Rihanna Pulled the Plug on Thursday Night Football Song Herself

Rihanna‘s team is now saying that it wasn’t CBS’ decision to get a new song for Thursday night football — it was hers.

The 26-year-old singer recently lashed out at the NFL and CBS after they pulled her song before the Ravens vs Steeler’s game last Thursday.

Rihanna’s rep told TMZ: “Due to the misuse and misrepresentation of Rihanna‘s name and participation in connection to CBS TNF, CBS was not allowed to license and utilize the song “Run This Town.” Roc Nation made the decision to not grant the song’s usage.”

What an attention whore. She’s worst than Taylor Swift and Beyonce.

  • Rachel

Yes Rihanna you did the right thing. CBS should not get away with punishing a dv survivor for something a man did.

  • CBS stinks

Its just so funny that CBS instead of owning up to their mistake they rather act like they dropped her when it was the opposite. Male egos are just so weak.

  • um

@Rachel: They were trying to be sensitive to her because she is a dv survivor.

  • YesRiri

Yes Rhi give them hell. CBS dare to pull you out because you’re a survivor, but then act like they have the right to be mad at you for not letting them punish you like that.

  • EJ

Seriously? She couldn’t understand the SENSITIVITY of the matter? She gets beaten, drags it into the media and then after a year or so goes back out with her batterer? Is she really that oblivious to question why CBS was having second thoughts?

She is STUPID. I really can’t stand her.

  • Rachel

@um: They singled her out BECAUSE she is a dv survivor and the Ravens played. To dont let her air because she survived that is just not fair. She gave them the green light to use her song and after that CBS is saying its not cool BECAUSE SHE IS A DV SURVIVOR and the Ravens are playing. Its not her fault what that Ray Rice guy did. She has nothing to do with him. That she is the one who gets singled out is nothing else but punishing her for what an other man did. So this was nothing but unsensitive of CBS. And then to say its because of the fans. Newsflash: common sense is still for free.

  • LOL

@EJ: Second thoughts??? CBS came to them and asked for that song. Nobody was checking for them. And then to act afterwards like because she is a dv survivor its not ok, so we need to pull her out because a man on the NFL did something bad is just disgusting.

  • EJ

Also I don’t consider her a dv survivor. I did…. UNTIL she went back with Chris Brown. But to return to a relationship after all the media circus she dates him a gain while giving the media and the public the finger. Telling everyone to mind their own business and then shoves her business in the media spotlight.

Seriously, I can’t stand this woman. Btw why can’t she wear clothing? Is she really that desperate for attention? Now she sells her body. What a hoe. ;-)

  • ew cbs

First they want her song, then they dont want it because Ray Rice is a violent disgusting trash bag, but the one who gets punished is the dv survivor. OK CBS. Great we understand logic aint for everybody.

  • Jay

But It was never her song. It is Jay Z’s song. She features only singing the hook, it’s not on her album, it’s on his. But he owns Rocnation so same difference, I guess.

  • EJ

To all the young babes in the woods:

She liked being the victim. Otherwise why go back for more? In the media spotlight. She is a sorry excuse for the real domestic violence victims out there in the real world.

I’m done saying my peace. Have a nice day.

  • well

Who cares who did what?? If she don’t understand why they did what they did then good for us because we don’t have to hear her crap singing. Move along, nothing to see here….

  • Ed

She so full of sh*t CBS already had paid for use of the song, and that’s not how copy right works.. Rihanna’s such a loser.
