Josh Hutcherson Defends Jennifer Lawrence After Nude Photo Scandal: 'It's Not Fair'

Josh Hutcherson is speaking out about his Hunger Games co-star Jennifer Lawrence after her much-publicized nude photo scandal.

“Actually I haven’t talked to her but I just think all that stuff is so ridiculous,” the 21-year-old actor told ET Canada. “We’re people too man, we just want to live, we want to be normal people, it’s not fair.”

When asked how he got through his own nude scandal in 2013, Josh said, “I think everyone has their own way of getting through it. It’s something you obviously don’t want to happen to you and its really unfortunate that it happens but, I don’t know, I hate the way the world sort of views those sorts of issues. It’s really truly not fair.”

He continued, “We are actors, we didn’t get into this because we wanted scandal. We want to live our lives and be actors and like Jen and I always say…people say well you chose to be an actor you are going to have to deal with this kind of thing…well No, I started when I was 9 years old she started when she was like 12. We didn’t chose to have public scandal, we chose to become artists of acting and I love making movies this is what I can do, this is what I am good at. So its like because this is what I am good at and this is my career means I also have to suffer on this other side? Like, it’s not very fair.”
