Taylor Swift Performs 'Blank Space' on 'The Voice'! (Video)

After Taylor Swift‘s stellar performance of her new single “Blank Space” over the weekend during the 2014 American Music Awards, the singer took to the stage during The Voice to perform it yet again!

The 24-year-old singer went solo for the performance instead of having her many dancers like last time.

Taylor previously appeared on The Voice earlier this season as a special mentor for the knockout round.

After the performance, Taylor chatted with host Carson Daly about having the chance to advise this year’s contestants and see them progress throughout the season.

The whole thing was lip synced and auto-tuned.

So you must agree with Swift’s talent as you cannot accept the good performance that she actually put on, and therefore must create a criticism when there is none.

American Music Awards – i’m not really feeling the “american” or “music” bit of this thing, but i’m happy they get awards. i get the odd award every now and again, and it feels nice. i’m sure they feel similar.

  • Tim Nichols

Lorde is totally rock, didn’t you see how she smeared her lipstick? Totally rock. Who needs guitars when you have a wrist?

  • Janice Chow

Who is Taylor Swift wearing? I LOVE this outfit…. anyone know?

  • PlayNice

I do NOT get what people hear when they listen to this girl. Her voice is awful. Yes, I know she writes her songs, kudos to her. But she’s painful to listen to.

  • PlayNice

I actually hear a lot of places where her voice went sharp and then flat. She does not hit all the notes. So I doubt there was auto-tune used. The chorus did have a track on it though to back her, obviously.

    How is she so flawless?

  • Маргарита Бабовникова

    what’s with your ear?

  • James C

Awful is a bit of an exaggeration. She hit almost all of the notes perfectly, the only really sharp notes I heard were when she sang “she” and “jealousy” in the second verse. Other than that, compared to the studio version, she did quite a great job, she has such a clear tone.

And and before you say that I’m deaf, I’m trained in music and my friends and music teachers say I have a great ear for pitch.

  • PlayNice

I think you sir, are in denial, but ok. Her tone is far from clear.
If I had a dime for every musician I’ve met who says they have an ear for pitches….

  • liz

she doesn’t sound too bad, but then again she used playback for all the choruses. i think the thing that bugs me about her is not her voice or anything about her musicality, it’s her recent arrogance and the way she tries SO HARD to strut and tousle her hair, trying to be fierce and look sexy. it’s too much. she didn’t used to do this, 4-5 years ago she knew how to be natural on stage.

If you think so, why you listen to Taylor??? I love her voice, songs, personality – I will travel 1000 miles to see her in concert – but it’s my business! But I don’t understand you: Better for you if you hate? Listen to you love, and leave it alone her!!! Thank you, faceless man!

  • Attila Gajdán

She’s the winner (without a doubt)! Who are you, hater?
Loser! Jealous, envious, angry… So pathetic!!!

  • PlayNice

Everyone is allowed to express their opinion. I like to listen to most of today’s current artists to stay up to date, and see if maybe I enjoy their new songs. There’s no hate here. I’m sure Swift is a lovely person. I’m just not a fan of her voice. I keep hoping her voice will get stronger, but oh well. If you don’t like my comment, stop reading it and don’t reply to it. :)

I read it your answer and I accepted them. I’m sorry if I overreacted your previous writing, but I’m obsessed for Taylor’s line “Haters gonna hate”! :) Taylor is not the best female singer indeed: for example see the less known british girl Maiday sing a song: True Tiger ft. Maiday – Big Love ['Zoned Out' Live] (find out on YouTube). She’s a better and more skilled singer than Ms. Swift, but her effect is invisible! I still think, Taylor is very good – sometimes little bit harsh, this is true – and I recommend it to your attention her performance Riptide (Vance Joy cover) at the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge (find out on YouTube). A beautiful, smooth, and really sophisticated performance from her! She needs more cover performances to demonstrate her knowledge? In fact she is 100 times better than Katy Perry or Ariana Grande (for example). And countless time more beautiful than those, (for me)!!! I thank your attention! I wait your answer, I will read it!

Jeez. You could teach a monkey 3 chords and people would call it “talent.” You have no musical credibility.
