“I do. I’m fortunate that I come from a large Catholic family and it is a bit like the clan, so I grew up with all my uncles and great uncles around. That definitely helped me. But my dad wasn’t there and I’m sad about that and I often wish that he’d been around. I didn’t see him until I was 16. However, my mum met and married somebody else when I was 15 and they’ve been together ever since,” Gerard shared with Today.

As someone who has lost her dad very young and grew up with amazing uncles around her, I can totally relate. It’s not the same as having your own father of course but to have family around that tries to fill the gaps best they can it’s definitely a great blessing.

Geostorm is filming, just follow the director Dean Devlin’s twitter – it doesn’t mean they are going to need all actors on set every day.

WOW JJ has ruined the site. Looks like nothing but censorship now. Almost no one posting but not that there’s much to post about these days. I’m off to find a better place to hang out.

Hmm, really wanted to talk about halloween costumes this week. To be a strong man, you first have to start out as a strong boy. My old man got caught up in ww2, he managed to take out a tank when he was 13 with a grenade, it’s not something that he asked to do, and his father was kept alive in a concentration camp (spielberg stuff). He became a cabinet maker, went on to be a male nurse, worked with his father in-law building prop-jet planes and started dairy farming. There’s a lot more to this, and relations have improved. A strong man now could be a father who follows fatherhood.org. or is simply there for the family.

Nothing remotely wrong with what he said. A lot of us get it and understand. My dad and stepmother married when I was 15 as well. By an Elvis impersonator in Vegas. They were married for 26 years. Things happen, enjoy loved ones, add on’s included. 😊

It’s important to have men who aren’t total slobs as role models too.
