Nikki Reed Is Urgently Fighting for Pit Bulls in Louisiana - Find Out How You Can Help

Nikki Reed steps out looking stylish as she runs some errands on Monday (November 24) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 26-year-old actress wrote a plea for pit bulls on her Instagram that day, along with a picture of her giving her adopted pit bull a kiss on the nose.

“URGENT!!! PLEASE READ IMMEDIATELY!!! As a former owner of pit bulls and current adoptive mom of an incredibly sweet pit bull, as well as someone who grew up around both pit bulls and Rottweilers, I am both enraged and devastated to learn about the proposed “vicious dog ban” or Breed Specific Law in Louisiana,” Nikki captioned her photo. “I have worked with and rehabilitated many of these dogs in the past, and though there are examples of aggressive behaviors among these breeds, there are examples of aggressive behaviors among ALL breeds. We absolutely CANNOT make sweeping generalizations like this, stereotyping animals straight to their deaths. It is a barbaric approach, it is egregiously inhumane, and it makes me heartsick beyond words. This is NOT a solution to a problem. This is a mass murder of innocent life; dogs being sentenced to die without the chance to prove the worth of their beautiful souls.”

Nikki also included a link where you can help the cause.

FYI: Nikki is wearing an Allsaints blazer, Line Dry blouse, Tory Burch booties, Etnia Barcelona sunglasses, and a Madewell backpack.

“URGENT!!! PLEASE READ IMMEDIATELY!!! This is a mass murder of innocent life; dogs being sentenced to die without the chance to prove the worth of their beautiful souls. These are peoples’ pets, their family members, their best friends. I refuse to sit idly and allow this to happen and I’m asking you to join me in this fight RIGHT NOW. Speak up, use your voice, tell the authorities in Moreauville that, regardless of where you live, you will not stand for this breed specific genocide. Don’t let them set a precedent that could make its way to your town next. Thank you!”
