Taylor Swift Tops Billboard Chart with 1.287 Million Albums Sold

Taylor Swift has officially topped the Billboard 200 albums chart with 1989 and she has achieved the largest sales week for an album since 2002!

The 24-year-old singer’s new album sold 1.287 million copies in its first week of sales and she has broken a bunch of records. Check out some of them below:

• Largest sales week for album since Eminem‘s The Eminem Show sold 1.322 million in June 2002.
• Only musical act to ever sell more than one million copies of an album in a single week for three albums
• Biggest selling album released in 2014… after just one week of release
