Jack Bruce Dead - Cream Singer Dies at 71

Jack Bruce, the singer and bassist for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band Cream, has passed away at the age of 71.

“It is with great sadness that we, Jack‘s family, announce the passing of our beloved Jack: husband, father, granddad, and all round legend. The world of music will be a poorer place without him, but he lives on in his music and forever in our hearts,” the musician’s family wrote on Facebook.

Jack‘s publicist added, “He died today at his home in Suffolk surrounded by his family.”

Our thoughts go out to Jack‘s friends and family during this difficult time.

I am sad to hear the news that legendary bass guitarist Jack Bruce has passed away. The music he made with Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker as part of the 1960’s Super-group Cream is some of the greatest ever recorded.

One of my fav vid’s is CREAM performing “Sunshine of Your Love” with Jack Bruce and Eric Clapton trading off verses. It’s straight up 60′s rock -n-roll wonderfulness.
