Chadwick Boseman Is 'Black Panther' for New Marvel Movie!
Chadwick Boseman has officially landed the title role in the upcoming Marvel superhero film Black Panther!
The 37-year-old actor is best known for his roles in the biopics 42 and Get On Up, in which he played baseball player Jackie Robinson and singer James Brown, respectively.
Black Panther follows a character whose real name is T’Challa and is the “heir to the centuries-old ruling dynasty of the African kingdom Wakanda, and ritual leader of its Panther Clan.” The character’s powers are that his “senses and physical attributes have been enhanced to superhuman levels by the heart-shaped herb.”
“With Black Panther… He is definitively a big part of Civil War. We will meet him in Civil War, in costume,” Marvel president Kevin Feige said.
