs this past weekend, turned himself into police in Dallas, Oregon and posted $2,500 bail after news broke that he had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest.

“Jesse Helt turned himself in tonight to Polk County authorities to address his outstanding legal issues,” Jesse‘s friend Trevor Neilson told the AP via email. “Miley Cyrus will be assisting him with this process, and they both are committed to working to help the other 1.6 million youth who experience homelessness in America each year.”

Back in 2011, Jesse pleaded guilty to misdemeanor criminal mischief and criminal trespass, where he was sentenced to jail and probation. Jesse violated the sentence, and an arrest warrant was issued.
