Lana Del Rey Emerges After Leaked Rape Footage Hits the Web

Lana Del Rey steps out in the chilly weather to take a stroll through the Soho district of New York City on Sunday (November 23).

The 29-year-old entertainer was spotted for the first time since footage was leaked revealing her getting forcibly raped by Eli Roth for some sort of short film. Marilyn Manson was supposedly involved in the whole process as well, but has denied any involvement since the NSFW footage caused great controversy.

What’s “interesting” is that the focus of this story, and the original story, is Lana Del Rey. She’s a young “performer” who is trying to have a multi-faceted career–and like many performers (especially women) she has allowed herself to work with (be used by?) people of questionable taste and morals. The Real Story is that people like Eli Roth make creepy, misogynistic films–that sell very well. The story is not that Ms. Del Rey’s fans or the public in general should be “shocked” that she participated–or that she should be ashamed. On the contrary, if anyone should be “ashamed” and held up to ridicule it’s Eli Roth for the disgusting and exploitative subject material for his films.

I’ve seen the clip and I think it’s distasteful. Knew she would be some one that glamorizes rape.

ive seen the clip and do not think it glamorizes rape in any way. I think you should consider the light you cast your media consumption in.. it says more about your own mind than the film’s creator’s..
