Meryl Streep Receives Medal of Freedom From President Obama - the Nation's Highest Civilian Honor!
President Barack Obama puts the Presidential Medal of Freedom on award winning actress Meryl Streep during a ceremony in the East Room of the White House on Monday (November 24) in Washington, DC.
The 65-year-old actress was awarded the nation’s highest civilian honor alongside others including Stevie Wonder and Tom Brokaw.
The evening before, Meryl attended a screening for her film Into the Woods alongside her co-stars Emily Blunt and Anna Kendrick – the film is already getting lots of Oscar buzz, but will not hit theaters until Christmas day.
Congratulations to Meryl on her huge accomplishment!
FYI: Emily is carrying a Marni bag.
