Taylor Swift's '1989' Set for Record Breaking 1 Million Sales Week
Taylor Swift waves to her fans while arriving to the Ed Sullivan Theatre to tape an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman on Tuesday (October 28) in New York City.
It was just announced that the 24-year-old singer’s new album 1989 is officially on track to sell over 1 million copies in its first week of release, according to Billboard.
This will make Taylor‘s new album the first one of the year to break one million in the first week of release and also solidify her spot as the top-selling album released in 2014. In addition, she will become the first artist ever to top one million in first week sales for three albums.
Taylor‘s two previous albums, Red and Speak Now, both broke the million sales mark in 2012 and 2010, respectively.
FYI: Taylor is wearing an Antonio Berardi dress, Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, and an EFFY Jewelry ring.
