Lupita Nyong'o Reveals That She Shaved Her Head at 19

The 31-year-old actress was heading to 10 Downing Street for a night out with friends – including Gone Girl actress Rosamund Pike.

Recently, Lupita revealed that she shaved her head at 19 because of damage to her hair from chemical treatments.

“But it wasn’t on a whim — I spent days thinking about it first,” she told Redbook magazine. “Once I did it, it was very liberating, but I also felt very naked. When you feel the wind on your scalp, it’s like, Oh, my God. But I’ve kept my hair short ever since.”
