Ethan Hawke: 'Boyhood' Is the Manifestation of 20 Years of Work
Ethan Hawke is dapper as he attends his live taping of IMDB What To Watch with Ethan Hawke on Tuesday (September 30) in New York City.
The 43-year-old actor then made his way to the Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse at Lincoln Center to attend An Evening With Ethan Hawke held as part of the 2014 New York Film Festival.
Ethan recently revealed that it took many years for his film Boyhood to happen.
“Everybody knows Boyhood is kind of a manifestation of 12 years work,” Ethan expressed (via Design&Trend). “[But] the truth is it’s a manifestation of 20 years’ work ’cause it’s my relationship with Richard Linklater and kind of this ethos that we believe in and have been working towards making. You know, the ‘Before’ trilogy has its fans, but it never connected with audiences the way that Boyhood has, and that’s been incredibly rewarding. That’s why we do this.”
