Christian Bale to George Clooney: 'Stop Whining' Over Fame!

Christian Bale is sharing his thoughts on the paparazzi and why celebrities like George Clooney, who feel it’s an invasion of privacy, should “shut up” about it.

“It’s boring, isn’t it? You know what I mean? It doesn’t matter that he talks about it,” the 40-year-old actor told the Wall Street Journal when asked about George‘s stance on tabloids and privacy. “It’s like, come on, guys, just shut up. Just get on with it and live your lives and stop whining about it. I prefer not to whine about it.”

“I feel I should have as much privacy as anyone else,” Christian added.

I dislike Christian Bale…isn’t he the same guy that let fame get over his little head and yelled at a crew member at some movie? STFU

  • olivia123

I was thinking the same thing…I am not a huge Clooney fan at all but what a c*nt move on Christian’s part and also a stupid one since he (Christian) is known for being such a jerk on sets.

I agree with Christian. I hate celebs who are more than happy to take all the perqs of being famous and then cry about the paps following or taking pics of them.

Celebs make a living by being high profile and they are crying about flashbulbs being fired their way? The paps are not firing bullets at them but they act like they are getting shot at with guns, not cameras.

  • joam

    i agree :D

  • FormerLamark

It’s true. If you want privacy, then you should not be a celebrity, you should not be drunkard, womanizer in front of the world, to do show production weddings, to do commercials for millions, ect.

  • Courtney

The paparazzi are just plain rude! They barge right in yelling and taking pictures and they don’t care about invading these people’s space. Celebs are actually real people, and if they don’t want to be yelled at and have annoying flashing lights in their faces, then that’s their decision. I don’t blame them for hating the paps, they’re incredibly intrusive and just plain scum. Plus, they knew what being a celebrity involved. Just because they don’t like some parts of being a celebrity doesn’t mean they should quit. They still do their job.

  • Doryphore

George Clooney married a famewhore, who’s already busy signing autographs as if she’s famous in her own right. Prior to this, Clooney dated famewhores–the agreement being, he’d make them famous in exchnage for their company.

  • FormerLamark

Reassure me, please that it was a joke and MRS. Disgusting does not sign autographs! Has she got fans? Why and how! I’ll die..

i totaly agree with Christian….fuck….people are starving in the world….and you are occupied with the pap …..who gives a dam????

  • Moes23

Christian Bale bashing someone else about ‘whining’ and ‘being up himself’.
    Too ironic!1

  • kirki

On the one hand Clooney over exposes his private life. On the other hand though, Christian is known as extremely distant and rude. He should have chosen a different job if he didn’t want fans and fame.

  • procrastinator1980

There seems to be two kinds of actors.

The ones that prefer to let their work speak for itself but still they will do the promotion for any film as required of them, as is part of the job but not much more, they cherish their privacy and they manage to get privacy most of the time. I don’t even know where Bale lives when he isn’t acting. I know where Clooney lives. And I am not a fan of either actor so that I would care but I like Bale as an actor.

Then you have the actors that use the paparazzi when it suits them like Clooney and his wedding and contract girlfriends and others have their daily pap shots but then complain when the paparazzi are around when it does not suit them. Boo hoo. You invited the devil into your life so now you pay the price. The devil always wants more than you bargained for.

  • MimiB

George uses his celebrity status when it suits him, when he wants to be paid millions for ads, to promote his political views or latest film … then he complains when papz pay too much attention to him? Come on George… if you live by your celebrity, you pay a price because people are interested and you can’t just select when attention will be paid. Stop whining.

Plenty of celebs, like Christian, are able to keep out of the camera viewfinders… they simply don’t court publicity. Christian doesn’t sell his soul to advertisers of watches and cars like George does. Christian didn’t have a big well publicized splashy wedding in Venice. Christian doesn’t live in the heart of papz territory. When he is caught by the lenses, he just continues about his business and doesn’t whine that cameras are pointed his way.

Bale may be a c🔹🔹t, but the fact is he is totally correct about douchebag Clooney. Typical celeb hack who uses the paparazzi for his own ends but then pretends to “hate” them when they step a couple of yards behind the lines.

    Total hack job.

His new missus clearly doesn’t give one iota of a crap if he was run over tomorrow ••• except what she would lose out of the deal [💵].

Then again, this is Hollywood [i.e. sham marriage central.

  • Legendary Trolly

Yea well they should enjoy all the perks instead of crying and complaining about people wanting to worship them by taking their pics.

  • Courtney

You don’t get it. The paparazzi are scum! Maybe not all of them, but what they do to get pictures is below human decency. Not very many celebrities welcome them, in fact most of them cover their faces or yell at them to leave them alone. If a stranger with a camera shoved it in your face during a private moment with a loved one or when you just want some time to yourself, you’d resent them too. They knew that being an actor would come with it’s downsides. Doesn’t mean that they have to take it lying down.

  • Legendary Trolly

IDGAF about any of that. Your a millionaire, living like a superstar, and if you wanted to you can pick up and fly to france at any moment. You complain about people taking pictures and yelling? Well did they kick your azz? Did they harm you? Paps are a very SMALL price to pay and in NO WAY outweighs the good things that come along with being BLESSED to be in their position. IDGAF what ANYONE says. Im out here struggling myself. And lets not forget how George pimped out his fake marriage to the paps, he’s the last one to complain.

  • En Vogue

Well said, Christian. He may have a temper, but he sure has more integrity than George.
    Just a reflection:
One played Batman with ferocity, the other as a subdued charmer.

In an interview in 2011 with Piers Morgan, George Clooney stated that if he was ever in a situation where someone like a photographer would insult a woman who was walking with George, he would be forced to defend her. So he would rather never have to be in that situation in the first place.
Yet he went ahead and married an unattractive Arab transvestite clone with an attitude, who’s linked to Islamic terrorists through family & choice of clients. All for publicity.
See how George would react to insults now. In social media alone, the insults are there.

  • Anonima

George lost the plot long ago. He sacrificed a lot more than “privacy” too.
His whole life is a staged event.
The man has no integrity and lives a lie. He courted the media and invited them into his life because he wanted publicity. Every photo op is the result of his PR team notifying the paparazzi.

George’s life will never be complete.

  • Doryphore

I have seen her signing autographs.

  • amethyst

Does that include the children of the celebrities as well?

  • amethyst

Fair enough. But does that mean the Paps have the right to chase down and constantly photograph the children of the celebrities. Do you think a child is not entitled to his/her privacy because one or both parents is a famous celebrity?

  • Legendary Trolly

I dont care about that. Does a privileged famous person REALLY need to complain if thats the most of their worries?

  • Legendary Trolly

Having ya kids get their pics taken is the most of their worries? Put a mask on em like MJ did.

  • suzybel

You want to be famous and have everyone ooh and ahh over you, but you don’t want paps following you and getting in your face?? You can’t have it both ways, I agree, stop whining or go home.

  • FormerLamark

    Thanks. Sad very much.
