Rihanna Slams CBS For Pulling Her Song From Thursday Night Football Intro

Rihanna is not happy with CBS after they pulled her Thursday Night Football song intro – she just blasted the network on Twitter.

“CBS you pulled my song last week, now you wanna slide it back in this Thursday? NO, F*ck you! Y’all are sad for penalizing me for this.” the 26-year-old entertainer wrote on her Twitter account this morning. “The audacity…”

CBS originally had pulled the song because they felt they needed to address Baltimore Ravens player Ray Rice‘s domestic violence. Fans didn’t think it was appropriate for Rihanna to be associated with last week’s game because the Ravens were playing and she is a victim of domestic violence herself.

Well it would have been more appropriate to ask Rihanna how she feels before yanking her song…why punish the survivor of domestic abuse?

  • melissa

they made the right decision. she is trash and just proved it again with her statement. the NFL looks bad right now and she would make it look even worse.

  • m

It makes ZERO sense to pull her song. A Chris Brown song, yes! But Rihanna. No f***ing way, that’s ridiculous. The NFL is ridiculous, those footballers all get brain injuries. It’s barbaric and stupid and obviously contains vile, abused men who abuse in turn.

say ‘no’ to violence, support women’s advocacy and rights.

  • JLover

And to think she has young fans looking up at her… she would vent in that manner… then again you all will continue to support her. Long live the Bajan Queen!

  • NO VICTIM

They pulled her song because like Ray Rice wife, Rihanna went back to Chris Brown after he put her DUMB AZZ in the hospital, and would still be with him if he hadn’t chose to be with his current girlfriend. We fans don’t blame victims when they learn from there mistakes, but these 2 women are bad examples and I no longer feel sorry for them when they keep themselves in abusive situations, especially Rihanna who has/had the means to make better decisions!

  • amanda

She’s pissed because they pulled it one week then put it back the next. Both times without informing her. It’s stupid to punish her and it’s hypocritical of the network. She’s just calling them out on their BS.

  • CBS are punishing dv victims

Thats a typical men club, just keep on punishing the woman for the things a man did to her. DIESGUSTING.

Made no sense last week. Im a football “DUDE” dont really care for her music, nevertheless, dont understand why they would do that to her last week. Just shows how out of touch with reality the nfl is. They are being pulled by the ear to the left and to the right. You can rarely make everyone happy.

  • gabby

It is not FANS who didn’t think it was appropriate, it was the ever sexist media, continuing to punish a woman for the actions of a man. The NFL, CBS, FOX, ESPN, etc. are drowning in confusion because they are now forced to confront how they handle sexism and violence against women.

Remember that. It was CBS who, instead of using her song, a woman who survived domestic violence so publicly, punished victims of dv, AGAIN.

  • paula

    Wow CBS is so lame.

  • One

She went back to him even after he beat her!!! That is not a good example for anyone!! I agree with their decision and only wish more people would hold these celebs to a higher standard.

  • Ugonna Wosu

she should have been grateful they were putting it back in. I just think it was a stupid move on her part.
