How important are the NBR awards?

  • just saying

We can’t take NBR too serious. I pretty sure A Most violent year and Clint Eastwood won’t win Oscars.

  • thelookoflove1365

Ok, I guess we’re all going to be posting hereon? Cool. Waiting for more good reviews for Unbroken.

  • just saying

Not very important. NYFCC is better

just like any other critic pick some movies will make Oscar list some will not plus its good publicity and gets listed on IMDB

  • thelookoflove1365

Trolls please! Cake got the worse review.

  • lurker

I disagree is as important as any of those critic awards not as important as PGA, DGA, SAG and GG

  • trt

Funny how they say Unbroken is too violent and yet they choose a more violent movie as best pic.
And I bet American Sniper is not a benign film either.

  • thelookoflove1365

Drink plenty of liquid. My preference is hot/warm lemonade; real lemons, not the powder ones.

  • tweet Angie

Jack won for Starred Up and Unbroken, and Unbroken made the top ten and Starred Up the top ten independent movie.

    where is Cake shit?

  • lurker

its stale they are trying to put it on comedy for GG but it is rejected

  • thelookoflove1365

tita-that’s just an excuse for these morons on why they don’t want/vote for certain movies, instead of admitting their own bias. Real life sometimes is too violent & not pretty.

  • valis202

Woohoo. Congrats Brad, Angie and Jack for the NBR recognition.

And heres a weird-sounding, robotic report of the event on utube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kqgu5N8mReo

  • thelookoflove1365

Cake was old & moldy so they try to discount it but no buyer, then try to freshen it up by owner eating it (self releasing), still stale cake. Tried to compost/recycle it (comedy for GG) but rejected.

  • trt

    You’re right, It’s a robot reporting. Lol.

Can’t…too naseous! Even lemon tea makes me want to puke. Bought some of that Cold-Eze crap and some Tylenol Cold with expectorant. DIS-GUST-ING! Bleh!

Just saw the NBR picks – off the wall as expected except for Julianne Moore. I can’t believe they had no love for Ticky! Unbroken made the top 10 though. I still think it has a good shot at a BP nom. Probably no director nom for Angie though since the Academy may still harbor some love for Clint. Time will tell.cetainly not trolls…

  • just saying

Let’s hope NBR brings some awards attention to Fury, Take notes SAG Best ensemble.

The Cast Of Unbroken Talks Working With Angelina Jolie

Garrett Hedlund, Jack O’Connell, Miyavi and Finn Wittrock of Unbroken talk about working with Angelina Jolie on the film premiering in the U.S on Christmas Day.

The AW people are so mad becasue of the Fury ensemble win LOL

Miyavi he looks so good and I like the way he dresses.

That unbroken critic from the Playlist is so stupid LOL

    Breakthrough Performance:
    Jack O’Connell – “Starred Up” & “Unbroken”

Congrats to Jack – National Review Board Award

  • thelookoflove1365

Yeah, I thought he dressed well & more like a run way model during the Australian premiere. He will really look good on a catalog.

  • just saying

Last year the precursor awards were all over the place, looks like this year is going to be the same.

  • valis202

Which I think is a good thing. Will make for an exciting awards season.

  • changeling

Cake was never in contention for any category. They are only pushing for Aniston for best actress, after all it was her own money that financed that Cinelou distributing company in the drama category. They later realized that it will be hard for her to get in that category there are some serious contenders there and most likely locked up, so they tried to move to comedy as it looks more wide open, but it was rejected.

  • thelookoflove1365

Someone is having a meltdown. LOL. Somebody, please give that POS a binky laced with Xanax.

  • Passing Through

I forgot to say that I saw Fury made the NBR top 10, too. Hopefully the Academy pays attention to that because I know people who saw Fury and Interstellar and said Fury was better by a country mile – especially since you could understand the plot! What I didn’t see on the list though was – Selma. Hmmm. The Lego Movie…and Inherent Vice…but not Selma…

Wonder if Brad and Angie will go to the NBR awards gala? Jack’s getting an award, Clint’s getting and award and Brad’s buddy Edward Norton got Best Actor. Neither of them are getting individual awards though so I can see them skipping it. Especially since it’s 2 days before Z’s b-day.

That unbroken critic from the Playlist is so stupid LOL

    +++++++++++++++++++++

As I said the other day – there are 100 members of the NBR and not all of them were at that screening. The Playlist guy was talking about 1 or 2 people who belong to NBR not the whole group. Sasha Stone even thought they’d choose as Best Picture, so clearly not all of those Oscar watchers heard the same noise from NBR.

  • AWHODAT

Or better yet….laced with cyanide. LMFAO

  • just saying

Fury gets Best Ensemble award, supposedly Brad and the cast of Fury should be there, but Brad didn’t even go when IB won SAG Best ensemble.

  • thelookoflove1365

LOL, that wasted space POS is really sad, bitter, unhappy person. I bet, even family members are repulsed by him.
