Jennifer Garner Recognized for Her Work with Save the Children

Jennifer Garner steps out in a baggy button down to grab some lunch at Sugarfish on Friday (August 29) in Los Angeles.

The 42-year-old actress was recently named one of the 20 Women Changing the World by Marie Claire magazine’s latest issue! Be sure to check it out.

Jennifer was recognized for her work with Save the Children.

“Once you become a mom, you realize that everyone loves their children the same amount,” Jennifer told the mag. “So if these moms in Arkansas or Mississippi love their kids as much as I love my kids, how is it fair that they don’t have the help they need to make their kids’ lives as good as they can be?”

Glad to see Jen using her star power to help others in need in the world and bring awareness to issues that need our attention.

Now, Ben nominated Jen for the ALS ice water challenge, and I’m still waiting to see it. Did I miss it? Jimmy, Matt, and Neil Patrick did the challenge.

Anyone know if and why Jen has not done it yet?

Love this woman, she never forgot her roots no matter how succesfull she became. She gets bashed for her casual dress style because she dresses conservatively and never slutty.

If that’s the worse things the haters can say about such a remarkable woman/wife/mother/daughter/sister/actress, I think we know who is the better person. She could pass for all the other *REAL* moms. I agree she uses her celebrity to remind us to bring awareness and the tools necessary to help other mothers that don’t have the resources by trying to make their childrens’ lives easier by leveling the playing field.

I can’t say it enough, I love her so much!
