Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed‘s relationship is really heating up — the couple revealed that they adopted a kitten together.

The 26-year-old actress showed off the adorable new addition to their family in an Instagram picture posted on Wednesday afternoon (October 15).

“Went to the animal shelter today to give some love to the babies living in cages who don’t have homes and ended up adopting this little girl! What should we name her?” Nikki captioned the photo.

Ian showed his support by retweeting the picture and adding: “The newest addition to the family!Holy s–t this little GIRL is amazing! PLEASE Adopt Adopt Adopt.”

FYI: Nikki is wearing a Logan Hollowell ring.
