Michelle Monaghan Helps Honor Iraq & Afghanistan Veterans

Michelle Monaghan goes for tri-colors while attending Iraq & Afghanistan Veterans of America’s 2014 Anniversary Heroes Gala on Thursday evening (November 13) in New York City.

The 38-year-old actress posed for photos with stock car racer Cale Conley.

“The unemployment rate for female veterans is nearly twice than that of male veterans. #NotFair,” she tweeted that day.

She added, “Thanks to #MichelleObama and @JoiningForces for shedding light on the high unemployment rate for female veterans”

The Heroes Gala celebrates our country’s newest and greatest generation of veterans and their supporters. On this night, IAVA honors the 2.8 million brave men and women who served this country.
