'Twin Peaks' Returning to Television on Showtime in 2016!

Here is some super cool television news to start the week – Twin Peaks will be getting revived by Showtime with a nine-episode season set to air in 2016!

The short-lived series followed an idiosyncratic FBI Agent who investigates the murder of a young woman in the even more idiosyncratic town of Twin Peaks.

The new season will be a continuation of the cult favorite series. It will be set in the present day and continue storylines established in season two.

There is no word yet on casting, but the series originally starred Kyle MachLachlan, Lara Flynn Boyle, and more. The new series will most likely bow in early 2016 to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the show’s ending.
